My furbaby was diagnosed with liver cancer by another vet in town and that vet said my dog only had a wk or two weeks to live. Despite the news being devastating, I searched for a second opinion and was directed to Dr.Baker and his wonderful team. Long story short, Dr.Baker and his team worked quickly to find the best care despite there being limited options for my pup. The option we chose was the chemo treatment and we did see some successes. If it wasn't for their care we wouldn't have had an extra year with our furbaby, Bourbon. My pup had many health challenges though and Dr.Baker was very responsive even scheduling visits on his lunch break to make sure our furbaby had the best care. As far as billing goes- if you have pet insurance this team submits claims on your behalf and it doesnt matter which insurance company you have. This was very helpful for us!! As far as compassionate- they are the best and our furbaby loved it here too. After our furbaby completed the chemo treatment program, Lisa and the team gifted Bourbon a sowed bear and a personalized dog tag that said "cancer survivor." They really do the little things that matter here. I can't say enough great things about the team. YOU CAN TRUST THEM WITH YOUR FURBABY!! Thank you- Dr. Baker, Dr. Parke, Shannon, CJ, Alex, Hannah, Ashleigh, & Lisa for all the love you gave Bourbon ??

Been going here off and on for years. The tender and caring way the staff act is phenomenal. They're always so friendly and gentle with the animals. Both my boys are rescues, so the fact that they are mostly calm when in the facility speaks volumes.

Baring vet has been my family's vet since the late 80's. The vets have always been knowledgeable and kind. As the techs to. I will always take my furbabies to them. No matter how far I live in reno.

The staff at VCA have now saved our pup's life twice! The first time he was diagnosed with Addison's disease, and the second time with bladder stones. We are regular visitors, since our little guy now needs daily & monthly meds, and I won't take him anywhere else. The wait times are sometimes a bit long, due to the fact that they are an urgent care center as well, but we love the service and knowledge of their staff! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great care for their fur babies.

While we have gotten good care, getting care is tricky and sometimes impossible. It is over two months for any type of appointment. You can get an “urgent” care appointment…for a fee, and then you can wait for a crazy amount of time while they “prioritize” your need. It’s insane and definitely time to find a new vet. The phone staff is ill informed of urgent care practices.

thank you Dr. Davison and Dr. Sandoval for the care you have provided for my dogs. I live over an hour away from your clinic, but I cannot get the type of care the two of you provide with your knowledge and professionalism closer to my home. It truly is comforting to know, that you are there, and that I can rely on to veterinarians that have a great deal of experience and working knowledge in order to assist in my dog's welfare. We appreciate you, and we are grateful.

We chose this primarily for the location, but after multiple experiences with them over the phone and in person for visits, we have nothing but good things to say. We rescued our puppy in February 2023 and over the last several months have needed to reach out to them quite a few times. They are always very friendly and helpful! It gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything happens to my buddy that I can trust he is in good hands with VCA Baring.

I brought my 2 chihuahuas here for an exam and for one of them to get their vaccines. I'll start by saying how wonderful and nice the staff is. They're personable, and my dogs are comfortable with them for the most part. I say for the most part because chihuahuas have a certain type of attitude. For both their checkup, 1 of my dogs 3 vaccines, and my other dogs allergy shot, it came out to $355. Their exam/consultation cost $81. From there, you can ask the price of anything and they'll tell you. I brought Bo here the day before to the urgent care, and of course, that will cost more. Just the urgent care cost is $108 starting. I recommend coming early because it can get busy. I don't have insurance for my dogs, but I do know they offer a monthly paid care plan through their website. So, all the prices I listed could be different after insurance. I'm not sure about that, but like I said, you can always ask the staff for the actual price after insurance. They also have an app you can download that has all their documents uploaded after the visit. Their waiting room is so cute and has many supplies in the front you can buy. I recommend this place because the staff here definitely treats them with care. Also, I love that they have their waiting room separated. One half is for small dogs and cats, and the other side is for big dogs. It keeps it safe and predictable for everyone in the building.

We have been taking our dog, Leroy, to Dr. Jackie Pulver for a few years now, and I must say, the level of care and attention we have received is nothing short of outstanding. Dr. Pulver has consistently demonstrated not only a high degree of professionalism but also genuine compassion and understanding towards Leroy. On each visit, Leroy is greeted with warmth and kindness, which really helps in easing his anxiety. Dr. Pulver takes the time to thoroughly examine him and explains all the procedures in a way that's easy to understand. Her approach is always gentle and reassuring, making sure Leroy is comfortable throughout the check-ups. She offers helpful advice and answers any questions we might have. It's clear that her commitment to animals extends beyond the clinic walls. I highly recommend Dr. Jackie Pulver to any pet owner who seeks a veterinarian who combines expertise with a heart. Her exceptional care has made a significant difference in Leroy's health and well-being, and for that, we are truly grateful.
