The cashier in front was extremely rude from the moment we walked as she didn’t bother to acknowledge us and constantly kept a watch on me as I was walking around the store making me feel like i was not welcomed. Compared to the other two ladies that had walked in after me and my sister (both were greeted with a “hi welcome in”). When we did approach the counter to pay for a pair of shoes she still did not bother to acknowledge us. She never once said the total and when a pair of $65 shoes came out to $73 we were a little confused so asked her how much taxes were, she then caught an attitude with us. After asking if we could just cancel the transaction she didn’t say anything but just scoff. Sadly it felt like we were judged based on our appearance and race.

So many great finds and the owner Tessa goes way beyond to help. Quite an array of so many different furnishing items. I found way too many things that I wanted to buy.

I met Tessa when she had a small used furniture store in Sparks off Prater. I bought several pieces from her. She has a great eye and a sense of style. Her store, The Nest, has a fantastic selection of vintage items. It's clean; it's well organized. My only issue is with her prices. This is used "vintage". Her location is on Keystone; it's not South Lake or Truckee, where you might get the kind of clientele that will overpay for vintage items. I went in on a Saturday afternoon when you'd think people would be shopping, but not a single shopper. Just a bored cashier who barely looked up. I know they only pay a little for their inventory, but how do they stay in business? It could be such a wonderful, happening shop if they played some vinyl, had a Saturday matinee, and played old, wonderful movies. Have a book club and read old classics. I don't know, I hate to see all that great inventory collect dust when people would shop and buy more if the prices were lowered. Just my take.

Really cute vintage secondhand store. Felt like I was back in the 1960's-70s the moment I walked through the door. They have a nice selection of decor and clothing and you can find some really unusual pieces. And if you're a corningware collector this is your place!

The nest is a cute little vintage antique shop. We went in to find my daughter some clothes because she loves the vintage look. We didn't end up purchasing but it was really coolTo look around!

One of my favorite places to go since I was in high school when The Nest opened. We are so lucky to have a thrift store with this quality of vintage. Love it.

The items are seriously over priced. Paid $24 for a bowl and found it for $3.99 elsewhere. Fun to browse through.
