This place is fabulous! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is super clean. It’s a really great place with so much to offer from the smoothies, personal trainers, special events, tons of specialty classes and it even has a spa & salon connected to it. There is definitely something for everyone!

Our Hoist machines are amazing! As a Pilates instructor, I love the targeted intensity but low joint impact. I made significant changes in body fat, muscle mass, & metabolic rate in only 4 weeks! I look forward to my workouts now.

I’ve been attending Pilates Reformer classes for several years now. My body scan testing from last year to this year, 2024, has greatly improved. I’m so pleased about my improvement! Thanks SWAC!

Sports West has good staff, but the new benches are terrible, not adjustable and bar sits at a very awkward position. Starting to feel very cramped, need more room for weight training.

I'm giving one star because of the policy of this gym and others that write into contracts that they can charge you dues if you don't cancel far enough in advance. It's absolutely ridiculous. A gym is not like a hotel that would lose something without proper notice, yet they feel entitled to another month's dues? The gym is actually pretty well-maintained. Yeah, you've got your handful of aggro meatheads, that one staff member that's fake nice her entire shift but is clearly a massive b, the pool was definitely overly chlorinated at times, but overall, I don't think I would have cancelled my membership any time soon if I had stayed in the area. It just seems to me that gyms capitalize on this stipulation of membership cancellation simply because they feel that they can, not for any recoupment of loss, and I think that's just wrong.

Expensive, rude, free weights suck. If you’re going to join a club in Reno, pass on Sports West. I tried calling to inquire about membership several times, no one was available, no calls returned. When I finally stopped by in person, the woman at the desk was very short and unwelcoming, and wanted a ton of personal information before I decided to join/met with membership staff— most likely so I could be incessantly emailed and texted if I didn’t sign up… the membership person didn’t even bother getting out of her seat, or to offer me to sit down when I went into the office— didn’t ask me anything about my fitness goals or what I was looking for in a club, didn’t offer me a tour, and seemed relatively annoyed when I had questions about classes??♀️If you want to take classes, the price of the membership more than doubled— for 2 classes a week! Or you can buy a $180 class card— but aren’t allowed to actually sign up for classes, so you may or may not be able to get into them even though you prepaid… classes notwithstanding, the free weights, which are also important to me, look very meager and delapidated, small selection/look like they are from the 80s, from what I could see, not being given a tour…Tried to contact management about this experience, and to give the club an opportunity to show itself in a better light, but the staff was unaware of when the manager would be in, or available, and refused to provide me with any contact information— which seems very weird… apparently they don’t want to hear from anyone, or care and are satisfied to have this be the impression of their club— so I’m leaving this review to share my experience and save others the wasted time and frustration I’ve experienced. If you want decent free weights, or to be treated with a modicum of hospitality or respect, especially for what they charge, try another gym— and for the money, you can take Pilates at a real studio, it’s just less convenient than if they are offered by a gym that actually wants you to be a member ??♀️

Nice gym. Just wish there was an area/multipurpose room that can be accesible with my monthly membership. Places like fitness for ten and fitness connection are a fraction of the cost, where an area is always available to get a workout in. Be it plyometrics, sprints, ab workout. If there’s a class starting, They will kick you out of the room even if you’re taking up 3x3 feet - Which I understand. However, not having a solution to this problem is what I don’t understand.

I like this place. it's clean, arranged and works 24 hours. But today I felt insulted، We're a family of four people, and we have a membership of three of us, my wife and my children over six month. They go to the gym a little bit, maybe 6 or 7 times a month My wife and our children go, and sometimes I go and our children, in general, three people, And sometimes my wife and I go without our children. And that was normal for over 6 months. Today, my wife and I went to the gym, a reception staff stopped me and asked me to pay $ 20 to come in or buy a fourth membership to me. I felt a big inconvenience and I didn't come in, why were you able to come in for over 6 months without that and today they ask me that if they asked me to do that from the beginning, that's I unacceptable and that I said respect , I advise the owner of the place to guide his employees to a professional way of dealing with visitors.

Something is Always Broken!!!! The Jacuzzi is always down, at some point it was closed for months. Sauna, steam room, and No hot water for showering, also staff never let's you know ahead off time. For the price you pay, it's ridiculous. The only thing it has going is it's open 24 hours.Updated: The Big issue is Not how often things are broken. The issue is the bad customer service, how little communication there is between your managemant, front desk & members. A sincere apology instead of This promotional reply would of gone a long way in fixing this issue, instead of using my complaint as opportunity for a free commercial.

I am a current member of this gym, and have never had any bad experience here besides on January 1st of 2024. Ive been going here since the beginning of October and love the facility and all the equipment it has to offer, for a very high price but it is the closest gym to me and I do appreciate the nice machines and various choices. January first I went in around 915 pm and had a non member friend meet me there and was prepared to pay the 20$ guest fee. Already an extremely high fee for guests when I pay 68 dollars a month but it is what it is. We were "greeted" by what I believe to be a manager who had initially given me the tour of the gym and helped me sign up, and another worker. The other worker turned around very snarky with no smile once I announced our presence and that I had a guest with me. The manager, maybe she's an owner, somewhat respectfully told us the cutoff for guests was 8pm. This made no sense to me as I had brought friends in multiple times at 10pm or later and I pay for 24 hour access to this gym. I said okay, thank you, and we walked out. I got back in my car and was so confused.. so we went back in where I was met with only the second worker who was snarky and disrespectful right off the bat. I asked if we had just spoken to her and she said yes, and I told her nicely that I was wondering when this rule came to be as I had brought friends in late before. She said someone must've broken the rules and that "it isn't happening" as she chuckled and smirked in our faces. I was so appalled and felt stupid and embarrassed to have come back in and asked because of how she treated me. When I asked why, she gave me a one word response saying "liability." this is absolutely understandable but I was just confused about why it had been allowed before and I was seeking clarification. She looked at me like I had asked if I could have the entire gym to myself all night. I just wanted to know for the future. I left feeling bent over as I pay so much for this gym and this worker really just spat in my face, metaphorically. I would expect better for such a high price. at very least decent respect for other human beings. I still go here. I probably will for a long time, but I hope to never interact with this woman again.
