We have taken our poodle three times for cardiac care with Dr. Catherine Gunther-Harr. Each time Dr. G and the staff have been great at care, explanations, and setting up a plan. Fortunately we have only had testing and no treatment needs so I can’t comment further, but I can say I have high confidence in them and if treatment was needed we would not hesitate to get that done with Dr. G and staff.

This was the first time I ever had to take an animal to emergency vet so I was very nervous, but the employees were warm and welcoming. We were able to get in and out quickly. They were very accommodating to my high anxiety dog. Overall a really good experience.

Had a scary situation with one our Shih Tzu pups and the ladies took amazing care of her and answered all of our questions. Would 100% recommend

Needed help with my senior pooch and was very happy with the friendly and helpful staff. The veterinarian helped my girl get through a rough time. Highly recommend!

My poor puppy is having a terrible allergic reaction. Took an hour and forty five minutes to finally get seen. Says he needs Apoquel and steroids (which is the exact treatment I assumed he’d be getting) but the Vet “didn’t want to step on toes,” and prescribe him Apoquel which is an allergy medication, so now after $240, I’m sitting here with my puppy, it’s after midnight and he’s running all over the house panting and trying to itch himself to death. Meanwhile the only thing they gave him was prednisone which doesn’t work immediately. Thanks for nothing!

I am unable to adequately put into words how thankful I am for blue pearl. Dr. Maclellan properly diagnosed my dog along with Dr. Quelling with a very rare flesh eating bacterial disease that would have absolutely taken my dogs life if I hadn’t gotten a PERSONAL phone call from Dr.Maclellan telling me he was calling in his dermatology specialist to meet with us(Dr. Quilling who came to see us on her day off before her wedding). He understood the severity of the situation having not even examined my dog in person(just speaking with my family vet which is also above and beyond behavior). He not only saved my dog in our initial encounter but also continued to protect his quality of life by performing a TPLO on my now tripaw due to the initial disease only weeks ago. my dog is fully healed with no restrictions thanks to blue pearl and especially Dr. Maclellan and his willingness to go above and beyond for his patients.

The vet was extremely nice and I appreciated how thorough and nice they were to my baby girl! The waiting room was really clean and they have lots of precautions to keep animals separated! Which I really loved because my girl can be rambunctious and rile up bigger dogs. Overall the staff is amazing and very understanding. 10/10 for me and my girl Tazz!

I’ve been there twice. The first time they told me to put my cat down. I refused. She went on to live 6 more healthy years. The second time they turned my dog away. They didn’t have enough staff. I recommend the emergency vet on South Virginia St.

Had an emergency with my older dog while on vacation in Tahoe and found BluePearl online. I’ve visited several emergency vets in California over the years for different pets and this was one of the best experiences to date. They were friendly, knowledgeable and communicative throughout the entire process. My dog stayed in the ICU for two nights and came home with the meds prescribed. They reached out to my normal vet at home and provided the records without asking so I could seamless continue her care. I would definitely recommend them if you’re facing an emergency with your pet.

My dog ate a bottle of nasal spray and we had to rush her in, they took us back almost immediately. We decided to not go with treatment and take her home to watch her instead and they told us we could come back if we seen any symptoms get worse or come back for reassurance that she is okay for vitals, etc. my girlfriend and I felt that the staff took us serious and handled the situation with extreme professionalism and most importantly, we could tell they cared. Reye Wilson told us how to even check her heart beat so we could monitor at home properly. Our dog Artemis seems to be doing fine, so thank you to the staff and thank you Reye for being a great person.
