Terry Shepro has been my life insurance agent for about 15 years. I recently had some questions and a problem with my policy and called Terry to help me. Most of the time, most of us manage our lives and take care of ourselves and our health. But times arise when our ability to manage these falters. Failing health is one. A major one. Enter Terry Shepro and a short story.Almost immediately after retirement, David and I moved to Reno. We had and have no family or relatives nearby. David was diagnosed with “Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)”. He was treated over the following 12 years in Reno and at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, reportedly the largest cancer center in the world. He experienced wild periods of remission and exacerbation with hospitalizations in Reno, once with the complication of pancreatitis while enrolled in a clinical trial at M.D. Anderson, twice for pneumonia, for C Diff, a broken kneecap, and the insertion of a pacemaker. After one of many visits to M.D. Anderson, we learned he also had a second condition: “Persistent Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)” a rare but fatal type of leukemia which proved to live up to its deadly reputation. David died in 2021 after a six-month, inexpressible period of an extremely painful, exacerbation and death.Over the 12- year period, the cost of David’s medical interventions was staggering. The insurance decisions to consider were daunting, some of which included undergoing treatment in and out of state, hospitalizations, treatment from many specialists, chemotherapy, and other drug requirements. Without Terry Shepro’s years of experience, expert insurance expertise, and knowledge of the health care insurance industry, the insurance decisions could potentially have resulted in our financial ruin.Throughout this entire 12 years, Terry Shepro became one of the most cherished people in my husband’s life. Terry met with David numerous times explaining health care insurance, a subject foreign to one who has been insured through work for 44 years. In addition, Terry relentlessly followed up, tracked down, and sorted out a myriad of convoluted health care administrative decisions that would tax even the most adroit among us. He helped us find the most cost-effective albeit changing health and drug plans to suit David’s ever progressing illness while preserving his quality of life.During the last months of David’s life, Terry visited him at home and subsequently attended David’s funeral Mass and ceremony, at the burial site, and stayed on to meet David’s family and neighbors. Since then, Terry has been nothing short of a Godsend to me, an exhausted widow, not only in mourning but attempting to cope after months of 24-7 care and management of David’s environment and home.Somehow, we have come to believe that the whole process I just described, common to many people and families, is not doable. Somehow, we have come to believe that no Terry Shepros’ exist anymore. But the process IS doable, and I know for certain that there exists at least one Terry Shepro. I was introduced to Terry through a friend on mine. I was trying to figure out what was the best way to go on health insurance as I was about to retire. Terry gave me many options checking not only coverage but cost. By the time he explained all my options I felt confident that with Terry’s help I made the correct choice. I was right!!! After having used the insurance a number of times it’s been a flawless experience and with No out of pocket expense for almost every event.Since then I came into a situation where I needed to purchase health insurance for our 4 yr old granddaughter and once again he was spot on. I wouldn’t use anyone else for my insurance needs

I highly recommend Terry. He's put in a lot of time, effort and attention to detail to find me the policies I want. I've asked some difficult things of him and he does the research necessary to answer my questions, even for some small policies where I know he doesn't stand to gain much from the sale.
