Not sure where other reviewers are shopping, but Save Mart certainly does not have good prices or a decent selection. The decor and general appearance reminds me of a pre-2000 supermarket, yet the prices have routinely caused me to laugh out loud.
Ever since the hedge fund Kingswood Capital Management acquired Save Mart in 2022, prices have ballooned. This little neighborhood store upcharges over 50% on some items, but at least 20% or more on virtually everything.
Take Annie’s Deluxe Mac n Cheese. At Walmart or Winco, it costs $3.50. At Save Mart they’re charging $6.59! That’s unbelievable. Why are people paying these prices? As much as I hate Walmart, I’m simply not going to pay $7 for a box of pasta when it costs half that price everywhere else. Especially when Walmart is across the street from this Save Mart.
When prices started going up in March 2022 after the hedge fund acquisition, I voted with my feet. Went in yesterday to pick up a simple items on the way back from the gym and turned around when I saw the prices.
Highway robbery!
The good news is that this store is going to go out of business. It’s happening across the country at super markets that got greedy during the pandemic. Even though this store is closer to my house than Walmart, I will never buy another thing there again. They can’t close soon enough.

Save Mart is one of the most expensive supermarkets I have visited in town. I have a difficult time finding some things I go there to get, because the store is quite small. I shop at WINCO most times.

I hate going to this Savemart. The grocery cart corrals in their parking lot are missing the metal bar which keeps the carts from coasting out and slamming into parked cars. And when that happens, you can better believe Savemart isn't going to pay for your auto repairs.
It's been this way for a couple of years. The owner clearly doesn't care. If you have a nice car, I suggest shopping elsewhere.

Very helpful and Excellent Customer Service from everyone ? who works at the west 7th in Reno NV. They have the best Bakery. I would Recommend SaveMart to all of my friends and family. But I wish that they would keep the Name " LUCKYs " .

My visit was pleasant. The personnel was very nice and accomodating and I was able to purchase the sale item I went there to buy. Otherwise, I don't shop there regularly because of the HIGH price's. We have found that the meat department has the best quality of meat of any store, in Reno. But like I previously mentioned, we onky shop there when a sale feature's item's we are looking for.

Went there to buy some meat for a BBQ picked up some pork chops and when I opened them they were rotten went back to exchange it and everyone I opened was rotten I looked at their beef and all of it was brown and nasty looking I never had a problem before but everytime I go back All of their meat still looks the same

The cashier here was very rude at this save Mart she refused to help me with my discount's like the five dollars was out of her pocket. I needed that $5.
