I ordered through the Safeway app and I had many missing items once they were delivered. Called customer service for a refund for the missing item, and they suggested they could deliver the next day ( free of charge) and some items would be refunded. This morning I received a call from Dorothy ( Dug manager) and she's been very helpful. Thank you Dorothy for your amazing customer service.

I don't know whose brilliant idea it was to get rid of the hand baskets but 2 trips now you are making it very inconvenient to shop. More than likely will not be another visit. Used to like this store........

Quality/Quantity - Good instock conditions. They had both the 8lb oranges and yesterday's advertisement of shrimp in stock. Too bad I forgot to bring my shrimp rain check... Atmosphere - Huge Safeway with a gas station, see pictures. Amazon lockers right outside Safeway, easy access. Department available - Deli, fresh produce, meat & seafood, pharmacy, Starbucks, bakery, and of course groceries, etc. Store is open 24 hours, see picture for Pharmacy hours. Gas station hours - 5am to 11pm. Free wifi, I did not use it. Plenty of parking. Service - Self service, so good. Price - $3.97! Inexpensive for 8 lbs of oranges! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1915 with your 904 locations in 17 states. 2015 - Albertsons purchased Safeway.

I bought a gift card at 2am yesterday for my sisters birthday and wasn’t made aware that i couldn’t until she went to spend the money on it the next day and was told there was no money on it. I came in today at 4:45pm to figure out what the issue was beings i was charged the $50 for it and the employee i spoke with pretty much told me i need to come in the morning on their time and did not try to fix the issue for me. I can not come in anytime sooner than when i did today and she blew me off and said “i’ll just take your number and we will call you”… I feel like this is extremely frustrating beings i just got it the day prior, brought in the receipt that showed the card was pending and the card (with the envelope it comes in)… I just can’t believe i am expected to come in day after day for a card that they chose to sell to me without disclosing that they couldn’t. I would like to add that the employee i spoke to said “you shouldn’t have bought this, night crew shouldn’t be selling gift cards” like i knew prior to that even though i told her that it wasn’t the first time i purchased one at night and it shouldn’t be expected of me to just know i'm not supposed buy them at night when it not like i work there. Just think the whole situation is being handled horribly and definitely not fair that i was pretty much blamed for the other employees mistake.

Fantastic, clean and logically placed store. The staff is friendly and helpful.However, the self check out specifically for vegetables needs to be reevaluated. It is very difficult and complicated and you cannot spell what you are buying. It makes you choose three letters of the alphabet to find your item. Safeway should fix this.Winco is easier and their self check out is easy to use. This should be fixed.

Tried a pickup order and they tried to substitute literally the same product that was 4.97 per pound for something that was 7.99 per pound. Literally the same exact product. That's some crooked bait and switch sales techniques if you ask me.

I just want to shout out Alvin from Safeway. I had a bunch of groceries in my arms at the self check out today (I should have grabbed a cart but I bought more than I thought) and there was a line. He saw me went out of his way to leave his post to help grab some of my groceries and scan them for me. He was so nice and polite and even helped me when I was about to pay for the wrong price on a vegetable! Not to mention he was multitasking with another customer and helping them with their transactions as well! He even helped me bag them! Every time I see him he is always working hard and being friendly and efficient. He could have just stood there and let me struggle but he saw me in need of help and really made my night better.

I want to give a shout out to my local Safeway - especially after reading all the negative reviews. In my experience, everyone that works here has been very pleasant. Yes, sometimes they are out of things but that has been the exception, not the rule. And they typically decorate the store according to the seasons to make it a bit more festive. I get regular emails from Safeway which include virtual coupons that I can "clip" and use at the store when I enter my phone number at checkout. The discount is more than what is advertised on the products in the store. And I now have the app because sometimes they have Items which can be further discounted by scanning a displayed label. When they are available, they are clearly marked in the store. Today, I felt the deli went above and beyond! The last few times I have stopped by, they have been out of seafood salad. A worker told me she could go in the back and make it for me - no problem! I didn't want to put her out but she insisted and within a few minutes she had a container for me! She said to always ask because they will try to find what you are looking for. Nice!
