DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. This is a scam. I prepaid for my car rental including insurance. They were happy to take my money.When I arrived on the day to pick up my car, I called their phone line to schedule a pick up. They never showed up.The store hours listed on the message machine said they were open until 6pm. This was a lie. I paid $300 for a car I never received. Expedia won't reimburse me. Rent-a-wreck won't reimburse me. I guess Expedia's policy for reimbursement is that they must contact the supplier before they will reimburse you. Obviously the supplier won't answer Expedia's calls or emails. All I can do now is post a negative review and hope that nobody else does business with Rent-a-wreck. I will be posting a review here, and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.Rent-a-wreck and Expedia stole $300 from me.

Rented an economy car through Expedia and happily ended up with a Subaru Impreza. It was a fast and easy check in. When we flew into Reno airport we called the company and they picked us up directly from the airport in the rental car and drove us to the office (\\u003c10 min drive). When we finished our trip and returned the rental car they were able to drop me back off at the airport. Terri (if I’m not mistaken) was extremely nice and friendly.

We had fast, efficient service in our rental pick-up, paperwork and delivery. Un fortunately when we returned our car and were taken to the airport we did not complete the final paperwork. A week later we were notified with a claim for damages ( that we had no knowledge of). Initials on document acknowledging damages were a day after our departure. So, be diligent about paperwork and maybe even use photos at beginning and end if use.

Well, of course once I reported it through my creditor, they eventually replied and confirmed they would process my refund minus the penalty fee. It still took them forever to do so. My creditor actually credited the charge first, because they had no response from them either. Then, this company finally refunded me, so my creditor had to go back and reverse the charges, another inconvenience. So, they did resolve it, but nowhere near in a timely manner, and also created additional issues. Ugh.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! I never got a confirmation them had to call and write messages over 10 times and no one would respond. I couldn't get any answers to my questions or to even get a confirmation. The number they give to call for a shuttle from the airport, no one answered it, and I did t want to get stuck flying in and then paying for an Uber to get my rental. Terrible business and communication. Then when I finally got through to someone after the 15th time they said my reservation was canceled (but failed to ever mention it to me) and then wouldn't refund the money even though they confirmed they canceled the reservation. Don't get stuck paying for a rental car and then getting stranded having to pay for Ubers anyway!

First time using Rent-A-Wreck and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great pick up and drop off at the Reno/Taho airport. Car was roomy, clean, and well maintained. I would much rather support this small business than the high priced chain companies. Thank you Rent-A-Wreck!

Great price (cheapest deal i found). We were picked up from the airport to the office where we had our papers sorted in a min and left with no hassle at all. On the way back, the staff there also dropped us at the airport. Great service, minimal hassle, very reliable car. Would definitely use same service when we come back!

Had a card for My deposit. The old lady tells me she can't rent me a car. Doesn't give me a reason. I had already paid through Expedia and now won't get my money back. Don't recommend this place. Waste of time.

This is a mom and pop shop and they really treat you like family. They are incredibly fast and efficient to getting you out on the road quick! They even pick you at the airport within 10 mins of you landing, which was awesome not having to wait around!

Rented a vehicle from the Reno office. Handled all the paperwork prior to arrival. Called Dawn from the airport & she arrived within 10 minutes. Service was excellent. Returned a week later & Jerry dropped me at the airport which is only five minutes from the office. Wouldn't hesitate to rent again on my next visit. The car was in excellent condition for a vehicle having 62,000 miles. A great value considering the extremely high cost of current airport rentals.

Shady contracts, dirty vehicles, dishonest people.The guy that owns this location is clearly a miserable human. He will do anything to screw you over. If you rent from a company like Expedia with "unlimited miles and no restrictions" when you get there to sign they will tell you it’s a 100 mile limit per day and a 300 mile limit to your radius. Avoid at all costs!

This recent deal I had with this renting company felt like I was scammed. I reserved a 15 passenger van and in the following week they cancelled it and gave me the reason they were out of the van because it was damaged. Then I contact their office and as soon as frustration hits their face their attitude went savage and does not even want to bother helping. This was not long ago 12/7/22 and until now I am still waiting for my money to get refunded for the amount of $334. C’mon now… life is hard and I am not a stingy person, if you really that poor and greedy I hope you get the best of the kind of karma you deserved. Bottom line this business does not need any good recommendations and folks keep away from them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I reserved a car to drive to Palm Springs and back. Afterwards, I get an email from them asking what I was doing with the car. I mentioned my trip and they told me I can't take the car past a 300 mile radius. They don't give you that kind of information up front? You handle your business this way? I am now fighting to get my money back. I canceled the day after I made the reservation and they won't refund me. AWFUL!

0/10 recommend this place. It was slightly cheaper than the rental places at the airport but not worth it whatsoever. My mom and I went in and they acted immediately annoyed that we were there. I can only assume this is a money laundering front because otherwise they wouldn't be in business. They first tried to give me a compact car when I paid for a larger car. They shook their heads very annoyed when I pointed this out and then eventually gave me a Subaru Outback which was filthy and reeked of cat pee on the inside. I returned the car over two weeks ago and still have not received my $200 deposit. They won't answer the phone but luckily I live in town so I plan to visit in person and get my money back. They are rude and thief's at the very least and warrant a police investigation.
