I was at the Renown South Meadows ER early morning on 4/2 symptoms of shortness of breath, vomiting blood, chest pain, and nausea. ER check in was a quick process then went to triage Peggy (triage RN) made me feel comfortable, welcomed, and listened to my concerns really well this is my first time UNR he hospital I was admitted into the ER Chris (night shift RN) was really nice and explained everything he was doing he did an EKG, started an IV, drew blood, and started the fluids. I was seen by Dr. Simmers she is such an amazing ER doctor she made me feel comfortable and she would check in so often I’ve never seen a doctor check in with me 4-5 times throughout the 4 hours that I was there. She explained things really well and listened to my concerns she ordered X-ray for precaution pneumonia which turned out to be normal and CT of my abdominal ended up finding out it was a thickening of the distal esophagus nothing urgent I was discharged and to follow up with GI. Michelle (day shift RN) was on top of it when I was in pain and gave me IV pain. Everyone in X-ray, CT, and PAR were all really nice and caring! This is an amazing hospital facility to get care at I would recommend this facility!!

Regardless of the negative reviews posted about this healthcare facility, our experience was excellent. Every single interaction with every employee was better than expected. The nurses, all of them, were incredible. Val, Irish, Lillian and others could not have been more helpful. Always smiling, friendly, willing to help at every request. The surgery team from pre-op, to the surgery, to post-op were first class. Dr. Nunley and Dr. Brewer were informative, friendly, and highly communicative. The surgery went smoothly and took care of the problem expeditiously. This hospital deserves recognition for excellent care and wonderful employees. Having been a hospital administrator, I’m impressed at this level of excellence throughout every level of this facility.Be aware one of the main parking lots is being re-paved (3/2024). There is a shuttle by the emergency exit, if needed.

An overwhelming lack of patient care and laziness from the staff. I had a two brain imaging appointments that had been scheduled for a month at 7:30 and 8:00 on a Sunday morning - and arrived at 7:10, five minutes before I was instructed to via email. Walked to the location described, after 'checking in' on my phone to find the lobby, and the area I was supposed to 'check in' again with empty - there were a few empty desks with no signs indicating I should go elsewhere. Sat down directly in front of the entrance to the MRI/imaging to ensure someone could see me, and made eye contact/positioned myself towards a staff member entering/exiting the hallway twice with no acknowledgment. After waiting for thirty minutes I walk to find someone in another department who states I was supposed to check in with them. So I immediately ask if it's too late and was told 'No, your fine. It's only been fifteen minutes and you've been here the whole time.' So I check in, pay my 669.40, and sit back down in front of the entrance to the MRI hallway only to have the same staff member walk up a few minutes later to say they cancelled my appointments. Not just the first appointment, but the second one that wasn't supposed to start for another ten minutes.Extremely dissapointed by lack of clarity regarding my appointments, being completely disregarded by the staff, and not being able to complete the imaging to figure out what's wrong with me. On top of everything as I'm walking to my vehicle I received two 'appointment cancelled' emails. One for each appointment, and the reason stated was 'patient.' They somehow came to the conclusion this was my fault. In no way shape or form should anyone go to, or send a family member/loved one to a facility that operates this way. I have never been so blatantly disregarded/ignored in a medical setting ever.

Careless observations, inaccurate diagnosis, reckless discharge of patients. Beware.Update: my doctor left so I saw Edith Berejnaya, APRN this experience was shockingly bad in terms of professionalism, service and care. This is harmful to health.Unfortunately hometown health insurance is bound to renown care. I will give Renown one more shot before switching providers.Healthcare shouldn’t be like this. We are in America.

“Danielle” needs to be retrained on how to call the responsible party and letting them know a patient being discharged. I know you are mad for working late but you are not the only one working late shifts.

There’s apparently only one doctor working in the emergency Room and the emergency room is crammed with other patients because they apparently don’t have enough beds for their patients. That makes the patients that are waiting in the emergency room. Have to wait for 45 minutes to even be seen and then you have to wait again after they actually bring you back. So if you have an emergency, do not come to this emergency room. Act like you’re bothering them to be here

This er is an absolute joke. The nurse treat you like garbage and basically try and always tell you that you are fine without ever seeing an attending physician. The wait times are easily over three hours and most of the time people who came in after you will be seen before you. The doctors are no better, once finally in a room you are treated as if your a dollar sign and not a person with actual issues going on. I will never go back to this er. I go out of my way to avoid it.

Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience here at Renown came to the emergency room had to wait for about 2 hours and 20 mins to be attended while my father was having unsupportable abdominal pain, meanwhile we sat there and watched others who came in after us and were getting attended before that is nonsense, little did we know my father was in need for emergency surgery. This is sad, is this how you guys treat your patients and work your system??

How would you like to see your elderly parent admitted for two days of observation, and never have a physician provide any kind of summary about what is happening? How would you like to learn that your parent laid overnight in their own urine because the nurses wouldn’t respond to the call button? How would you like it if your parent asked for ice but the nurses kept forgetting to bring it for the injury? How would you like for the parent to be released home with no diagnoses, but also with the full knowledge of the doctors and nurses that they can’t even stand up, much less walk? Oh yeah. Get this- I’m at another urgent care center 4 days after my mom’s discharge and they took an X-ray of her right femur. It’s fractured. But Renown South Meadows didn’t see this!!! If you like that kind of treatment, definitely go to Renown South Meadows for medical care!

Everyone is great here at Renown South Meadows. Nurse Jojo R, RN and nurses aide Kenny C, CNA on the surgical 1st floor unit it’s awesome both of them are there when you need them and they are so kind. I felt like I was treated like a VIP patient. I have excellent nurses as well which is very important because I always come here to get hospitalized for a rare genetic disorder that I have. Here I'm listening to, my input matters, and it shapes my treatment plan here. I'm also able to get alternative forms of medicine here such as reiki and Charge Nurse Will A, RN was able to get spiritual care which allows me to speak to a chaplain. This is all wonderful me for me because I need as much support as possible especially whenever on hospitalized because my disease is very much triggered by emotional state. This is my second time being hospitalized this location and it's been great. The food is really good. The nurses as well as a Care partners take excellent care of me and a team of different doctors that I meet with which is about 4 that take care of me as well I praise Dr. Lopez and and Dr. Diaz I really love this location and plan on coming here in the future so personally I highly recommend it. I would like them to get them recognition from their leadership supervisor for their hard work. Thank you, Renown South Meadows.

I first went into the emergency room on Sunday with really horrid pain in my lower back and abdomen. DrGina Dapra was an angel as was the nurses. They got my pain taken care of and made a plan. My blood tests weren't so great and she didn't wish to discharge me with my pain as high as it was. We made a plan since my scans were good to keep me for a week and retest. I went to floor 1 room 107. The nurses and cna's there are extremely the Best in the business. Right on top of my medication, pain and just getting me whatever I needed. Even bathing me me in bed. However 2 days later walks in a doctor I had never seen. A Dr. Diaz. He starts by telling me the tests were all good now. Though I still had horrible pain at this time. He then asked why I wasn't taking my valium any more..as I tried to tell him my gen doctor and I were trying to get me off it. He prescribed it for me despite me saying I was fine. He talked over me saying I could have seizures...I tried to tell him I already have them and take meds to stop them. He wouldn't listen at all. So I refused the valium and the next morning he came in..and again talked down to me didn't listen. Lowered my pain medication that was working so much that I was back to screaming in pain again. He took me off the ER doctors schedule for pain meds. Gave me tylenol and very little of the pain meds i had been reciving Only to tell me he was discharging me..this after there was no re scans to make sure I was okay. He sent me home despite me not feeling comfortable. He didn't care nor listen. I would of given 5 stars had I not been talked down to by this man. I have never felt so degraded by a Doctor in my life. Here I sit at home with the tyelenol and 9 low dose pain meds He gave me...still in pain. Still doubled up..crying. but shout out to those Doctors and Nurses who even tried to advocate for me. Renown do better.. get these Doctors some bed side manners. I will be making a complaint. He treated me like I was nothing..a drug seeker perhaps..but I have a huge tolerance for pain and a low tolerance for pain meds. If I'm hurting ..there's a reason. Find out and don't dismiss me. That's literally your job..find out!!
