As a grant writer and a pretty reluctant entrepreneur, I've learned the hard way that you can get good at your craft while failing to market your abilities.
You can also get good at really inefficient outreach methods (don't ask how I know). After Sandy gave a digital marketing strategy presentation at a get-together for local entrepreneurs in Carson City, I knew I had to get in touch with her.
In a meeting, Sandy shared a lot of valuable information about digital marketing, SEO and using my website to get attention for my grant writing service in the greater Reno area - and beyond.
The day I started following her advice, I was already getting hits from potential clients. Now, I'm going into business with optimism for the future, rather than fear that past marketing mistakes will prevent me from having one.
