Was on time for appointment with Dr Baumgartner checked in and sat for over an hour with no word from receptionist as to why. When I asked she said 15 more min and that did not happen. Not good. Had to leave without seeing Dr to go to next appointment. Lost work for appointment. Not a good look for that office.

My doctor is awesome. I appreciate his professionalism and general demeanor. His attention to detail is why I would give this practice any stars. Once you are out of the doctors office things go downhill rapidly. Take for example we got 6 inches of snow in Reno last night and they chose to close the office down today. My seamstress and every other business in Reno is open, but not these folks. If this is their way of doing business in Northern Nevada - they will need to reassess as we get snow consistently here. I can't imagine cancelling an entire days worth of appointments over snow - just silly. Now if you call while they are on lunch or when they have decided to close on a business day due to snow the outside call center they use is atrocious. I almost gave up - and I am assuming many of the negative reviews below are from getting that service. I think originally to get an appointment here I sat on hold for 30 minutes. I gave up at the 30 minute mark and just kept calling repeatedly until I got someone in the office. I had an appointment 12/6 with my doctor and things went well. After that things have gone downhill rapidly. I have been referred to get several tests done and was handed off to another doctor Zamboni and that is where things went south rapidly. I can't get her assistant to return any of my calls - nor does she ever pick up the phone. They evidently mail you your referral and some two weeks later I still don't have that. I then walked down to the office only to find out they could have faxed it to me. The assistant then made me wait for 30 minutes in the waiting room while she printed it. Now I find out the referral isn't worth the paper it is printed on as the referral isn't filled out correctly and the specialist is confused as to what tests they want done. They also referred me to a specialist that doesn't even do the type of test they want done. I am leaving town on 2/15 for 8 months. I thought by getting in to visit a doctor on 12/6 we could handle getting the correct test scheduled. Now well over a month later we have scheduled one test, but the other Zamboni still hasn't referred correctly so I am able to schedule it. It is unacceptable to take over a month to get a referral together, then once it is made it is done incorrectly two times. The way it had been handled originally I would have been paying $$$ for the incorrect test. I am hoping they are open tomorrow and that they get this straightened out ASAP as this has created quite a time suck for me on the phone off the phone and faxing and waiting in their office to print referrals. Ralston Family Physicians and specifically Zamboni needs to get it together.

These doctors are amazing. They figured out my wife's years-long ongoing issues in a single visit. They are very busy but there is a reason why.

I’m very confused, I called on Friday to get a referral at 10:30am. The answering service said I called after hours. I know they are open, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this . Does anyone know why they don’t answer when they are open? I’ve been going to this place since 1994, I absolutely love Dr O’Gara, otherwise I would go elsewhere.

Excellent providers! I’m always impressed with the utmost courtesy and respect when visiting Ralston Family Practice. The entire staff, Dr Zamboni and Maria specifically, are knowledgeable, professional and very personable. They always take the time to call me and follow up when necessary, explaining and communicating what is important. They are all wonderful people and excellent providers.

This office is by far the worst medical practice I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. From the start, scheduling a new patient appointment was like pulling teeth and when the time came for my first telehealth visit, the doctor called me almost two hours late and I had to rush through the call because I was planning to talk hours earlier so when she did call I was working & unable to talk. The second telehealth visit simply never happened for reasons unknown & uncommunicated to me. After my most recent visit I left a voicemail to ask for a referral to an allergist because of something I mentioned during my visit, but the doctor didn't write it down so it was quite difficult even getting a referral because they weren't able to bill it without the doctor notes. I had labs drawn two weeks ago for a long-term recurring issue I'm having & labcorp promptly sent me the results and I have now left 3 voicemails for Dr. Zamboni et al to get the breakdown of the results but they refuse to call me back, so now I'm concerned I might have kidney disease or something because I have no idea what I'm looking at. So I'm left in the dark panicking trying to figure out my results for two weeks+. I've been feeling awful for months and all I want is an answer that would take 5 minutes to relay so I can make the appropriate lifestyle changes. I've worked in smaller family practices as well as larger hospitals & I do not understand why they can't return these simple calls. From the get-go when I scheduled my new patient visit over a year ago, I've had issues EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. whether it's not being able to get through to anybody on the phone, the website scheduling not working, calls not being returned, or telehealth calls being completely skipped over and wasting my time, it's not worth it.TLDR Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Way too many negative 1 star reviews for me to even waste my time. Lots of bad reviews about no one's calls being returned, medication, and unprofessional staff. I'll take my chances elsewhere. Besides, they don't even do the right thing and respond to reviews, which means they're as terrible as it sounds without any reason, remorse, or excuse. Goodbye before hello.

I needed them to switch some medicine over that my insurance didn’t cover and I kept reaching out to them every day and they kept saying they would get back to me and never did. They also only took 3 minutes on my new patient appointment. They don’t care.

The office staff and nursing staff are rude. After hours phone calls are a joke. If you have a question, the flunky answering the phone decides whether you get to speak to the doctor on call or not. In some instances, you receive a bill for calling afterhours. It was not like this pre-Covid.Also, getting medicine refills or anything else done is like pulling teeth. 72 hours is the usual timeframe and that is if they even call you back or answer requests from other physicians and pharmacies. The refill line worker has her own opinions about the medicines my family has been prescribed by the primary doctor at that office. Just refill them without your commentary. Also, stop holding them up due to your own opinions. God and Karma will get you, because what comes around will go around. The new billing company, Watland, tries to double bill patients. Our insurance company has informed us to get receipts which we do.
