Ordered a set of cabinets to be delivered to my home for installation. Came quickly, however one cabinet was damaged. HD stated that they would charge $80 to pick up and deliver a replacement. Had to pay my contractor to replace it. Called to ensure that the exchange would go smoothly. I was assured it would be a direct swap. Instead they made him pay for the new cabinet and returned the other to my card. I would not make any large purchases from this location.

Rented the flat bed truck for an hour and was upcharged for fuel on return even though I put fuel in the truck. They claimed it was at a higher level when it was rented but that was based on supervisor checking the vehicle and saying it was at 7/8 tank at first. When I returned it they claimed it was 13/16's, even though I drove less than 16 miles and actually put in 1.5 gallons. They method of verification lacked accuracy and logic. They also claimed there was no way to reverse the charge after the rental was finished, although they could have stated this before completing the transaction as I returned the vehicle 15 minutes early. Dishonest, unhelpful, disappointing experience.

I hope this business decides at some point to improve its service. I live nearby so it's the most convenient and the past 5 years it has gotten worse and worse. There are a few good employees but overall it rarely pays off to ask for help. Several times I have talked to employees who don't know there store or products or how to do searches at customer service, and often they will just down right lie and pretend they know when they clearly don't. I have used the website to locate items if I know ahead of time what I'm getting, but sometimes products are not where they say they are, but mostly that works ok. I recently was on their website looking for heaters and noticed all the good reviews and clearly there is some sort of review scam. There's no way a place like that has so many good reviews! I pretty much just go to the worst reviews to get the real scoop on products now. I read several reviews on heaters that were supposed to have been recalled due to a KNOWN defect but they were still selling them and causing a lot of customer frustration with having to do returns. There is one creepy older employee who has some sort of impulse control issue with his dog obsession. This has been a problem for st least two years approx. The last time I saw him and immediately told him NO to giving my dog a treat or attention (because I'm training I said), he wouldn't stop staring at her, didn't back up (it was a crowded busy area already) and I literally had to put myself between him and my dog and repeat myself. I'm going to start telling him to leave us alone right from the start now. Overall it's still somewhere I will shop because I love hardware stores and it's pleasant enough to walk around in. Usually.

Came here to do some shopping and and we came in to do a purchase thru phone. Seemed like no employee at the store wanted to do it because no one was at the stand and when we went to ask an employee she was very rude about it saying "THERES NO ONE THERE TO DO IT" . (this employee was doing nothing but standing there with another employee and talking the whole time so i didn't really even bother her if anything that's her job.) so then we had to take all of the 3 full carts of wood to the other side of the store to customer service where we were serviced with a lady named Dolores. Now Dolores also seemed mad that we wanted to do a phone sale. She seemed very bothered by our presence. Basically was talking to us in a very rude way. Needless to say I will not be returning to this home depot location even tho it was our closest option i would rather go farther to never experience this service again.

I have been without an oven since March 3 due to supply chain issues. When I try to order it it told me there was no stock and I could not place my order so I was ecstatic when I attempted an order in July and the order went through with a delivery date of August 3. Flash forward to today When I get an email that it won't be available until October 28 for delivery. Talk about bait and switch. And of course you can't get a refund they've only had my money and used it since July. And do they give me the courtesy of a phone call to explain what happened? No, they just send me another email because they don't want to deal with customer satisfaction live and in person. I will never, repeat never, shop at Home Depot again. Their dishonest marketing and ordering techniques should be illegal. If a product is unavailable then you shouldn't be able to order it and pay for it in advance. That's $4000+ of my money that I could probably have taken to another provider and had my oven by now.

I can understand why this store has a 2.5 rating. I went to return a Microwave that was damaged, still in the box. It had been delivered on Thursday 7-14, being a contractor we don,t always install appliances at delivery time. Thursday 7-21 we opened the box to install it and the glass was shattered. I took it back to the store for a return. I was told by a clerk to call the delivery company. They told me the store had to return it. Went back to the store asked to see a manager. Was told in a stern voice after 48 hours no returns. Well this might be your policy, but as a general manager in the hotel business for 30 years I was taught if the policy doesn't create superior customer service, then change the policy!! This is not superior service but poor service. The manager could have approached it with an offer to give 20% off a new one, $100 gift certificate or as I would have done taken it back and give a new one. This $200 mistake on your part will cost you at least ten fold from this contractor.

Not sure why this HD has only 2.5 average because the people working here are always insanely helpful and happy to help. I have used HD for many things from painting, fans, lights, gardening, creating my own water cooling tower, and even renting a flatbed truck. They have always gone above and beyond here. Even the younger high school kids who truly seem to enjoy their jobs at HD. Every time I have a project and need that extra bit of help realizing it, the staff here are excited to talk through the project and give input on which supplies I will need.

Worst customer service rep ive ever delt with BC is his name, made my wife cry after screaming at her to get a propane tank out of the building. Heres a tip get some competent sales people who understand what you are asking forfirdt then post that full propane tanks cannot be taken into customer returns instead of screaming at people. We wont be back to home depot card canceled

Jack and Paul saved the day. Our project was going the wrong direction. Jack suggested we should go a completely different direction with our project, Paul agree. They took the time to show us exactly how to do that. It worked out perfectly. It may have taken a little longer but it was well worth it. The snow is no longer a problem. Thanks Jack and Paul Home Depot. If you see Jack or Paul at the store please let them know about this post.

I feel like it is so easy to report the negative about places. Too many people want to share a bad experience so the good ones seem to fall away. I went to Home Depot on Virginia street today and had the most amazing experience. I was checked out by the kindest and most amazing person named Dylan. He was more than diligent and attentive. I lost my keys and he offered to watch my cart while I tried to find them. The manager James double checked if I had found them! The customer service here is absolutely top notch! They should help with other stores customer service. I am grateful for all the time and consideration they provide!

My husband and I arrived to Home Depot to shop for new flooring, kitchen cabinets, countertops and window coverings. We made it to flooring first and picked out a few samples. We then noticed two female employees seated near the kitchen countertop samples chatting amongst each other. My husband inquired whether they offered any kitchen packages the ladies chuckled, one replied packages? Ugh, no. And kept talking to each other. They then stated the kitchen employee wouldn't be in until later on that afternoon. These employees have no concept of what good customer service should be

Home depots new policy is to not accept any returns without the receipt. I had a whole grab bag of misc items from a bunch of different purchases and now I'm Stuck. I'll be doing my best to shop at our local hardware store from now on out

Do not I repeat do not use Home Depot for flooring purchase and installation. We ordered vinyl laminate flooring in April for our vacation home in Truckee. Home Depot had no idea what was going on with our order the whole time. The contractors they use are Romanoff Renovations and a 2 day job turned into 3 months. In the end the job was not satisfactory. After 6 different visits and installers I just said no more! I will get the job fixed with another flooring company. I'm not sure how a Romanoff is even in business. The problem is that you pay for the job before it's even done thru Home Depot. You you literally have no recourse. Again never ever use Home Depot for this type of job!

I ordered an item on line, my order was received by HD, my name was placed on the order. I received a text saying my order was ready. I went to HD followed the instructions, letting HD know I was at curbside pickup. A young man named Omar came out ( very polite and professional ) and informed me that my order was missing. That it had been given to another customer by one of HD professionally trained associates. Even though it had my name on it, the HD professionally trained associate gave it away. HD informed me they had a unit at another location. No offer to have it shipped to your store, or have someone go pick it up, no reasonable offer for the inconvenience. "Here you go go get it." It is apparent that HD's service desk lacks the ability to service responsibly. This reflects directly onto the HD Management.
