This is a good place to get meat when you're looking for something high quality. Everything I have tried over the years has been excellent. My favorite item from Poderosa is their seasoned tri-tip.

Have placed a couple orders here the workers here are extremely sweet would have done a five-star but this time around I got a couple cuts of meat that were kind of expensive that was not sealed correctly and got ruined brought it to the company's attention and they will not exchange for correctly sealed meet so extremely bummed out had to re purchase same cuts to replace... Got a couple pics good seal vs bad got meet same day look at difference the seal makes in keeping fresh.

Some great items and some great prices. It's a little tiny storefront but don't be scared ask them for what you're looking for because they have it all safely stored away and all that's meaty deliciousness. :-) they had some great prices on lamb and oxtail which may make this my new go to place for meat

Ordered a 5 bone-in Prime Rib for a family gathering. It was trimmed, boned and tied back (with the bones). Cooked on my Trager for 6 hours and it was the best ever. So tender, juicy and flavor-town!

Talk about customer service... I ordered a whole pig to do a "lechon" a few weeks prior to picking up. The "pig lady" who I spoke to a few times on the phone was SO KIND. Great customer service. The pig ended up being 49lbs and it was only $230! Great price. So if anyone is having a luau or Filipino party... order your pig thru Ponderosa!

Had what I needed when no other meat market did!! Life saver. Now they are my go to meat market. I don't mind the drive down from Truckee it's totally worth it.

Went in with a simple question about buying a cut of meat. The lady at the front was very nice and helpful but the head butcher/manager was very unpleasant and rude. Instead of answering with a simple yes or no he decided to mock me and act like my question was d**** There are plenty of great meat markets and butchers around, I’d suggest going elsewhere where.

This place is the best!! Their jalapeño Pineapple Tri Tip is outstanding!! Along with the untrimmed Tri Tip. We have bought whole pigs and chicken also. If I am throwing a party they are my go to!! Give them a try Support your Locals. You won't be sorry!!

Only been in once but will again...got 2 1lb+ ribeyes. Quite possibly the best steaks I've ever had. In and out quickly with quality vaccum sealed product.
