From:Oklahoma City To:RenoShouldn't take 3 weeks to get my container. Because of their poor scheduling, I was not able to start my job on time. They had the destination when I placed my order. The container should have been no more than one week. To give me access to it. So they should have explained how long they were going to need when I placed my order. I will never use this company again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR CONTAINER AT A CERTAIN TIME. THEY WILL GIVE 5 DAYS OR LESS TO EMPTY. SO THEY CAN CHARGE YOU FOR AN ADDITIONAL MONTH. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I AM OUT 3 WEEKS OF PAY.

I was moving from Seattle to Nevada and full service movers wanted way to much. After some research I decided to use Pods for my move and I am very happy with the cost and the results. Nothing was lost or broken and my Pods arrived on time and picked up promptly. I would recommend Pods to anyone considering a long distance move.

Details - cross country move from MA to NV, 2 bedroom apt, 1 individual's things. All fit into a small pod. POD delivery/pick up team out of Taunton were great - fit the unit exactly into my designated spot w/o significant issue or concern. Miscommunication occurred with transit from MA - expected unit to start traveling to NV on pick up/day after but didn't leave until much later. This meant arriving in NV well before my things did - overall a mild to moderate inconvenience. No general updates while in transit so was a little bit of a mystery where things were for a week. Delivery date and date of ability to access the pod were also miscommunicated - arrival date of 8/1 where I could access it at the facility but when trying to change to delivery at apt then told earliest would be 8/3. Drop off team in NV had trouble getting the unit into the space I had picked - thankfully was able to get more space and the container was dropped off but more stressful than original POD drop-off. Pick-up unwitnessed but seemed unremarkable. In general miscommunications contributed to increased stress however moving cross country is always stressful. I would still be likely to use this service again in the future given that it relieved the stressors of having to find separate moving and storage options and kept me from having to drive a moving truck that distance. Recommend just making sure dates are VERY clear or that you personally have flexibility in your dates/can live w/o your things for short period of time. Do NOT recommend packing anything essential, especially for moves of distance.

Complete nightmare. It took 4 hours to get the container in place with the driver. I don't feel that the driver had a little if any experience with the equipment.There is no way he could have gotten this in the designated area without crashing into the house and me being there. The truck and pod drop machine were brand new and looked rad. But that was just eye candy. I really wanted to take over the controls myself. It was not the easiest drop spot but not difficult either.I planned on an hour maximum to get it in the spot.Ruined my day with the plans I had scheduled

This was the most organize move I’ve ever had because of PODS. having several days to both pack/load and unload made our experience great, and Robert the delivery pro was a pro. Highly recommend.

The overall experience was a success, but not without a glitch or two. I was double billed for the first charge, storage charges aren't prorated, and payment methods are somewhat limited, and, of course, it's expensive.

Let's just start with the difficulty in getting a quote. You fill out a web form but then... you have to CALL the company to get a quote. During the call, the agent tries to upsell as much as possible, to the point of getting irritated when I insisted he simply give me the quote.Don't even get me started on the cost. It is literally cheaper to ship via UPS freight, which is what I'd recommend.Love the owner reply, which is admitting to everything I've said and confirming they want to 'put together the best quote'... which is business speak for UPSELL.

Convenient way to pack, store and ship your belongings. Destination location required more lead time to access the POD than website stated, but customer service made it happen and got us in when we needed it. Would use again.

Trying to help my relative take delivery of the container with her stuff was a nightmare. No call and no show. Two customer service chats, two phone calls by me and 3 hours after the 3 hour window someone finally said teuck with it broke down in Reno and they can’t deliver it for at least 3 more days. Two people took off work to take delivery and stood around for 6 hours on a Saturday wasting our time. Had I not called and chatted repeatedly eating an hour of my time, we would still be standing here waiting. I will never use or recommend this service. Did I mention they charged almost $1400 to move it from Southern California to Northern California and “Juan” on the phone wanted to offer $25 for a good will gesture? PODS should be ashamed and out of business for failure to meet their delivery without notification. Oh, and I had already taken a day off work for the container pickup and they wanted to force me to take delivery on another date for the delivery. I don’t have any faith in a company who can’t make contact to advise there are issues when 3 customer service agents tell me it’s on the way today and in transit but will not look deeper in to the issue. The fourth finally took 3 minutes and said the truck broke down in Reno. That’s at least 3 hours from the delivery point so they had plenty of time to make a call that it wasn’t coming. PODS I challenge you to make good on your “service” and pay the claim that was filed due to the lost time and money on the part of our family. If I could leave 0 stars or negative stars I wouldn’t hesitate. Missed my daughters soccer match for nothing.
