I would not recommend Paramount Craftsman Services to anyone. My experience was extremely poor in the closing of a recent house sale's transaction where he was performing a bathtub renovation. After receiving the accepted contract, Spencer was virtually impossible to make contact with during the construction process requiring many calls and emails to finally respond. Ultimately, he ghosted both the seller's agent and myself after getting paid in full and never closed out the final punch list items leaving me with the final cleanup of his crew's mess and having to finish the remaining work with another contractor.Below is my response to your Google reply:Spencer,Your rather emotional reply is full of exaggerations, so let’s focus on the facts. Similar to your other negative google reviews, I too haven’t written a complaint in years so perhaps you should reflect on why people take time out of their busy lives to voice their frustrations with Paramount Craftsman Services. For the record you were not the lowest bidder, you were the only bidder. You received $21k to replace a shower tub enclosure that didn’t even include shower doors. Not sure what you are talking about with materials either because they only totaled less than $2,500 which leaves you a generous $18,500 in labor and profit for less than 4-5 days work. The tile was very inexpensive at $2.78 per square foot and as you mentioned, I did supply the shower faucet hardware at my exclusive expense. Thank you for getting the work done, but at $1400 per square foot you made a tidy profit. Let’s not be greedy please.Secondly, you passed yourself off as a general contractor, but apparently you only have a carpentry license (C-3) and Air Conditioning license (C-21). Perhaps the Nevada State Contractor Board would like to know why you are performing trades you are not licensed for. Your website advertises full bathroom and kitchen remodels which would require a B-2 license at a minimum. As for an inspection, what are you talking about? It was a loan appraiser who ultimately accepted your barely finished work. There was never an inspection because you never pulled a permit with the City of Reno as required by code.We inherited your bid from the previous buyer after that deal blew up. The seller’s agent had never worked with you before and was equally frustrated by your flakiness and nonresponsiveness. She was the client, I was the customer. Multiple and repeated emails, texts, and phone attempts to get you to close the job out went unanswered. Both of us were not happy with your experience and your delays almost blew our deal too.Lastly, you left a huge mess behind. The entire bathroom and bedroom was covered in a thick layer of dust from you mixing mortar and grout inside the house which we are still cleaning up. This should be a basic courtesy. As well, the outside of the house had tons of debris in the rocks left behind from where you cut several pieces of tile backerboard. This is simple. Be a good human. Take accountability. Don’t ghost people. Answer your emails, text, and phone calls. This is not a personal attack, this is about being a professional. That is all, hopefully your future clients/customers have a better experience than we did.

Total scam. Didn't complete job as invoiced. Skipped several items we were charged for.We are only realizing 2 years later when the temps are low that the heater needs the parts they decided not to install. . The heat pump is insufficient to heat the house and they will not respond to any correspondence.

Paramount Craftmanship Services did a phenomenal job on our bathroom and floor remodel projects! Spencer and Blake brought professionalism and great skill to the job at all times. Their work showed attention to detail and they worked very hard to make our vision a reality. The price for service was fair and all the projects were finished in a timely matter and with quality. We would recommend them to anyone seeking tile work, remodeling, and associated services.Services: Ceramic tile flooring installation

Spencer was amazing! I came up to Reno to help my elderly parents. We had a few projects we needed to get done while I was with them. He fit us in quickly, showed up on time, was very friendly, patient with my parents, and kind. His work was was done quicker than we expected as well. He installed a keyless entry on their front door and changed out two shower heads. My parents were both elated that he came out so quickly (within 24 hours)! They have his card on the fridge for all future needs. I am happy we found him and highly recommend his company!Service: Plumbing fixture installation

We called Spencer after we saw his ad on the next-door app and he responded very quickly. A young man named Cash came out and did the repairs. He was incredibly polite and very professional. Went above and beyond to help complete the project. I will absolutely use them again.Service: General repairs

They were the 2nd contractor to respond to my request for an estimate on repair of my water heater. I called to get an estimate and they were able to send a tech to my home within a few days but after the estimate was verbally provided, they basically ghosted me, lol! I tried calling to accept the bid and schedule a time and date to have the work begin but suddenly the office wasn't answering their phone or responding to a request for a call back. My last ditch attempt was to the tech who come out. That call was also unanswered and never returned.Turns out the tech's verbal estimate of $400 was way over. A different plumber quoted the replacement of the part for only $200.After initial meeting, everything about this company was unprofessional and untrustworthy. It's this kind of behavior that gives licensed contractors a bad name.

Excellent service! I received an estimate from Spencer on the SAME DAY that I called him to come look at some demolition work. And within that same week he got us on the schedule and performed the work himself in a professional and timely manner. He communicated well throughout the process and left the site very clean. I was looking to remove my old water heater and have a tankless installed. I called many places in town and couldn’t evening scheduled to get a guy out to my house to do an estimate for weeks. Naturally I kept calling places and to my luck I found paramount craftsman and I swear Spencer had answer my phone call on the first ring and was out at my house estimating the job the same day. After he came and estimated the job we talked price before he left and within the hour he had emailed me a bid to review. Super fair price and was very knowledgeable when it came to my question leaving me feeling like I was in good hands. So sure enough I gave the bid a green light and Spencer and one other worker knocked this job out the next day.! So happy with the customer service and I’m actually astounded by how quick these guys work for the amazing quality. Paramount has forever earned call and I highly recommend!Service: Boiler installation

I had Spencer come and give me bids on making sure my gas fireplaces worked, install a Moen Flo to my water line, hook up my gas BBQ to a natural gas outlet and install a tankless water heater. All went well except for the tankless water heater. He had to take out the furnace to take out the existing tank water heater. That upped his costs another $1500-1800. There were several more issues to settle but in the end we split the additional cost of $1500.Services: Boiler installation

Unfortunately, my experience with Paramount was not an enjoyable one. I don't normally write negative reviews but when I saw my bbq today, I was so frustrated that I thought that other people should know the quality of work that was done.We hired Paramount to do a few things that we needed done around the house. One of the items was to connect our bbq grill to a natural gas line on our back patio. They completed the job a while ago but I hadn't gotten around to looking at it until today. I went out to clean the grill so that we could use it for the first time this Spring. When I went outside, I saw that they had connected a hose to the outlet but just left it sitting there on the ground. It wasn't connected to the grill at all. I ended up going and getting two wrenches and connecting it myself. It only took about 10 min but it was frustrating because that is what I had paid them to do. they just left the job halfway undone without even telling me.Another item that we had them do was to replace our previous water heater with a tankless one. Their estimate wasn't the cheapest but we decided to go with them because they had good reviews and felt that it was worth the extra money to get quality service. When they came to do the work, they said that they hadn't realized that they needed to remove the furnace in order to get to the water heater. I am by no means a plumber but I knew that the furnace had to be removed just by looking at it, since it was in front of the water heater itself. There was no way that they couldn't have known that, since they came and saw the unit before giving us the estimate. Also, we had a couple of other companies come out to give us estimates and both of them listed removing the furnace as part of their written estimate. He said that it would cost another $1,500 in addition to the quoted price to remove the furnace. This is a common strategy used to increase the price of a service since the service man is already there to do the work and the customer is likely to agree, since they just want to get the work done. I ended up agreeing for that very reason. In hindsight, that was an error on my part.At the complete of the installation, I asked them if they had gotten a permit from the city and if the job was done up to code. I mentioned that I thought that the tubes had to be insulated so that they wouldn't burst. He said that he didn't think that they had to be insulated but he would do it just in case. If he had known that they didn't need to be insulated according to code, he would have explained that there was no need to insulate them and leave it at that. He also told me that he had taken out a permit and that the city would be visiting us soon for an inspection. I still haven't heard from the city.Like I said, I truly don't make a habit of writing bad reviews for companies but after seeing that my bbq wasn't even hooked up today, it was the last straw. I'm hoping that others don't have this same kind of experience that I did and hopefully Paramount will learn sooner or later that by short-changing the customer, it only hurts them in the long run.
