I graduated here in 2019 which was an early graduation for me as I was supposed to graduate in 2020. I loved all my teachers, always helpful and communicated amazingly. My teachers noticed I was doing well and told me to talk to my counselor at the school to see if I should graduate early and I did. The staff love their students and will do everything to help your child along.

If you value your child or their learning even in the smallest amount DO NOT PUT THEM INTO THIS “SCHOOL”. There are so many problems I’m not even sure where to start. Communication from the school to you or vice versa is damn near impossible and nonexistent. The only time they will reach out to you is to tell you about returning the textbooks you will never use. The list of electives that a high school student can choose are absolutely terrible. Teachers are worthless, unhelpful, and can barely manage to teach your child anything. Learning through the lessons that are provided is difficult and is guaranteed to have your child struggle through whatever they are attempting to do. Counselors are even worse at their jobs, and will only ever email you about the worthless events the school is having. (Or to beg you to participate in the school board meetings so they can keep their pathetic attempt at a “school” open) Social interaction between other students is nonexistent, besides discussion assessments which only consist of students copying and pasting the same generic “I agree” answers. The school/counselors neglect to advise high school students or inform them on college and scholarships, because that would take effort which they clearly do not wish to put in. Any question you have will only be answered if you google it. Unless you would like to wait weeks to receive an answer (or any answer at all). I imagine any student who enjoys this school is cheating through it as I’d say most if not all the students already are. (Vast majority of quizzes and tests answers are online so I can guarantee your child will learn nothing from “attending” this “school”) The only benefit this school provided me after I wasted 4 years of my life was to preach about how horrendous it is. I hope that this review saves at least one student from attending this school.

I currently am enrolled in this school and I love it! I struggled a lot at brick and mortar schools and wasn’t going to be able to graduate when I decided to go online NCA helped me get back on track! It is my third and final year at NCA and I’m sad to go but happy I will be leaving high school. I 100% would recommend this school to any teen who wants to be an online student. The staff is super sweet and genuinely there for you!

Enrolled my ADHD son, begged for help, for the most part these people are idiots. They won't help or explain anything. And the program itself is awful. My son was an A/B student with other on line courses. Now it's all F's. They keep saying. "If you want help let us know.." ummmmmmmmm....I literally have about 20 times. Had to find a different school. DO NOT RECOMMEND this on line school.

This school has been a lifesaver for my oldest. We attempted to do Edgenuity with WCSD...beware of it, it is horrible! With Nevada Connections Academy the teachers frequently email your child, communication is clear, and they don't just throw videos at your kid and say "learn" Thank you Nevada Connections!

I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. Some of the staff lie and give you the run around they play a lot of games. They are all about the getting funding. I feel they don't help the children like they should. They don't return calls.I would give NV Connection Academy F rating.Stay away.

Absolute worst school i've ever gone to. Its way to stressful and the teachers dont help (some do but most dont). If you ask for help they tell you to watch the live lesson but you still wont get it (from my expirience).

My daughter has had such a positive experience Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Her school work continues to challenge her and she has been able to keep up with her schedule with no problems. When ever something is hard all she has to do is go back to her lessons and reread or watch the videos again. I’ve always found a way to work with her and explain things in a way that makes sense to her. I don’t understand how people can say the work is too hard or they can’t keep up. It’s challenging for a reason!! If the work is too easy then your child is not learning!! All the teachers we’ve come in contact with have all been amazing and helpful. We were really looking forward to enrolling my little one into kindergarten next year and having 2 students with NCA. We’re beyond sad to learn the elementary grades are closing next year leaving my family and so many others at a loss. I honestly think something is wrong with the way schools are rated. The fact that anyone can come on here and write a negative review or even worse when a negative review on here is coming from a student and not a parent it just doesn’t seem right to me.

This school has been such a blessing for my kid!! She left public school after 1st semester of 6th grade and attended NCA for 2nd semester. Everyone made the transition as easy as possible. She never had a problem with grades, not why we switched, and her grades never suffered. She had such a better experience with the teachers and their communication with her. They really boosted her moral and confidence. It’s a shame the charter authority is not renewing their contract..... not sure what we’re going to do but this school really was a life saver for us!

This school is by far better than North Star Online. They use the same Pearson K-12 lessons but the teacher are more communicative. They have a few more required course than North Star. It seems more like the state is trying to push them out as a charter school. I do not see how the state wants to criticize them when they are leaps and bounds better than the WCSD option.

Perfect fit for my daughter. She is doing so much better in this school than she ever was in k12. Special thanks to all the teachers and staff for such an amazing year. My daughter and I can't thank you enough for all the support. See you at graduation!!!!!!!!

This is the best school. Having had a bad public school experience,we tried NCA for 7th and 8th grade. My daughter is a whole different person,in the best way. She loves learning, and all her teachers are the best ever! She'll never go back to a brick and mortar school again(until college )!
