If I could give half a star I would. I came in 2 weeks ago to get a check engine light test, when I approached the first employee she tried to act like they didn’t do obd scans or have one available for them to come perform the test. Had another employee not gotten off phone with a customer before I left, I would not have gotten to do a scan. As I was walking out he asked what it was I was looking for, the female employee stated an obd scan, but “wasn’t sure if they did those” and the male employee pointed out the obd scanner right behind the counter, specifically for customer use. I came in today 30-40 minutes before closing hoping to get another quick scan and when I walked in the same female employee was there along with a male employee. I asked if I could get a quick scan, the female employee was about to go get the scanner until the male employee simply cut her off and said “no,” with no explanation as to why I couldn’t use it. Didn’t even give me a second look. Last time I interacted with this male employee he assumed I was looking to steal some spark plugs, even though I was looking for engine oil at the time and was there to pick up an already placed order. Seeing as these two interactions were my only ones with this employee, it is very obvious how he views african americans. I understand there may have been incidents in the past but that is no need to project your assumptions onto others without attempting to know their intentions. It is unacceptable to be denied a free service, that I’ve had access to before, with no explanation behind it. If it was a matter of them closing in a few minutes or something of that sort I would have simply accepted a, “We’re not doing tests right now, but you can come back tomorrow,” but no, I was simply told no, with no explanation, and was immediately dismissed.

These guys ripped me off by selling me an overpriced fuel filter and even had the audacity to tell me that they were giving me a discount. It never sat right with me, and after doing my homework I found out that I could have got a similar fuel filter at O'Reilly for nearly half the price. I understand that it may be a lower grade filter, but these guys at NAPA never gave me the option to choose something else. in a time where money is tight, this is very important to me. Unfortunately for me, I lost track of the receipt so now I don't have the option of returning the overpriced fuel filter. The experience left me feeling taken advantage of so I will not be bringing any business back here. O'Reilly always provides me with multiple options and great customer service.
