The Mt. Rose Wine Co. in south Reno is a gem! Live music Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and coupled with wines by the glass, classic cocktails, and an outdoor patio, the vibe and service makes this place a perfect spot for a nightcap.

If you are unable to give a tasting without charging for a full glass, please say something when asked. We had ordered 3 cocktails, 1 glass of wine and a mocktail. I asked to taste a Chardonnay on their wine by the glass menu. I received just that, a tasting, 2 or 3 sips, but when the bill came I was charged for a full glass. It would have taken nothing to just say I can’t give you a tasting without charging for a full glass. If I had been told that I would have simple passed and gone back another time. As it stands, I don’t know that I will go back.

I was kind of wandering after watching a Sunday afternoon movie. Heard the live music and then was greeted by very friendly folks at Mt Rose Wine. They gave me delicious complimentary nut assortment. Great atmosphere and quality wines.

Went in after ordering ice cream for my child next door to pick up a case of wine as gifts for my staff. I explained as I walked in that I was just quickly browsing and they had no customers at 3:40 pm a Saturday. Then I was approached by who appeared to be either an owner or manager, insisting that ice cream would be a better choice for my afternoon. Immediately it became a parent that I was not welcome there and I left quickly afterwards not buying anything and it said going to Vino 100 where I am welcome.

What a great place to enjoy some wine! I'm not really a wine drinker, but the recommendation made was perfect! Wonderful atmosphere and the staff and very helpful and friendly. Don't miss this place!

We were fortunate enough to discover Mt. Rose Wine Co. when they opened in November 2023 and visit often. I know next to nothing about wine, but it's always a wonderful, friendly, fun space to spend an hour or two. We've met many, many nice people there, many of whom are repeat customers like us, which is a testament to the owners' hospitality and their desire to create such a space. 10/5 stars and highly recommended if you're in the vicinity of the Summit Mall.

Such a great spot! The wine selection is top-notch—plenty of variety without being overwhelming. What really stood out, though, was how hospitable the owners were. They made us feel super welcome from the moment we walked in, took the time to chat with us about different wines, and gave some great recommendations. It felt more like hanging out at a friend’s place than just visiting a bar. Cozy atmosphere, good vibes, and amazing wine. Can’t wait to come back!

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you, my wife and I have come to Mt Rose Wine Co shortly after it opened and continue to come back. We have made so many memories, from tasting events to a quite date night. The owners are some of the kindest and welcoming people we have met. They take the time to share their knowledge of wine if you’re interested in trying something new or if you want something similar to what you have had. They put their hearts into their work and we won’t be going anywhere. If you’re reading this review I think it’s time for you to head on in. It’s worth the memories!

My family and I have been huge fans of Mt. Rose Wine Co. since their opening in November 2023. Each time we walk into this amazing wine shop, Lacie and Doug are warm, welcoming and ready to host us with a smile. Mt. Rose Wine Co. offers a cozy and inviting ambience. Lacie and Doug’s love and passion for wine shines through in every detail. We’ve attended a couple of the fun wine tasting events Mt. Rose Wine Co. has to offer and really enjoyed learning about the different wines as well as a lot of wine exploration. This wine shop is my favorite place to go and unwind with either a glass or a great bottle of wine. I know when I walk in, Lacie and Doug will make sure we are comfortable and taken care of. I also love that Mt. Rose Wine Co. has a variety of different wines from different regions as well as varying price points. We are so happy to have Mt. Rose Wine Co. so close to home. Truly a wine shop rooted in Community.

My new favorite place to drink wine in Reno (Craft in midtown is 2nd). The owners are phenomenal. They know their wine and have a great selection to taste and to buy (all at reasonable prices). I love that they have wines I know and love as well as stuff I've never tried. Also they have tasting events where you can learn about a winery or type of wine. I love these kinds of events as they create community. The space is also super cute inside and they have outside tables. Perfect spot to take a break from shopping at the summit or after a day of skiing or just because it's fun to drink wine!

Met the owners today as I passed by after work, and I was not disappointed! It was so nice to explore wines from different regions of the world that I may have not ventured into before and learned about them. I truly appreciated the personalized assistance while picking out a bottle along with even a complimentary tasting in helping me finalize my decision before purchasing. I will definitely be back for more tastings and purchases.??
