These folks are rockstars. I broke down not once but twice within two weeks near Reno, with different issues. Limped it to LT both times...they had my truck up on the lift, diagnosed, repaired, and back on the road in record time. Plus they are all just incredibly nice people...they made a not-so-great situation a lot more bearable. Many thanks to the whole team!!

Based on my history as follows with LT Automotive, I will not return:
1st experience - Based on a friend's recommendation, I took my old work truck in for a brake repair, anticipating $800 cost but ended up getting other repairs they suggested were needed which ended up being $2500 total. Fair enough as they were all done with my approval.
2nd experience - Shortly thereafter I received a $44 courtesy check as an incentive to apply next visit to any service so I took my personal truck in for an oil change. They do the work and Jasmin rings me up and tells me she can't apply the coupon to the $146 charge even though it specifically states good on oil change. After some argument, she reluctantly accepted it.
3rd experience - 8 months later, just in time for the next oil change, I receive a second courtesy check in the mail for $44 so I hesitantly take my personal truck in again, thinking the first experience was probably a fluke. This time I sign the quote for $157 fort an oil change, but when I pick it up the charge is $227!! After questioning the overcharge, the cashier tells me there was added expense due to the certain oil needed and asked if I had a coupon which happened to get my charge relatively close to the prior service. I told my friend that originally recommended LT, and he too had a similar experience with LT Automotive with the incentive they sent him to be used on service.
BOTTOM LINE: Although I have no reason to question the quality of work LT Automotive does, they seem to LACK INTEGRITY IN THEIR BILLING PRACTICES and after my last two experiences with them, I wonder if the extra work they recommended on my old truck was even necessary. I find it amazing that a company offers an incentive to encourage your patronage, and they manage to turn it into a super negative which ultimately deters it.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND LT AUTOMOTIVE AND WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR AUTO REPAIRS AND SERVICE.
Update: I recently had my oil changed at my new service provider and was charged $160, further validating my suspicion that LT simply inflated the charge to cover the cost of their promotional offer.

Would highly recommend Dave and the shop. Dave stopped on his way home from work Friday while I was parked near the top of the grade going to Virginia City with a vapor lock and overheated engine waiting for a tow. He gave me his shop address and cell number in case I was towed. After a 3 hour wait for the tow the engine had cooled and when the tow came I was able to start the engine. Tuesday I put the car in LT shop to replace the fuel pump and insulate the fuel line. Car was a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 352CI engine.

Worse most expensive shop in Reno. Can never fix the problem the first time. Can't even open front desk on time. Customers forced to sit on street waiting after shop appears open on many occasions. Mechanics are forced into up selling for work that is not required.

Lady at the front desk was fantastic, super nice. My question is, why are yall too dang lazy to call the provider of an interlock device and have them shut it down for the service. I waited a whole week for my appointment and was told no because their policies made a sudden change. do not go here if you have a breathalyzer in your car, they dont service cars with interlock devices according to the GM that changes rules on the fly. EDIT: since yall dont understand, the company requires the caller to be a reputable maintenance/repair shop. They will not give me a shut off code because I need a repair shop specific code. Which yall didnt even make an effort to listen to when I was advising you on the matter. So again, why the spur the moment rule change?? stop trying to cover how bad your customer service is, and dont act like your apology matters, I gave yall time enough of a heads up and yall said you could do it but when I got there you changed your rules because you cant work on an interlock device that's been in circulation for already many years. It sucks for yall because I was expecting to spend a couple thousand, but it's a damn shame yall suck and cant do the job you say you can do

A radiator hose blew while I was in Reno for business. LT Automotive was my choice since I had been hearing their ads on KKFT 99.1 FM Talk. The tow company they recommended was early - that was awesome since it was over 100 that day - and when I walked in to their office, I was greeted was amazingly friendly customer service with smiles. They considered I was from out of town and got me on the road the next day. Thanks, LT Automotive! (ps The all points check report they do is great if you want to know what to get done to keep your vehicle from breaking down in the middle of the street!)

This place is great. When I took my car in to have it diagnosed there was an elderly gentleman that I had a conversation with. He said he had been coming to this place for 20 years. Word of mouth is everything and they did not disappoint. The did a great job and my car is running like new. I also liked that they gave me a ride home when I dropped off my car and came and got me to pick it up when they were done. I highly recommend LT Automotive.

They don’t install aftermarket exhausts wasted my time with this place when i was told over the phone they install full exhaust systems.
The 3 people up front just sat there and talked the whole time I was at the shop 2 ladies one man. Seemed slightly unprofessional.
quoted 900 to install a cat back on a 2015 vehicle. Laughed when I said that’s a scam and it’s an hour job and I have quotes from other shops at $300, Just wanted to see if LT was gonna work out but unfortunately they did not. I’m sure there a fine shop but not for the aftermarket world.
Other shops quote 300 one hour job plus supplies.

Couldn’t avoid a large rock on the road & it damaged my catalytic converter (very expensive component). I got an estimate from my usual servicer who had serviced me well for many years, however their quote gave me sticker shock, so I checked with LT Automotive. LT saved me many hundreds of dollars and They promptly repaired my SUV the next day with genuine Honda replacement parts. It was a Fantastic repair experience in every way. I’m a VERY satisfied customer.

Blew a plug from the head of our 31’ RV in route to Denver on the weekend.
LT had us on a lift before noon Monday and on our way the next morning. (motel ride both ways w/2 pets included )
Denver and home again thanks to LT. Couldn’t ask for better service or friendlier people.
