They don't answer the phone and aren't open when sign says they are. Found a great jeweler up the street instead. Seems the bad reviews might be legit:/

Had them repair a Seiko (automatic) Diving watch, not only did it take forever but it was returned with the wrong back plate and the crown didnt screw down any more, when I asked about the crown I was told it was like that,(which it wasnt) I didnt catch the back plate until months later. I sent the watch to Seiko USA in New Jersy and was told whoever did the work on it damaged the watch beyond repair. I wont take another watch to these people! I do not recommend them!

I am here to join the ranks of folks who have had the worst customer service experience at Harland Watch. These people are frauds and they have no desire to help customers. Shame on them for the way they take advantage of their customers and waste peoples time. More than 8 months ago (July of 2023), I took my beloved vintage Cartier watch to Harland Watch to get a link added in - it was a bit too small. More than 6 weeks later (red flag #1), my watch was returned to me having been wildly mishandled and the bracelet was broken apart at a joint nowhere near the removable links of a watch bracelet are located. Any decent watchmaker would know there are areas of a watch bracelet meant to be taken apart for resizing, and there are areas of a watch bracelet that are never meant to be broken, tinkered with, or taken apart. Why they messed with those permanent links is beyond me. They had repaired this gross damage by quite literally gluing it back together with superglue (red flag #2). This meant that my watch bracelet (which was in pristine condition before I took it to Harland watch) was now fused at one joint so it no longer articulated properly and it had an ugly glob of glue all over the bracelet. Appalled, I asked them politely to please fix it - that that is not the condition I brought my watch in to them, and I expected them to make it right. They took it back and said they would send it back to their "watchmaker" to repair it. Why they have to mail it off somewhere when they themselves are a watch repair shop is beyond me - this should have been another red flag. Many weeks of calling and emailing (most of the time they didn't answer the phone, or my emails), my watch was returned to me - AGAIN it was glued together. I pointed out that that is not the solution I expected and I asked them AGAIN to make it right and restore it to the condition it was in when I brought it to them. For the third time, they took my watch and sent it off to some unknown "watchmaker". 8 weeks later, it came back quite literally WELDED together at the joint they had broken and glued twice before. I was horrified. They had ruined my watch that was in formerly perfect condition with a hideous weld line and a fused bracelet joint. At this point, I was so disgusted with their service, I asked them many many time to speak to their manager so I could escalate the issue and make it right. They refused to refer me to a manager. I took my watch back and took it to two other watchmakers in Reno to get second opinions on any repair options out there. It was November at this point, 5 months after I initially took my watch in to get a link added back in. Both other watchmakers advised that there was nothing they could do to restore it to its original condition, and that Harland watch should have offered to pay to replace the band and work with me. I went back to Harland watch begrudgingly and asked them firmly to pay for a replacement bracelet and explained why I felt they should take responsibility for the damages. They softly agreed at this point to getting a replacement bracelet repair estimate, but they were not going to help me get it. So, I contacted Cartier to see if they had any replacement bracelets stocked for me watch, and to get an estimate for a repair, and I drove to San Francisco so they could see the watch and put together an estimate. As instructed, I then took the estimate from Cartier and emailed it to Harland Watch. At this point, I have emailed and called them over and over again asking for updates on the status of my claim of the repair estimate since the end of December. In two months since I sent them the estimate from Cartier, I have called them 3 times per week and emailed them twice per week asking for an update. I have left voicemails because they don't answer the phone, and I've spoken to an employee on the phone maybe two times in the two months I've been trying to reach them. finally, I was able to reach someone (2 months later), and the verdict? They refuse to pay for a new bracelet af

Beware of scams. Do not purchase new watches. They have no inventory for a reason. I have reported them.

Went in with my husband to look for a watch for myself. Figured I would need to order one but they ended up having the perfect watch for me at a great price. Steven and Brandon were so nice and helpful. I love my new watch! Next time I'm looking for a nice watch, this will be my stop.

Unfortunately they’re having an inventory issue with some of the higher end brands but hopefully that’ll get worked out. I’ve bought several watches here (IWC, Omega, Hamilton, Tissot, Longines and some used stuff.) and they’ve always provided as good or better prices than online. I’ve also sold to them at reasonable prices. They don’t rip you off, they take care of their customers the best they can. Ben, the owner, loves the watch hobby and knows his stuff. He has accounts with many brands that he does not keep in display, so ask about brands you don’t see. He can also source the used market. They’re your best bet in town, unless Rolex decides they actually want to sell you something. What can you do…

Very dissatisfied with there attitude and customer service. I dropped off a Bell and Ross watch to replace a crown and stem. After about 5 weeks was told watch was back and repaired. So, I picked up the watch, paid $150, and walked out. Got home and noticed the watch was making a clanking noise in the case. Brought it back same day and when I asked if they checked the watches after being repaired I was told they only checked that it could be wound and was keeping time. It's an automatic watch and was obvious when held and shaken slightly there was a banging noise with something loose in the case. One of workers said listen to mine it bangs when it self winds. I said well that mine did not before I dropped it off. The watch repair person said he didn't like my tone and he would give back the $150 and I could just send it back to Bell and Ross and wait 8 months for repairs and cost $800. Really? I turned around deciding if I wanted to leave my watch with them again and was told "you have one min to get out of the store". They were unprofessional, aggressive, condescending, very rude, and took zero responsibility. They didn't even apologize for the state of the watch. I will never ever go back there. I could have been a good loyal customer with many watches to have serviced or even buy from them. Who treats a customer like this? And never received my $150 back...should have known when I had to ask for a receipt!!

I took my pearl faced Bulova watch in to get a new back put on. I recognize it is not a Cartier, however for this working single mom, $2200 is a lot to spend on a watch. The owner said, kid you not, "We don't usually work on cheap watches like this". He went on to tell me, he didn't have a back for it and would have to send it out. I agreed and left my watch with him. After 2 months went by and I still hadn't heard from them, I tried calling a couple times but no one ever answered. I went into the store to check on the status. Although I was there during the posted business hours, no one was there and the door was locked.A few weeks later i Was finally able to talk with someone in the store. I verified they had my correct phone number and was told they still haven't been able to find a back for the watch. Another 2 months went by and I checked in again. This time another gentleman told me he couldn't find any record of my watch being dropped off with them. He told me to come back when the owner was there the next day. I told would continue to go in every 2 weeks for months. I never received a single call from anyone. Long story of frustrations & very rude service . After 6 months I finally got my watch back with a used, scratched back on it. I was charged for a new back. When I asked if used backs were less than new ones , I was again told, "We could only get used ones. People don't pay to get new backs on cheaper watches"! It had a dead battery and I was told they could instal a new one in a week or 2 for $30! (Batteries Plus does this for $5 on the spot). At this point I just took my watch that miraculously reappeared after being "out" for 6 months and quickly left, never to look back. STAY AWAY if you prefer polite customer service and do not want a run around for months.

The man that helped me re size my watch was extremely rude and continuously criticized my watch even after telling him it was a gift. While the work was done well and quickly, I will not be returning.

I purchased a $3,300.00 watch from Harland Watch and Diamond. I brought it back twice as it was running slow. It is an auto wind watch. It stopped one day at 6am and Omega specs indicate it is supposed to run 30-40 hours if it is not worn. While asking an employee about it the abusive owner came over and said there was nothing wrong with the watch and, yelling abusively, asked me to leave the store and escorted me to the door saying I should never come back and he would not honor the written warrantee that still has one year before expiration date. This owner is the most abusive merchant I have ever met. I gave him 1 star as there was no option to give 0 stars.

Over the course of the past few months I have been coming to these guys for all my watch needs. They originally helped with a watch that needed service and they were informative and greatly understanding of my lack of knowledge. They also became my go to for buying watches. I have bought 2 and love them both. On the sales side never once did I feel pressured as well they would chat and help me choose my next watch. I have become greatly immersed in watch collecting and I will always go to them.

Edit 11/30 - watch I bought there died the second day I had it. Brand new. They’ve been responsive but won’t take it back without a crazy restocking fee. So, have to get it repaired under warranty. A little disappointed.Original -Excellent watch store. I was looking for a place in Reno like this. Steven, our salesperson, made us a great deal and was very knowledgeable. Only negative was the uncertain background with one watch I was originally set on, even though it was a good price. Found another I liked just as much so it worked out. Will be back for sure.

So happy to find this watch store. I was referred here by a Jeweler who did not have a big supply of watch bands. My husband decided he must have a new watch band so the hunt was on.Not the easy purchase it used to be, plus, sometimes some places will not install the new band for you if they den your watch expensive. This store is closed on Mondays, I was there yesterday Monday but happily returned today. Small store but has a classy decor and pleasant staff. If you are in there, do notice their hanging light fixture, quite unique and fabulous. I went in without my phone! Checking in on Yelp before we left, they do offer a discount if you Yelp! My husband replaced his worn out brown leather band with a black leather band. He actually had a choice of three bands. I recommend this store and will certainly come back for other watch issues.

Not impressed. When I dropped my watch off, I asked for it to be cleaned and the battery replaced. When I picked it up, it had not been cleaned and the time had not been set after the battery replacement. When I asked if they could set the time, they told me to google it and do it myself. On top of that, they charged $20 to replace the battery.
