We have bought/sold several properties in the last 30+ years and our experience with Jeremiah Eck at the Kietzke location was by far the best. He was efficient, personable, and really knows his stuff. Guild Mortgage is lucky to have him; he represents the company well. The loan officer and loan process to funding was fantastic. I keep recommending my loan officer to anyone looking for a home purchase or even refinance. Guild is very good in this department.After that, it all falls apart from continued servicing to customer service - for all the positive on the loan process, it is erased immediately.First, loan servicIng still sits in the antiquated era of pdf's and paper, as in those are the only 2 formats available. On the website, there is no history, transaction information, no escrow information - beyond a summary page. It is completely ridiculous that this information is unavailable, except through direct request or combing through every single monthly statement. I am not sure that the statement of the CEO on the main web page is accurate - servicing the life of the loan. When all access to information stops, the servicing essentially stops.Second, customer service. On a good day, you get someone who is willing to help but mostly the entirety of the the group is ill informed, impatient and unwilling to offer any sort of resolution beyond, "suck it up buttercup". Ask detailed questions, answers are presented directly from an FAQ. Need further explanation, sorry, not today. Ask for assistance with any facet other than a direct sale of services, good luck. I am not entirely sure if it is the antiquated processes that drive customer service or exceeding pressure to get people off the phones with as little help as possible creating undue stress on the customer service reps. Either way, my 11 year old provides more assurance and help than this lot.Last, proceed with caution. In addition to limiting functional servicing of the loan on the web or with customer service, Guild will sell all your information to 3rd party vendors - from additional refi's to independent insurance agents. Again, they are very streamlined in the sales process - as mentioned about the fantastic loan officer - but they fall completely short on the business as usual servicing of the loan.

Seamus Murphy's team did an amazing job helping me to get a great loan. From the start to the end of the process everyone involved was quick to respond when I had questions. Amazing! Amanda Rea and her team are superb! They make everything easy and really look out for everyone's best interest as well as great you like family. I did a refinance and got the price and rates I wanted. Little did I know they were working hard to get me even better rates and lower my mortgage without me even knowing.
