The Healthiest Little Store/Cafe in the Biggest Little City in the World. My daughter and I stumbled upon this gem while visiting Reno for the weekend. Their upstairs Foodshed Cafe served us a delightful lunch with such warm & welcoming service in a very clean and vibrant space. Highly recommended ?

Parking is a disaster here if you can even find a spot within 2 blocks of the place.

Lots of specialty items. Not really a store you can do regular shopping. Expensive

Love this store I can get all healthy foods I want, and support the local farmers, in turn the local economy. The food shed cafe is excellent, and the staff is very helpful.

Fantastic little store downtown. Well stocked with local and products, including meats and produce. National and regional brands are also kept. Lots of great Organic options. They have bulk sections for spices, coffee, lotuons/soaps/shampoos, etc. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. If there's a product you'd like they have a program with which you van order items as long as it can be obtained by their supplier.

What a great Co-Op! The prices are reasonable and some items are cheaper than Raley's. I love the vibe and all the products. Everyone is so friendly. I'm happy to spend my money here. Support local!!!

What a wonderful Co-Op for groceries/premade food items and amazing produce. They also have hot soup available. I was tempted to try out the Kombucha but didn't have time to ask about it before buying. The store is clean and well organized. In addition, they have prepared and frozen bakery items from Perenn. The warm and friendly service sealed the deal and I will be a frequent shopper at Great Basin.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here on a Friday night around 9pm. There was not that many people at the time and that should have been our first clue. Let me start off on a good note, the service was great. Our server was very nice and very thoughtful. There was nothing wrong with the service the whole time we were there, the food was another story. As an appetizer we had the pretzel. Besides it looking like a thick turd, it actually was not that bad. Butter garlic and nice flaky salt. The cheese dip it came with was not horrible but I would not want it again. Our main dishes were the worst. I got the 5 piece fish and chips with onion rings instead of fries. My boyfriend got the reuben sandwich with fries. The only good thing about the fish and chips was the subpar coleslaw. The fish looked crispy until you picked it up and felt how greasy the batter truly was. Yes I know it is deep fried so there is going to be grease but it should not be wet to the touch from it. The onions rings were okay but after 2 you really do not want to keep eating them. The sandwich was by far the worst. It came out with toasted but super soggy bread. It did not slowly get soggy as he ate it, the sandwich came out soggy. Also sauerkraut was literally pushed into the bread like someone took the slice of bread, a spoonful of sauerkraut and used their palms to smoosh it the bread. A sad, smashed sandwich. There might have been 2 maybe 3 slices of meat and the presentation left much to be desired. Honestly the whole sandwich was sloppily made and the it was just nasty. Both our meals made us feel sick and we definitely did not order dessert. Our grand total was $54, which we expected to be paying, especially in this economy, but we wanted to spend it on good food. We did not even bother trying to get our meal comped, but we should have, I felt bad that we payed the outrageous bill and did not tip our server more. Anyway, we gave the place a shot and they blew it. We will not be eating here again and I do not recommend spending your money here.
