Very nice place to stay. The recently remodeled rooms are very, very nice! All staff is very attentive. The sports bar has the best old fashioned cocktail and uses Luxardo cherries, not run of the mill maraschino cherries.

This place is great if you like games. They have a whole floor full of them, with lots of good prizes. They close at 1130p. The downstairs casino is alright. It was smaller than I thought it would be. I didn't even know they had a casino upstairs until I was about to leave. They have lots of food choices in the food court and all over the casino. The parking structure kinda sucks. No clear signs to the exits to the stairs. The elevators where a hassle, buttons didn't work, had to use the stairs. This place it great if you have kids or you like playing games and winning prizes. Wish I would have went to the other casinos, so I could compare it to this one.

The property is super nice. After a small issue with my room at checkin, Naqesh at the front desk went above and beyond to help fix the issue. Excellent service.

The grand buffet breakfast was good, my family enjoyed it. I was lucky enough to pay for our visit on the slots. I even had left over money. Thank you for the wonderful service!

Beautiful hotel, clean updated rooms, awesome pool, great staff - we loved this place!!!
The staff at the fun quest area were SO helpful and patient with every single kid in those long lines to cash in your tickets. I was very impressed!!
We will definitely stay here if we find ourselves in Reno again!
Rooms: Clean and beautiful rooms!! We had connecting rooms which was so nice traveling with our kids.
Safety: I felt very safe staying here with my family
Food & drinks: We ate at Johnny rockets, The staff was very accommodating allowing us to look at the ingredients on the boxes for food allergies. The food was a little expensive for a family of five. But the service was well worth it!
Noteworthy details: This hotel is a gem! The rooms were exceptionally clean, the bathroom was newly remodeled. Everything that we wanted to do was in the hotel and easy to walk to.

A bunch of us stayed at GSR for a celebration of life event that took place in town. It was not a great experience. The lady who checked us in was very nice but Housekeeping here is HORRIBLE! A bunch of family's rooms were disgusting. Dirty bedding/sheets, stuff left in the fridge, crumbs all over the floor, hair EVERYWHERE! All over the bathroom, in the shower, wads on the floor, IN THE BED under the sheets! We found a top of a Deodorant that maybe broke off along with chips & crumbs under the dresser. Out of sight out of mind I guess? Then when people requested their rooms to be cleaned AFTER they checked in and found this, they still came in and did the bare minimum after waiting hours for them to come at all. Then our 2nd night staying there the main elevators for the Vista tower was not working. Seemed like only 1 elevator was barely working for tons of guest going up to their rooms around 10pm. Had to be taken up by the service elevators as did a lot of other guests. Sunday morning (the next morning) same thing, only P5 seemed to be working. The elevator lobby on floor 19 you can tell nobody cleaned at all. There were these maybe condiment packets that were there right in front of the elevators all weekend long with dried spilled stuff all over. The casino itself is cool but Housekeeping is horrible.
Rooms: Housekeeping does not do their job very well. After checking in, a lot of our family went to their rooms to find their rooms dirty! Crumbs, on floors, hair all over in the bathroom, showers, in the beds!! Stuff left in refrigerator. When they were notified they took forever to come at night then did the absolute bare minimum!

I just visited this Hotel, originally we were in the Sierra Tower apparently whoever cleaned this room did not do a very good job cleaning it. We found a red Solo cup full of soda in the refrigerator, I also found a piece of bone in the room . The rest of the room looks really nice.. at night time we realize that the AC was not working, and it was over 100° every day that we were there. Around 2:00 a.m. the room next to us there was a child who cried from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. in the morning I went to the front desk and told him that the AC was not working in my room either fix it or switch me to another room. I also told them of the other things. And I did complain about the walls being so things, that I heard a child that cried for over 4 hours. They were pretty good and understanding. They said yes we know the walls are very thin and you hear everything so they switched us to another Tower. The tower was quiet the walls were better and of course the AC was working. Thank you so much. I wished that the night club was open.

We have stayed at GSR many times and each time the experience gets worse and worse. Our first experience was fantastic, but over the past 7 months, it has steadily declined.
Last night, it took forever to check (hire more reception staff), the elevators had lines into the hallway just to get to the rooms, and our room…..ugh.
We upgraded to a King Deluxe. When we got into our room we noticed that the a/c wasn’t working properly. Called down and was assured that someone would run up and fix it. OK cool, we had reservations, so we left. Get back a couple hours later and the room is still hot. Called down again, “oh he is on his way”. We leave for dinner. Come back (a little tipsy) and there is a very loud box fan in the room.
We get into pj’s and settle in, thinking the fan was to help cool the room down while the a/c kicked in. Nope! The a/c was never fixed. They just stuck a very loud VERY undersized box fan in our suite and called it good. We soon realized that the room STILL wasn’t cooling off. Called down again. Initially told “hotel is sold out sorry”, so we asked for a discount on the room, put on eternal hold to eventually be told “no discount, but we can move you to a lesser room 6 floors away” while we paid for an upgraded room, we’re already in pj’s, and had ordered a movie.
Also, 2 lights in the room didn’t work, another lamp was leaning weirdly, and the tv was crooked on the wall. Just not worth what we spent.
We won’t be staying here again. Will try the Atlantis or Peppermill next.
p.s. The buffet at GSR is TERRIBLE. Seriously not just bad, but kinda gross too. If you want a good buffet go to the Atlantis.

Uniquely on this trip we had to deal with front desk and security several times. They took a while to get in touch with and the front desk, security and their text service were a bit disconnected from each other. But security was great once put in action.
Rooms: Problems getting in the room after checking in. Front desk told us to text and wait by the room, no response during the day for over 30 minutes. Security blamed it on the cleaning staff not informing, engineering said this hasn't been tended to in over 3 years.
Parts of the window are loose and slightly concerning, the lamp is partially broken.
Honestly not a big deal, but doesn't give you that "I'm in a nice place vibe" although it really could be, if maintained better. Also felt like housekeeping ignored the rooms to an extent.
Generally ok, but wasn't a stress free, easy experience until we got the engineering involved.

Been here two hours and it sucks.
Spent all the time to do online speedy, self ck in, then the stupid machines don't work when you're here.
Back to old school check in. Double the time invested.
Restaurant service was horrible. Truck stop waitress had attitude.
Ordered drink that never came. Screwed up food order.
Food was bad.
Way too expensive!
Tried to get drink after and no service at all!
Go to room and just quit.
Stay somewhere else.
