Richard went above and beyond for us. He explained all of my options thoroughly and worked within my budget. I needed a new transmission. I appreciate everything he did for my family. Got my car back and paid less than my quote and my car works beautifully!

The folks at GT are wonderful. They were incredibly helpful, transparent about costs (which were more than reasonable), and friendly. A few months after they worked on my transmission, I had to take it to the dealer and the dealer said transmission was leaking. I took it back to GT and they took a look and made sure I was good to go. Will definitely return here if I need anything else.

What a great and honest bunch of people! I brought them my truck for transmission repair, and they discovered that it had a recall and charged me nothing while taking perfect care of my truck. I was raised to believe that Mechanic and honest couldn’t be used in the same sentence… These folks will take good care of you and prove that honest mechanics do exist.

Took truck in from trans over heating ,they did rebuild .over heated again coming from road trip ,they couldn't locate why ,did another build ,then burned up within 40 miles and there saying abuse and not warranting there work cause I did as they asked and it burned up again.Looks like they stuck behind there employees but not there work.DONT GO THERE .

Last year I had General rebuild a 4R100 which they should have been able to do in their sleep, but yet. The transmission has never shifted properly, it whines (never good) and it started throwing codes, oh yeah the pan started leaking too (!) They told me since they didn't install it they weren't going to honor their warranty, even tho' I own a established general repair shop and the re-install was done p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y. I also caught the guy processing the bill trying to charge more than quoted. **Never again** and I'll try to convince as many people as I can to go elsewhere.

Went there 4th of July they pulled codes an told me transmission was bad tried to get me to let them replace it 5000 to 9000 honda civic 2015 told them no they added 3 quarts of fluid charged me 100 dollars I wasstaying at nugget next day I took it to honda they fixed it watch out don't trust general get a second opinion his reply to the post is what he told me he is right they don't replace transmission for the fun of it they do it for money how about waiting till you need one

The reason I add a review is to help the next person not to attack the shop I left a review on my car general estimate was 5000 to 9000 to fix it they wanted to replace the transmission I got it fixed the next day at reno honda 300 dollars if general cared about the customer the should of said that's great I am glad for you instead they try to defend the rediculas estimate get a second estimate it saved me thousands good luck

These boys got my old truck purring like a tiger.My new tranny shifts like a dream. When I'm cruising up the hill with my windows down and the pedal to the metal I feel like I could go anywhere, thanks to the fine folks at General Transmission.Great service, they answered my questions and taught me a little, did the job quickly, and even gave me a hat.(YOU probably won't get a hat, so don't get your hopes up.)
