Sadly the pharmacy staff is always extremely rude when I come by to pick up my prescriptions. I get treated like I’m a burden and they often get my birthday wrong and tell me I don’t have anything available even when I have texts showing I have my medications ready for pick up. I understand if it’s a one time thing but it is every time as of late. Will be switching pharmacies.

I am not somebody who leaves negative reviews/comments. However being mistreated by staff members on multiple occasions, needs to be brought to somebody’s attention.
I used CVS in the past, for several years but ended up transferring to Walgreens because the customer service got so terrible every time I went to the CVS Pharmacy. Due to a change in my insurance I have recently returned to CVS and am again very disappointed.
The staff working in the Pharmacy at 1250 W. 7th Street in Reno NV have been rude and extremely unprofessional on several occasions this year to me, my daughter, and my mother.
The most recent incident was 6.21.24. I went into to the Pharmacy located at 1250 W. 7th Street in Reno Nevada, to request refills on a couple of my monthly prescriptions. I stood at the DROP OFF counter for several minutes and was not acknowledged by any of the staff working. After being ignored for several minutes, I moved to the PICK UP counter and placed my purse and empty medicine bottles on the counter. Another few minutes passed and one of the staff members(I’m not sure who because none of them looked at me) said, “We’ll be with you in a minute…”. A second staff member then told me to go back to the DROP OFF counter. As I moved all of my items over, another employee told me to move back to the PICK UP counter.
A few moments later the staff member standing & typing on a computer (about 20ft away from me at the counter), raised their voice and said, “Birthday?”. So I also raised my voice to somewhat holler over to them and said my birthday. It was a bit awkward as there were other customers and employees around us. Next, the staff member proceeded to ask my name, and each prescription name… I had five different medications so we slowly went through each one. Luckily, I am not embarrassed easily so I called out each medication name.
I did not get direct eye contact, a “please”, “thank you” or “you’re welcome” from one employee in the pharmacy during my entire visit.
The last time my daughter (18 yrs old), came in to pay for & pick up some of my medications, the staff wouldn’t give them to her because she couldn’t remember my birth year but could answer any other questions they asked .
I get hung up on frequently while holding when I try to call & talk to the Pharmacy/Pharmacist so the app they offer is my saving grace. The app makes it very easy to manage & pay for my prescriptions for the most part. It would be helpful if I could change the amount for each refill while on the app because there are times when I don’t want/need a 90 day supply. In order to change my refill to a 30 day supply, I have to speak with somebody in person.
If the intention of the pharmacy staff is to make customers feel small & insignificant, they’re doing a fabulous job.
I have talked to many people in the area who have had similar, disappointing and frustrating experiences at CVS Pharmacy’s.
It is no secret that Customer Service is a HUGE part of what makes a company successful or not… makes it stand out in a positive or negative way. CVS is obviously successful, the store employees are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful every time I enter the store. I can’t say the same for the Pharmacy.
I want to know why this kind of service is acceptable to corporate?? If my company displayed that kind of service, we would have zero customers.

I called in a prescription at 9am for fill and was told it would be ready in 3 hours. I wait till 4 to call and it wasn’t ready. I spoke with a younger woman named Maureen who tried to tell me the pharmacist at this location doesn’t start filling prescriptions until 4pm (even though they open at 9) and when I told her I’ve been a costumer for 15 years and that’s never been the case she just flipped a switch. Fast forward to me going in to pick it up at 5:30. I walked up to the counter to pick up my meds and it was maureen again, she was friendly enough until I told her my name. Once again she flipped like a switch. She was incredibly rude. When she asked for my ID she literally ripped it out of my hand. She scanned all the medications before asking if I was aware of a $300 copay and when I told her no I didn’t want that med because of the copay she literally said “are you kidding? I have to redo all of what I just did”. Well, Maureen, it’s your job to inform the costumer of any cost before you ring it up. Then she needed my ID again, ripped it back out of my hand and literally threw it at me when she was done. Then when she physically shoved the receipt at me. It didn’t go far as it’s paper. I asked for her name and she didn’t even bat an eye. Thanks Maureen, I’ll be sure to contact your boss and let them know of your behavior. There are cameras and can’t wait to see what they think of that encounter.

The cashier was so incredibly sweet and kind. She was really helpful when I was buying medicine for my children. I was so grateful for her help. This was my first time in the store and it was under stressful circumstances. She was so compassionate and kind.

If you use this pharmacy, plan on standing in line for a ridiculous amount of time nearly every time you need to pick up a prescription. They are grossly understaffed to the point that they have to speak loudly to each other from across the room for information when working on a prescription. Forget about privacy here...I can tell you exactly what illnesses the two people in front of me had (one was an STD) and what prescriptions they were picking up. I'm pretty sure they both wanted that information kept private. Yikes CVS pharmacy. Do better.

Every time I get a medication sent here it takes them so long to have it ready. It took them 4 days once to have it ready and I really needed that prescription done. They have also lost my medication and I have to go to Sparks or Robb CVS to look for it. It just makes me so frustrated that they don't have the medications on time.

I realize it’s likely the location, experiences, and ingrained prejudices of the employees and pharmacy staff; if you can avoid going here- DO IT. Dismissive pharmacy staff. Aloof and disinterested floor staff.

0 if I could. The lady working was ridiculously rude for no reason at all. I went in at 5:30 and the gates were already pulled almost all the way in front of the pharmacy that is OPEN until 6. Cut me off mid sentence every time I tried to speak. If she had let me speak even just once then the time it took us both would have been cut in half but she chose to be rude. Order your prescriptions anywhere but here. However, the cashiers for the whole store were incredibly pleasant. Sadly if one person is a bad person the whole store will go down with her.

Service was excellent. The customer service representative was very knowledgeable and helpful. This new location is much nicer than the old store that was here. Easier to navigate the stock and find what I need.
