I had an emergency and had to pick up a prescription and was hesitant when seeing the reviews of this location but I am presently surprised. First off I called had spoke to a very friendly lady who was helpful. The pharmacist was extremely friendly. And the CVS staff alone was super sweet as well. Not sure why so many negative reviews but whatever they changed was great bc everyone was wonderful there.

They lose every prescription that comes through here. Total waste of time to send any prescription here. I've come in 4 separate times and literally every single time I've come in they couldn't find my prescription. I'm not sure if it's just that their system is inefficient or what's going on but it's not good.

The person who answered my call (Justin?) could benefit from a lesson on adequate customer service or just how to talk to people in general. I was asking about an update on my prescription transfer, and he interrupted me/talked over me while I was trying to explain. I understand that the pharmacy can be busy and they deal with a lot during the day, but there is absolutely no reason to be snarky and rude unprovoked. Would recommend avoiding this pharmacy in the future unless you are just going for routine pickups!

On Friday, April 7, 2023, my husband picked up several medications for both of us through the drive up at CVS Pharmacy at Northtowne. We always get our medications from the same pharmacy so it is easier to keep track of possible drug interactions and changes as medications are added to our profile. As it turns out, this pharmacy refilled this medication using my old dose and not the newer (current) dose. I discovered the problem just now and called them. They said they couldn't take the meds back even though they remain sealed in their original packages. I understand that, but they refuse to return the $50.66 that we paid for their mistake in filling the wrong dose. I cannot use this medication and I have to pay for it too? This pharmacy did actually fill this medication earlier with the correct dose, so it is not like they weren't aware of the dose change. This frustrates me. We don't scrutinize each and every medication when we pick up several at a time because there is always a long line of cars waiting in the drive up. If we were one of the many people on a low or fixed income, $50 could be the difference between eating or not. This is very poor customer care and, even though we have been using this pharmacy for many years, we will be changing pharmacies.

The pharmacy at Northtown are horrible they treat the customers like garbage. I believe they forgot if it weren't for us customer's they would not have e a job. And if they don't like their job maybe they should go find another one line of work. Or better yet maybe I'll go find another pharmacy even though I've been with them for almost 10 years!!!

I’ve been coming here since my kids were little. As in any business all your employees aren’t going to be great at customer service- but they get better employees who are efficient, professional and always helpful.

Just like prior reviews this pharmacy is a joke. I tried to walk in for a flu shot (website says walk in welcome and doesn't say only for specific times).

The worst pharmacy in the Reno/Sparks area. The pharmacy it self is dirty. The ppl who stand in line complain about how they called 7 days prior for scrips and to find out they are not ready. The pharmacist enjoys hanging up on the patients and on the insurance company. They really need to close this place down. They are pathetic (The Pharmacist). Not all the employees. I was there yesterday to pick up a scrip for a friend and this elderly man was there to pick up insulin for his wife. Can you believe they couldn't find it in the mess they have there. Next time and I mean if there is a next time, I will post pictures. You all would be shocked. And this is the Northtown CVS. Thank God for Walmart.

This location use to be. Awesome for the last year every month their is an argument on when my meds are ready to be filled.. I shouldn't have to break down my pill schedule when it's written on the script... every month I say the same thing and every month I get argued with until they figure out that I'm correct and someone doesn't know how to read the computer then I'm promised meds by a certain time and it's always two to three hours after.. even when I explain I have a plane to catch it's oh I'm sorry..... Skyler is the only tech that is honest and on top of it.. every body else acts clueless ... the two main pharmacist are rude and act like they could care less

CVS is getting to big to bother with people. There are constant mistakes and the stonewalling of people. The first thing out of their mouths is "what's your birthday" after you said your name they ask for it again. No getting to know your customers. What's this world coming to, I've had it.

The line for the drive thru is always usually really long so we go inside to pick up the prescriptions. They are usually actually always pretty busy and if you have prescriptions to drop off you can expect to have to wait at least an hour or more so if you need the same day best to be there at least 2 hours before they close because if not you'll have to pick them up the next day. They also have an app for the pharmacy which is pretty helpful as well and shows all your prescription plus previous ones and stuff like that i definitely recommend checking it out it is fast and makes things much more easier than having to make sure you remember to find your prescription bottle and the rx number. The pharmacist is usually pretty nice and so is the rest of the staff they have there. The shopping part is pretty good too there is a variety of different brands to choose from and pretty good quality as well. It's an all around okay place to go

I needed some more medicine and got some here, and since I was coughing, had a runny nose and my throat was sore. And since I had those symptoms just for ease of mind got the Covid test- Which came negative.

Willfully, and deliberately, with malice, refused to give me a COVID-19 test. I have an important surgery scheduled, they were well aware of all of this, yet, they refused to give me the necessary test, TWICE! The behavior was unbelievably childish, how immature, it's like a daycare, you should think about your actions... You DEPRIVED ANOTHER HUMAN BEING OF THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS! ***UNBELIEVABLE***This test was not just necessary for myself, but, it was necessary FOR ALL HUMAN BEINGS IN WHICH I MAY COME IN CONTACT. Fortunately, I was able to go to another store where a PROFESSIONAL administered the test in a PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY MANNER, no issues, no pouting, no playing games. My complaint has been forwarded to the pharmacy board. I read a lot of complaints about prescribed, schedule 2 pain medications being shorted to their patients, this would explain a lot...
