I agree with most other reviews (obviously not the five star *ss kissing ones) I went in to sort out my two shares and only went in to get some logistics on stock in general. I was merely walked through opening an account online which clearly I could have done without putting pants on. I was told one of my certificates was not valid for deposit but the other one was. I held it in my account for a week before deciding to sell, which I thought I did. However today I received it back in the mail stating it also was not valid. The worst part of this was that it was literally verified by an employee before depositing into my new account I didn't want.
Overall these people are over paid sitting high and mighty in a huge waste of a building and their only objective is to get you to open an account so they maintain a paycheck.
Google should allow negative stars for reviews because there are so many times that one star is still far too much.

This place is useless employees do not have any understanding about accts. They only know how to argue.
I have a llc manage my corporate retirement acct by myself ( self managed ) in order to get employees end of year statements they would not give and kept arguing that my name in not on each employee acct. don't understand that I am the plan administrator which they Could see buy still would not.

Worst Financial Firm I have ever dealt with in 50+ years—-Broker never answers phone—goes directly into voicemail. Never follows up—-Btw, I have accounts at Fidelity, eTrade, Morgan Stanley and each of them are by far better—

Had a great experience with Cheryl who walked me through understanding CD's and how to understand them on the platform. Highly recommend.

Horrible Experience. Everybody is polite but nobody knows how to assist the client with a transaction. I was transferred from TD Ameritrade and nothing is the same and nothing is easy. In this office they promised "everything is in order" got a call the following week, their office person neglected important information so the trade did not go through. All format useless service (secure messaging, on-line, office) the only way I was able get a funds transfer started for my RMD - after three weeks of attempting - was finally getting ahold of hopefully the right fund manager on the phone. It's still no where near completed, as it has to be performed in three (insane) steps. TD Ameritrade was go on-line and it was completed, or call any TD number and it was completed. Many Schwab staff start telling you what to do before they listen to your whole story, so they advise you incorrectly and then come back and say, "oh well, no, you can't in that case...".My advice to a new and inexperienced investor is to avoid Charles Schwab like the plague. Senior guys, you know the paperwork and don't need Schwab advisor help, so Schwab is probably a great deal for your types.

Honestly feels like a very dated business. App/transactions are slow, clunky, and difficult to navigate. I recently opened an Amex Platinum Card and just afterwards noticed that there was an equivalent card that could be connected to my investing account, but I couldn’t simply link them by any process after the fact without having to start all over? Let’s go Charles Schwab get better at operating in the new millennium. Can’t run if you’re constantly being held back by laggy systems.

Useless. Don't know why they have this big office here Never let you speak to advisor and front desk people always quick to brush you off as fast as possible and tell you you to call Charles Schwab or go online What's the F'ing point of a brach if you have to still do everything online or phone

Unfriendly front desk. She tries to get rid of you, asking what your questions are and then saying Schwab cant help. If you want to bring your money here you have to be very assertive and push your way in. She demanded to know how much money I want to bring over then finally reluctantly agreed to let me talk to someone. Attendant needs training on customer service and sales: maybe dont be unfriendly and try to send away new customers wanting to bring their money to your bank.

Do not trust this location with your money. My mother who is retired lives on Social Security and some small inheritance lost about $6000 due to taxes because of Michelle. She recently went to see Michelle at the Reno office to help her navigate moving some money around to hopefully buy a house. My mother went and got her taxes done and found out she owes the IRS 6k and is in the tax bracket of 22%. For those who live of social security that was half her income last year flushed down the toilet. When speaking with another Schwab rep at another location we learned she could have got the money she needed for the house penalty and tax free. When confronting Michelle about this she said she doesn't know where she put her money and why she didn't take it from the correct account. Mentioned she would look into it but we have yet to hear back from her or any manager. Michelle is completely incompetent with her job or completely doesn't care. Hard earned money lost with just a click of her button. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION.

I walked into the Charles Schwab branch on Kietzke to take care of a minor issue with a joint TD Ameritrade account with my now deceased father. Although impressed by the esthetics of the rather large and new branch, it seems excessive due to the apparent lack of business volume. After a wait at the front desk while being helped by a visibly disinterested female employee who was fumbling around between computers alluding to not having access to Ameritrade accounts, she excused herself and went to an office. A short time later, she emerged with a male employee, who seemed annoyed. He asked me how he could help me in a less than friendly tone and asked me to accompany him to his office. I had to explain the simple request once again which was completed after an over winded and unnecessary conversation The overall experience seemed contentious for such a simple request. Service with a smile…not so much.
