Getting bored with the standard fare, and wanting a really good bbq steak, I stopped in to Butcher Boy Market. Picked out several things, the Korean bbq sticks...delicious and oh so tender! Also chose the prime cut New York steak with Char Crust -Java Buzz dry rub. I baby sat the steaks on the grill, and they were incredible! Better than any steak house in town! Staff was super welcoming, will def. Be back.

Nice folks and great products--try the prime ribeyes. I think these are the best steaks I have ever eaten. And if you are feeling really self indulgent they also have very nice waygu. Make their own sausages which are delicious. A real treat for anyone you like is a gift card to Butcher Boy.

I’m a local chef and father and I wanted to make some oxtail soup for my family, I called Butcher Boy and asked if they had oxtails, I was so excited the guy said we have plenty, I go in to pick up oxtails and a lady with her back to me yells “ we’re all out!” , I said I called earlier and you said you had plenty, everyone got quiet, no one said anything to me or about more coming, I was so disappointed in the service I just walked out frustrated and lost. That was my first and last time I will ever do business with them.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely store. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in mouths. Absolutely the best meat I had while in Vancouver. Highly recommend!

BUT - We've had excellent results with purchases in past years BUT this last purchase of Prime rib eyes was so disappointing a couple months ago that we may not buy our rib roast for T-giving there this year as we have in the past. The rib eyes were overly fatty and and WAY too much gristle. This year we want chateaubriand center cut tenderloin roast but it seems like too much of a risk.

First time shopping here. What a fantastic experience. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Went in not expecting to find everything I was looking for, to my surprise I found everything I needed and more. Even ordered a turkey for the holidays. Can’t wait to go back. Really enjoyed Patti she was knowledgeable and friendly.
