Service sucks here, no one even greets you when you enter and then all the employees walk by and don't even acknowledge your presence even as they walk by looking at you. Worst service ever!!

I'd really like to give them 5 stars. Because the staff are mostly knowledgeable and friendly. My computer died, thought I'd drop it off since I have a service contract with the Geek Squad. Ha ... no such thing. You need an appointment to drop off your device. Fortunately the front door guy checked to see if there was an opening at service. Fortunately there was.So my 10 year old computer needed a new processor ... cost as much as a new computer. But I just days before got a new iphone and new apple watch, did not want to buy another device. Service guy said I could get a reasonable computer for around $500 ... not so! (Well maybe a Dell)So I went looking at the computers and service guy was going to send a sales guy right over. 15 minutes later, I was thinking of leaving, but then I'd have no working computer. So I was looking around and saw a gaming computer on sale for $679. When sales guy finally got there, I explained that I am not a gamer, I use my computer for entertainment .. a little facebook, writing Yelp reviews, and I keep my checkbook on Quicken. He said no problem, this computer could do that and it had 1g of memory. Great. Why don't I show you what else we have ... two other more expensive computers with less memory .. What!!! No, I'll take the first one. If you sign up for their credit card you can pay it off in a year with no interest, plus you get 10% off. I said 10% off this sale .. he thought so.Not so, 10% off my next purchase with my new Best Buys only credit card, which will immediately go in to a drawer and not be used .. don't really want or need another credit card. So now I have a new computer and a broken computer. Can I just take it over to service and have them transfer my data. No .. of course, not. I need to make an appointment. They actually wanted me to leave the store and go online to make an appointment. This is when I'm really getting ticked off!Fortunately, my daughter was with me and she went over to the service desk and held my place in line .. as I was there already once about an hour before this event. A very nice technician explained it would take 3 days .. OK I'll wait three days. Can you transfer all my programs over .. oh no, we can't do that. We can transfer your files, etc. I just want to copy over my old version of Office. I use word once a month. Excel never, powerpoint years ago. No you can't even buy it .. you have to get the app and pay monthly ... well! I'd rather write with chalk on the sidewalk then to payd $25 a month to use what I already owned on my old computer. Somehow they managed to copy my old version of Office on the new computer, but Quicken totally not compatible and I didn't have my original license information. So I left my computer. It was ready the same night. But I had an appointment in 3 days or I can try to come in as a walk in to pick it up. I went online to change my appointment .. I got a cancelation notice for my original appointment, but no confirmation on the new one. So I thought I just try to walk in. When I got there they said I could wait as they already had 2 appointment for the time I arrived. Ironically one of those was actually me ... the appointment I never got a confirmation for.So I'm home getting used to my new computer. My MSN/Outlook email works fine .. but all I'm getting is advertising on my gmail account. Waited a couple of days and logged on to the Geek Squad from home. Took them an hour, but now I'm getting my gmail as well.So as I said, I'd love to give them 5 stars .. if just for the staff. Because the run around make you want to pull your hair out.

Staff literally doesn't know the difference between one tv and another. And if you have an issue, hold times on the phone are atrocious. Why buy at Best Buy? You shouldn't.

Best Buy in general is a joke. They have zero customer service skills. Was given the run around reagding inventory. 2 different employees said they couldn't call and check the other store before I drove there because they don't have the phone number, wierd because it's on my cc transaction. Save yourself a wasted day and but direct from manufacturer. Wont have to deal with people who just don't care.

Bought a new appliance which was the easy part. The delivery and installation, however, was terrible. They showed up on time, however, by the time the old appliance was taken out they said they didn't have time to do the installation. The fellow said they are on a time limit to deliver, take out the old appliance and install. Since it took longer to take out the old appliance they were out of time to install. Plus, their truck left a big oil stain our driveway. Called to reschedule the delivery and installation and now have to wait almost 3 weeks. Very disappointing and frustrating experience. Not the best customer service. Will never use Best Buy again.

I bought an open box TV and there were some minor issues with it. I contacted the store and management listened and made it right. For the delivery, John from Geek Squad went above and beyond to work with my schedule which is not always easy or feasible from a business perspective. John and Conner were polite, professional, and efficient delivering the TV and hauling out the old one. Thank you Best Buy Reno for making kind decisions and taking care of me.

Just recycled a tv and a printer. The tv is $29, printer was free. The staff was friendly and helpful, as they always have been. Not a fan of paying the $29 fee.

Still visiting Best Buy and have bought a few electronic items from this store. Service is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Best Buy has some killer deals on electronics - computers, TVs, housewares, and security items right around this time of the year - Christmas. My son likes to visit Best Buy for their DVD selection. Surprisingly, they have a new shipment in preparation for the holidays.Busy on a weekday, 3 weeks before Christmas. Look for the sales. and enjoy!

My business was turned away although I had 2 different posted prices for a product sold inside Best Buy. The posted price inside Best Buy was $79.99, Not on Sale at Target was $59.99 & On sale at Gamestop was $45.45. Initially I was just going with the posted price of $59.99 however the manager said it was not allowed because it was a sale item or only if you "bought it online" This isn't true as it's posted for this price for the item in and out of the store. He felt he made his point with the "gamestop sale" correlation. however; it's not on sale at Target; it's just the price of it. Took my business elsewhere.

If you need advice for TVs or Sound, head over to Best Buy and ask for, Trey. Trey helped me and my husband understand and pick out the best TV and subwoofers and sound system in the market. He is extremely knowledgeable and is extremely patient. We had so many questions and were at the store for 3+ hours trying to understand and get clarification on what to buy in order to get the best bang for our buck. Trey delivered. He is amazing. Go go go! For appliances, Tim, is your guy. I can't believe how much money and time Tim saved us by price matching and shopping with Best Buy. He was so nice and patient with us. He helped us pick out the best appliances we were looking for and answered all of our questions with his years of expertise! Thank you Trey and Tim for helping us with our first home purchase journey!! Because of y'all, we'll always consider Best Buy as our top 3 favs!

Unable to access this machine, unless you're willing to go through TSA, wait in line and get searched...i was in desperate need of a sealed box of Apple Airpods as a Mother's Day Gift. I got off of work, cashed check, and was in search of a last minute Mother's day gift. I knew she wanted to replace her old earpods, that was missing a headphone, and when I asked Google for an electronics store that was open at 9 o'clock in the morning, the only positive return in google search, was a "Best Buy," Kiosk..oh man! I was so happy, I had tears coming out my eyes, because I was finally going to be able to purchase a nicely requested ? gift for my wife. She deserved it! All was going well until I got off the freeway. I had typed in the kiosk's address in Google maps GPS, however, the address I typed into the GPS kept having me drive in circles..I didn't understand why it was having me drive in circles, so I finally stopped and typed in the address into Google search..it was close to the RENO TAHOE Airport. Then I paused and recalled seeing these kiosk machines inside the Airport..I drove around twice because the Airport police would not let me park in the loading zone without actually loafing or unloading. My third time around I got a ticket and parked inside the Airport parking garage. I walked in walking to the where I last remembered seeing them, but no dice!! They weren't there.. I asked a woman at the information booth if they had a Best Buy Kiosk and she said yes, I asked her how I could get there, she asked, are you flying out? I said..uhhhm..yes. she said, ok, well when you go pass through security you'll be able to access it..........one hour, it took me to end up with nothing..why couldn't they have this information when you look it up??? WHY!??? I GOT MY WIFE FLOWERS, A TEDDY BEAR, YOU KNOW VALENTINES TYPE GIFTS..and I learned a valuable lesson..Never wait until the last minute to make these gift purchases...

I bought a monitor that was advised to hook up my laptop too. It didn't work so I took it back and they said to try it again so I brought it home and it still didn't work. This isn't the first time that they gave me something that didn't work I bought a Wi-Fi router in the past and it didn't work.

Best Bye Bye. Went to the Reno location in search of a new tv and vcr. Settled on a 77" model tv. The clerk, Jason; I think was his name told me that an install was three to four weeks out. That was not acceptable so I told him never mind about the purchase. Then a miracle occurred. There was an open install date the following week. I'll take it I said. I even opened a Best Buy credit card. The day of the install came. I had taken the time off. The time window came and went; no one showed. I called Best Buy. They had a "problem" and wouldn't be able to do an install for three to four weeks. Canceled my order. Then, because I had agreed to allow them to do the install, I had to speak with a third party provider to cancel the $200.00 install charge. That was fun. In broken English, I was informed that only a portion of my charge would be refunded. They didn't provide any service, nothing. I wished her well on collecting. The following day I received an email saying that the full amount had been refunded. Back to Jason. During the purchase of the vcr, I specifically asked if that Panasonic model would start a movie where it was left off without having to scene search for my place. "Yes" he said. Wrong. At best, Jason is either ignorant of the products he sells, or at worst, a liar. Since the install date had suddenly reverted back to the original estimated 3-4 weeks, I'm going with the latter as Jason is concerned. Don't trust them.
