Kevin is extremely rude and unprofessional. His attitude and behavior is rather shocking to witness coming from a supposed 'professional.' We would not recommend him as your CPA or tax preparer/filer.
He filed our 2022 tax return and did not include the required Form 8958 with my husband and mine's respective tax returns, which he should have since my husband and I are MFS and we live in a community property state (NV). We noticed that the forms were missing from our copies of 2022 tax return document while preparing our tax returns this season. When we reached out to ask him why we don't have copies of the missing required forms, he kept avoiding our inquires saying he will address any questions after the tax filing deadline. We understand he is busy at this time, but it does not take long to confirm with us whether he filed this form and why we don't have copies of such forms. We asked him if he could at least please have his staff promptly send us the missing forms, but he continued to ignore our request to promptly send us the forms and became very rude and unprofessional in his tone. In his remarks, he said that we 'have received what we paid him to complete,' essentially confirming that he did not file this required tax form as part of our 2022 tax return.
It was also clear from his tone that he was resentful we had chosen not to use his services earlier in the year (for this year's tax season). It was particularly disturbing how deliberately unhelpful he sought to be and the level of unprofessionalism and vindictiveness he possessed during his communications.
If you would like your taxes filed correctly and would like to not be treated like garbage, then please spare yourself and don't work with Kevin.

I've been going to Kevin for over a decade now & has been the best tax preparer for my business. He's always been honest and diligent. He and his staff have always been amazing and I look forward to continuing working with them now and in the future.

My experience with Kevin was unprofessional.. I am pretty easy going and never put negative remarks unless absolutely necessary.. I would not recommend him..Thank you ☺️

I agree with the previous review. Kevin is the worst person I have ever hired. I hired him to review a previous tax return and he started a long process with the IRS. He was unresponsive the entire time and left the issue unresolved.Not only did this consume tons of my time, but now the IRS has turned me over to collections over a small dollar value on the issue that Kevin left unresolved.If you want to waste your time and create more problems than you solve, Kevin is your guy!

Kevin is the worst person I have ever hired. I hired him to review a previous tax return and he started a long process with the IRS. He was unresponsive the entire time and left the issue unresolved. Not only did this consume tons of my time, but now the IRS has turned me over to collections over a small dollar value on the issue that Kevin left unresolved. If you want to waste your time and create more problems than you solve, Kevin is your guy!

Worst person I've ever hired. Kevin did our taxes for three years. He made a complete mess out of our 2021 tax return so I got a bill from the IRS and had to resolve issues with them directly. For 2022, his office sent me an email asking us to send our tax documents to them. We did so. Then after doing our taxes, he informed us he would no longer do our taxes, I shouldn't contact his office to get an electronic copy of our return, and we were already considered former clients. All without explanation, though his office did demand payment immediately. He should have just said he didn't want to do our taxes, instead of reaching out to us for our papers. Shockingly hostile and obstructive behavior. I don't recommend him in the least.

I would not recommend Berge or his staff for anything. I have had more accurate returns with H&R Block. I don't know if he knows the difference between a stock option, deferred option, or any related matter. Don't dare call on a Friday before closing, no one will answer. Adjust your clock to Central Time in hopes of talking to anyone. You have a better chance of the hitting the lottery than this place returning a message. If you have any type of tax return besides a very basic one, save your time and money. Unless, you enjoy making constant corrections and leaving numerous unanswered messages, do your research. I feel sorry for any of his clients that gets audited by the IRS.
