They were nice and serviced my vichele. It was expensive, so I was unable to fix my A/C. But regardless, they were understanding.

I brought a thirty one year old, original owner car I just bought here because they are the only place in town I could find with R12 (an antiquated type of Freon). Paid $99 for diagnostics and was told there were no leaks so I asked them to charge it the ac. Total was $649. I picked up the car a few hours later and it was blowing mostly hot with a hint of ac. The next day it was blowing completely hot. Fast forward a couple of weeks of feeling like I’m boiling alive in a hot car in summer doordashing hours on end. My friend who works at Ammerman’s Automotive took a look at it and found the leak immediately and fixed it with a small part easily found at any auto parts store. AND they have a Freon that is compatible with outdated, ridiculously expensive R12 Freon. $60 plus labor to have ac that works compared to $650 for a hot car Save your money, take your vehicles to mechanics that care at Ammerman’s Automotive in Sparks. I’ll never go anywhere else again.

These guys have done work on several of my vehicles, from full AC system rebuilds, to minor repairs and system recharges, and I've always been very happy. They communicate well, reasonable prices, and always quick turn around time.

Absolute Thivery!
These people tried to charge my wife over $1200 to change an air condenser on her car. A $50 condenser, up-charged to $300, a $17 hose up-charged to $170, and almost $300 just to put refrigerant back in. They absolutely tried to take advantage of a female walking into their shop. They saw an opportunity to outrageously overcharge for parts, quote 3 hrs for a 1 hr job, and were more than happy to prey on someone they thought wouldn’t know the difference. These people are absolutely terrible and have disgusting business practices.
I had the exact same work done on my car not even 2 years ago for about 1/3 the cost they were trying to charge her.
Thieves and cowards; all of them.

Quick, professional, great communication at all steps of the process. Couldn’t be happier with the experience, and they’re my new go-to place.

Mike and the guys really took care of me and provided great service. They only charged me for the services I needed and let me know what was coming next but could wait. I felt they were honest and respected me.

I’d be a little leery of having these guys do work on your car air conditioner. My Subaru cross treck AC/heater just stop blowing air. I took it to these guys. They charge me $99 for a diagnostic and told me they had to replace the fan, the control panel for $1100 and at that point only the heater would work. It would be about another $400 to get the air conditioner work. When the fellow there was explaining to me, what was wrong he wasn’t very clear. Because my air conditioner was working fine up until the point it stopped blowing. I was about to go ahead and have them do the work but my gut was telling me somethings wrong here. I had even given them my keys and called an Uber to take me back to the house but at the last minute I took my keys back and canceled the Uber and drove out of there. I went down to Pasadena California and took it to another air conditioning specialist And he told me it was the control panel wiring that was messed up. So they replaced the control panel and fix the wiring for $800… and they completed it in a couple of hours.I still probably over paid but it was a whole lot better than $1400. After I got it back, everything was fine. The air conditioner work and the heater worked.I strongly recommend you get a second opinion, and do not believe everything these folks tell you!Even though I drove to Southern California with no heater or AC, I felt like I won this battle… I’m not very mechanical, but I urge everybody trust your gut!

I always take my car here for any problems or maintenance. This time they replaced my water pump, and I felt the charge was competitive. They were kind to answer my questions and are always good to work with.
