The roof top bar is top notch, not to mention the late night hot spring parties every Friday. Photo of lost soul looking for a purpose.

I have stayed here several times with and without my ADA complaint dog. Tonight I showed up and told pets are only allowed in one corner of the buildings. I stated I need an accessible room, those apparently are NOT pet friendly. I stated that it is technically against the law to put an ADA complaint service animal in "pet room" when a request has been made and that true ADA complaint dogs will have a problem with a pet room due to the hundreds of animals that stay in it being a HUGE DISTRACTION. Sure enough, my dog sniffed for 30 minutes. This is not usual behavior. I can't count how many ADA compliant violations there are at this facility. And the fact that Washoe county says they can do this is ludicrous. Oh, and there is a huge paper you have to sign in you have an ADA dog! I guess a pet is excused from the paperworkI am literally in the very last room furthest from the front desk, the restaurant, the airport shuttle and I have a toilet so low, with a torn hip, it is excruciating to get up.I don't dare hobble 200 yards to the restaurant/bar to eat. I can only imagine my ADA complaint dog and I will be harassed when entering. This was such a nice place. The feeling tonight was almost hostile. As for the rooms, yes they are dated but beds are comfortable for a night or two. The interior grounds are rather serene. And having an on site eatery is nice...if you are not crippled with an ADA service animal and put as far away as you can get and no room service. This PET room smells horrible.I will get writing a letter.Rooms: Out dated. Old and worn. Carpet curled up and stains.

At first it was difficult for us to find the room and no one helped with that and the drink vending machines, some do not work and you have to walk to find the next one.

I love staying at the Surestay, it is always very clean and the restaurant inside is nice for breakfast. It's also convenient that it's so near the airport. The last time I stayed here I brought my dog and they had a dog bed and treats for him which I thought was a really nice touch. I've never had any issues with people being too loud or with pets in other rooms barking. They have a strict policy about keeping your dogs quiet and I think that's great.

OMG, the fat, hunched over guy at the front desk was about as friendly as a holocaust guard. If this guy smiled, it would probably break his face. Ask a question and he doesn't even look at you when he answers. This is what I imagine a one-star hotel service is like. I wouldn't leave my car in this neighborhood at night either. The room was a one-star hotel room too. I would stay at a casino or somewhere else.

Our first time staying here after attending the rib festival. We decided to stay the night and reserve a pet friendly room, although we did not choose to bring our pet this time around. The check process was OK one of the young gentlemen working the counter alongside another one could have been a little bit more attentive on the customer service side of things, but decided his conversation with his coworker was more important around who stayed the latest the night before. I've been that there was a nice oversized, dog bed and a dog care bag on the bed which I thought was very cool. The overnight stay was peaceful for the most part, breakfast was definitely a busier part of the morning small café to have breakfast. Staff was friendly, but at time seemed a little overwhelmed. due to having to ask for coffee twice in a row and needing to place our breakfast order. Breakfast meal was decent. Even though the location was close to the airport I did not notice the peep from any plane at all. I think we might consider this location next time and bring our pet, although I'm not too sure when the last time the pet bed may have possibly been cleaned.

Granted we did request a room that accepts dogs, but we have stayed at other Best Western motels and never have had such a negative experience with odor and well, icky, accommodations. We always bring a travel crate with us so our dog does not sleep in either our bed or on the carpet. That was a good thing, because I think we might have had to find another motel for the evening, as our dog was greatly disturbed by odors. We are thinking that a cat or cats had been smuggled into the room at some point and that dogs may have had accident that were not cleaned. Animals smuggled into a room are not the fault of the property but we were charged a large fee for thorough cleaning of the rooms between customers. The bed linens and towels were almost threadbare and there were large stains on the carpet. Hope this Best Western improves because the location is a convenient one---close to the airport but pretty quiet.
