My husband is a patient in the hospital and spent a stay in the ER, his care in that Dept was outstanding, the staff was caring and provided update of his care on a regular basis. Each staff entered his room #12 in ER they gave us a update of their findings, this ER is outstanding. They were caring and explained all that they at foundWe are so please with our VA hospital, they deserve an A plus ratingMarilyn Sirna on behalf of Veteran Sylvester Sirna #7349

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. And I’m not sure why I even continue to come here hoping to get help. It’s useless as a young back woman. I’m over it.Doctors rush you out with no answers. Even with MRI results or x-rays that say other than “you’re okay”.Bad mouth patients and other staff members right in front of patients.I seen a Dr. Yesterday, that told me straight up “I’m sorry that you are not getting the proper care that you need and deserve, and I hate to say it, but it’s because you are black”. I was shocked that she was of other race and noticed it without me even saying it… I am tired, sick, and frustrated with VA medical. They really shouldn’t treat people this way. Especially, after serving this country. Perhaps this is why so may suffer in silence.

Who ever is "Hands-Down" needs to take their "Self-Entitled happy Butt" out into the world and see whats on the other side of that fence.....The VA 'IS NOT" FREE - It's "Pre-Paid"... we warriors (at least this one and those I served with "Paid forward". I do not feel entitled nor do I bite the hand that feeds me, nor smite those who reach-out to help me, nor curse the system in which I live in. (I have seen the other side - Not even a bandaid afforded.Get your head screwed on right. The VA at Pecos, Las Vegas Nevada does nothing 2nd rate... in fact, law is that each VA facility must employ min 25% staff per facility. VA Las Vegas boasts more than 50%..... hum,... some people know where to go for VA Health care.Next time you feel ill,... take your entitled but down to UMC on Charleston for care,.... oh, don't forget to take your chicken or goat-on-a leash with you as half the 3rd worlds in there bring theirs.Proud to be seen at the PECOS VA HOSPITAL !!!!

I've been to multiple VA's across the country. I have to say, this one has been pretty good to me. The magnitude of their mental health services improves. I've had bad experiences, but they're always resolved and switching providers has never been a difficult objective to find the ones who suite me. I highly recommend veterans to try a PRRC group to help elevate coping skills and learning skills. The team at Cheyenne are above phenomenal at what they do

Please designate an employee parking area like most V.A. hospitals..for its not fair your employees with the hanging handicap sign or plate utilize the parking spot all day long!! Just be around after 4 p.m. and watch how folks in scrubs, etc, walk out to their car, taking up space for 8 to 10 hours. I mean, come on. Start verifying the employee name with the hanging tag and/or have them a designated area to park in.

an excellent healthcare system, they do so much more for their patients (veterans) than the private hospitals do for their patients. VA Healthcare has been my provider for over 25 years. Detroit VA for over 20 years (maybe the best in the country) then Las Vegas VA also top notch.

My visits have always been prompt and the doctors have taken time me. Better than Medicaid advantage.

Always have had great experience with all clinics at this facility, timely, friendly, professional. My only complaint is that there is not enough staff to answer the phones - usually a 30 minute wait time on hold leads to high level of frustration. Sometimes transferred to another office with another long phone wait, ridiculous wait time! Please hire more staff for phone service only!

My fellow veterans struggling with mental health issues: if u are having a mental health emergency or crisis, u may want to kill urself before seeking help here. Ok, all sarcasm aside.. I was a patient admitted to the mental health unit & it was a horrific experience. "Nurse" Vimal Patel should not work in a hospital. He makes people worse, not better, by exercising poor judgement through his limited & closed-minded thinking. He is cocky & seeks approval and the attention of his supervisors through his overstated inaccurate opinions - longing to fit in & impress. Mr. Patel, you are still young.. Plz find a career that makes you feel better about yourself.

Don't get wounded in combat and expect the VA to care because they don't. They make you feel like you're a burden and we wonder why gen Z doesn't want to join the military.

I'm a Veteran. I exclusively use the VA for my healthcare. I've never had a negative experience here. If you are a Veteran, register for care, get your service-connection paperwork started, get your benefits. You deserve them. Semper Fi.

Everyone I served with no longer goes to the VA.The civilians running the VA aka civilian affairs is doing the same as our government. They don't care. After being placed on multiple medications that landed in the hospital numerous times and they refused to make adjustments.I'm sorry I didn't deploy numerous times just to die over having a severe reaction to multiple medications.I simply believe they do not have what's best for my interest. I don't trust them.I will do what most combat vets do and seek better treatment elsewhere.
