Absolutely the worst community college ever! I signed up for one class and I dropped it a day after the deadline. Now they're charging me $239 and threatening to take me to collections, I'll be having my lawyer contact the college.

Hours are a bit difficult to work with and the lines are long. Not their fault though.

The rudest and worst employees to deal with in a school setting that I have ever experienced. Constantly talk over you while trying to sort issues, never claim responsibility, and forever place blame on students even with things that our completely out of our hands. All they care about is money, & lack any sort of quality. I have never had a pleasant experience with anyone on their staff and have never been so excited to be done with a school.

If I can give CSN ZERO stars I would. This school is a SCAM! They just charge you for fees and take your money. Worst school I've ever attended. Sub par teachers and customer service. Its like attending elementary school. Any issue I have I was constantly redirected to another department and the problems never gets solved. This school is pure frustration and bad engery. Do yourself BIG favor and listen to the bad reviews because its true! They're online education so confusing, outdated, and just engery draining. Its really is a joke people. CSN is so bad I wouldn't be surprise that its going out of business. When it fails Its good riddance for me. Better for society too because who need a school with poor quality education and service. There's so many better choice for education now. CSN has people venting their anger at them on other websites. Don't go here and save yourself the from a headache. Save yourself the time, engery and money too. I wish I listened to the bad reviews and never attend this crappy school.

I felt compelled to write a review because I am so disappointed in this school. I've been coming here for a few years now, attending part time. Im a 3.7GPA student who gets letters inviting me to join honors societies constantly. Recently, I had a surgery during this semester and was put on strong medication and I also fell and severely sprained my ankle, all with documentation of this and I unfortunately was unable to complete an assignment in one of my classes due to this. I reached out to my teacher letting her know about everything that went on and I have documentation and I would really like to earn some Kind of points for the assignment instead of an F! Because I'm a good student!... well I was told basically sorry oh well you missed the assignment documentation or not I couldn't make it up. I even reached out to the chair of the English department about my concern and she was RUDE her name is Levia Hayes and she does NOT deserve her position. She basically told me you can only either be pregnant or in the military for an excuse. WHAT A JOKE! And that no one can help me and oh well there's nothing they can do. I even asked her how are students to succeed if they don't care about their students? I thought colleges cared about their success rates and cared about their students but clearly not. Even with documentation of reason it sucks to suck. I had a good time with this college up till now. IM SO DISSAPOINTED.. this community college serves students who can't afford high cost education and want to get a degree to better their life but they don't care about their success. LEVIA couldn't even explain to me how this is suppose to help students and explain the success rate because I know every college has one which is probably how they get funding too!

This institution is so far behind the curve when it comes to managing COVID-19. While the state universities have already CLOSED DOWN in-person instruction, this school has only committed to work toward transitioning to off-campus instruction by April 3--18 days away! What is especially troubling is that the school has not taken into account their large population of vulnerable students with conditions that literally make the decision of whether or not to attend class a matter of life and death. My son has Type 1 diabetes. He must make a life and death decision whether to attend class tomorrow as neither his instructors or the school have made any sort of accommodation that would allow him to continue his studies without exposing himself to people who could potentially kill him. If people end up dying because of this schools all together incompetent response to COVID-19, it's leadership will be culpable and will have acted with reckless negligence.

My review is strictly for Professor Eileen Metcalfe. She sent out a general email "welcoming" new students to her class but ended it by saying, "If any of the information in this letter causes you concern, I suggest you drop this class before 11:30 pm on Sunday, August 25th so you can receive a full refund. If you are receiving financial aid be sure to contact that department before dropping. Who ends an email like that? People in college are trying to better themselves and this is very intimidating to those who would have a question but afraid to ask it. I'm not one of them but damn this lady is ruthless. She ends the email saying to contact her with any questions but her previous statement clearly contradicts that and encourages students dropping out if they have concerns.

I had a simple question for the office of registrar that I couldn't get answered. I live about 40 minutes away from the North Las Vegas campus which is why I called. I called several times and all they did was pick up and put me on hold for an 1 hour at a time. Not even asking what I was calling about. Until I finally got a hold of someone and all they told me it was better to come in and ask that SIMPLE question that could be answered within five minutes on the phone. CSN Office of registrar is not reliable at all.

The academic advising and counseling staff at this location is extremely rude. I had an appointment at 2 for a financial aid appeal which I scheduled atleast a week in advance. The lady that my appointment was with could not do appeals so she had to find a counselor to take me. She came and told me one counselor named Mark could take me then Mark decided he can't take me. Mind you this is 20 minutes after the appointment. Then the First Lady came back and found another counselor that can take me and now I've been waiting for 40 minutes. The reception staff in there is super rude. If you do not have customer service skills do NOT get a job where you have to talk to people PERIOD. The lady named Alysa Cooper Academic adviser was so sweet & helpful but in all this was a horrible experience.
