Misdiagnoses. Quoted me $1600 for control arms and axles. Went and got a 2nd opinion. It was only breaks and rotors.

Julio and his crew might be the last honest, hard-working, and fair mechanics left in the city. I came in for a brake inspection after my brakes had started squeaking. After a short inspection Julio told me the sound I was hearing was the front brake pads which had crystallized. He recommended rotor resurfacing on the front axle, and the back axle just some new pads. The work was completed in just a few hours at a very fair price. I will definitely return for any work I need in the future.

We have been going to Julio’s shop for over 10 years and all his mechanics are amazing professionals. We as a family that includes our adult children come to this shop because he is trustworthy, honest and professional and his prices are very reasonable. He always communicates his findings and is fast in getting the job done. He is the best of the best in his field. Thank you Julio for always working hard for us. The owner will definitely bait and switch you.I told him the problem from a prior AC diagnostic and told him the issue.He quoted a price which I was ok with. I came for service and 2 hours later he calls me back to tell me I needed to get another diagnosis which would be an extra fee upwards of $130. This is after he already fixed the Problem! He wanted to act like he didn’t know what was wrong but when I declined the diagnosis he had his mechanic snip a wire.After that I did not trust the place so I stayed to watch what they were doing to my vehicle. When I refused to leave the service area after seeing wires snipped the owner got borderline violent and all up in my face.If a repair was more than initially discussed you let someone know BEFORE you do work to their property. I would have agreed to an extra $130 if he told me upfront. You don’t get to fix it and charge what you want after a quote.This place is dishonest and the owner clearly has an issue with or doesn’t respect African Americans. I am more than sure he would not have got in a white or Hispanic man’s face like he did me. Definitely filing with the BBB and taking him to small claims if anything else is wrong with my car. Luckily I took video of the wire sniping. Do not go to this place they will rip you off if you let them.Service: Air conditioning
