The absolute worst hotel experience I’ve ever had (and there have been some doozies). TWICE, we were given rooms that the cleaning staff had not touched (trash not taken out, beds not made, etc.) These were on an upper floor, so we did a lot of traipsing with our two young grandchildren after a long car ride. I can forgive mistakes like this, but the rudeness of a staff member who scolded ME afterward is INEXCUSABLE. (I did nothing wrong and was polite throughout). I ended up in tears, with my grandchildren comforting me. What a horrible end to a lovely trip. I wrote to top management afterward and got a very appropriate response, promising to deal with the person involved. No idea if this happened, but some of the “feet on the ground” are in dire need of retraining or firing. IF we ever visit Las Vegas again, I won’t be lured by kid-friendly promises and a cheap room.

A quick visit to see this as being a film buff wanted to see where Diamonds are Forever was partly filmed. I was bit underwhelmed by the upper area which is where the family games are but did play the water balloon game as seen in the James Bond film when Jill St John plays it. Other than that the main Casino and Hotel was just ok to look at. I didn’t visit the main show area with the rides and acrobatic acts. Obviously no animals now. If in the area then you might still like it. You can also see the building used in Diamonds for the fictional Willard Whyte building across the road.

This review of CC is for their gaming area and not as a hotel stay. CC is one of the older hotels on the strip. Unfortunately, it seems to be rated a littler lower possibly due to the age. This is unfortunate as it is one of the more family friendly locations in Vegas. The whole circus theme is family oriented. We went here just to okay their games. They have a variety of carnival style games and an arcade with newer and vintage video/arcade games and also some live action games like air hockey. It all runs on a card system like at Dave n Busters. Most of the games are about a dollar. We didn't play any of the carnival games, but we had a good time playing many of the classic games and ate hockey. CC is more expensive than the Pinball Hall of Fame, but CC has a safer family feel and the games are in better physical condition. The restrooms are clean. Unfortunately, the circus acts on the same level only run on the prime business days of Fri-Mon, so we were not able to see these. Overall, if u want a safe, clean, fun place to hang out with ur family in Vegas, then CC is still a great option for an hour or two of fun with a show or carnival or arcade games.

My friend was obsessed with staying here and we couldn't talk her out of it. Overall, the hotel is mostly fine and good if you have kids. I generally think the resort fees are justified. They do have free circus acts (I don't think they are every day so check) which were fun, pool and hot tub (both open in November), waterslides (not open in November) and not free things like a midway and the Adventuredome (about $60/adult). I think kids under 13 would be fine here. The WiFi was included and good - I could do video-conferencing without a problem. The rooms were spacious and the beds were decent but on the small side for a queen. The smoke and odor in the casino area bothered my asthma but the rooms were fine - although one of the rooms we had, you could tell used to be a smoking room which they just painted over the walls instead of stripping them. Food options were really for kids. The healthiest meals were salads or bagels. All other options were burgers, fried chicken, pizza, donuts, french fries, etc. I didn't try the buffet breakfast but one person in my group said it was great and another hated it. Free parking but it can fill quickly on the weekends. No fridge, coffee maker/hotpot, or microwave in the rooms (I think you can rent them). Now for the maintenance issues. This place is run-down. Every room had peeling wall-paper, holes, and marked up walls, although the furniture itself was all ok, except one of our group had to change rooms because the bed was broken. The carpeting in the main areas needs to be replaced. We were in the West Tower (more popular) and the elevators were being replaced so this comment will be temporary (hopefully). The elevators were a significant problem. There are two banks in the West Tower - one goes up to floor 21 and the other goes from floor 22 to top. We were on floors 20 and 24 mostly. Easiest way for us to go between rooms was by the stairs. For the higher level bank, only two of the four elevators were operational during our stay. On top of that the electricity went out and there were no elevators for awhile - folks had to go to floor 21 and walk the rest of the way up. At the busiest time, one of my friends waited about 10 minutes for an elevator. The new one was nice but the old ones tend to shake a lot. The check in line can be very long at times - we arrived at 9:30 pm and there was no line but during the day the line could be an hour at least. Overall, I found the staff generally friendly and helpful. But, on the day we checked out, check-out time is 11 AM and starting at 9:00 AM housekeeping started knocking on the door every 15 minutes. Outside the hotel, it is at the end of the Strip. In the immediate area (5-10 min walk) there is another arcade, a McDonald's, a Denny's, a taco place, the Zouk nightclub, and an indoor gun range/military place.

Circus Circus may not be the flashest on the block but it is honest. I have stayed at the Bellagio (nice on the outside, really cheap behind closed doors) and Resorts World (money grabbing Communists..if they could charge you per paper on toilet roll they would!!!)). Circus Circus is exactly what you pay for. A bit run down ( currently being updated and getting better) but rooms are large and clean. Hotel is geared around children and family fun. One review said they had to pay to get in the adventure done...only if you want to buy an access all rides ticket...entry can be free you just pay for individual rides if you wish. OK it's not to the standard of the Wynn or of MGM but is excellent value for money, especially if you have kids and don't want adult (sexual) issues and extortionate prices. Good, clean family fun. Be a child again and just forget about microwaves and flashy nightclubs and cocktails and enjoy yourselves. We LOVE Circus Circus

The elevators to the skyrise towers do not work. I stayed on 4th floor. It can take up to 30 minutes waiting on elevator- especially if you have an elevator attendant that tends to skip certain floors. In that case you have to take stairs down to 3rd floor elevator. The stairs there do not lead to main floor. The hallways in skyrise tower were dark. Every thing needs to be updated. Supposedly they're working on "remodeling the elevators." That sign looks like it's been there for many years. If you can afford to pay more elsewhere, do it.

We stayed for 1 night (Thursday) after staying at the Venetian for 4 nights (Sunday to Thursday) . The Thursday night Venetian rate was $1, 000 and most others properties in $300 range. So the reviews about the property desperately needing an upgrade are completely accurate. Drop something on the carpet and unless it is worth over $20 you wont pick it up. That said the rate is absolutely the lowest on the strip , the staff are really friendly , the bathroom very clean and beds comfortable. I have to say we had fun at the Midway with lots of different games i.e air hockey, basketball, skeeball plus lots of video games. We also watched two different free acts in the midway and they both were very entertaining. The newest property on the strip the Hilton is right beside Circus Circus so you can easily access the restaurants. We ate at Kusa Nori during Happy Hour and both food and drinks we terrific.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here even people with kids. The hotel is ran down needs to be updated!!! When we got to our room we had no wash cloths, we called down and the receptionist said we could only have 2 per room. In the bathroom the wallpaper was peels off and it looked like someone had hit the wall with a sledgehammer the last day the baseboards was falling off. Not to mention there was no microwave mini fridge or iron and ironing board in the room.

My family and I visited circus circus on a thursday afternoon for the kid friendly events/activities. I did not stay in the hotel and I am so glad we avoided staying in the hotel. Parking is free and easy to navigate and from the parking lot you have to access the Midway arcade/circus acts from the same elevators that the hotel guests use. The elevator area was dirty and the casino looked depressing. I did not see the actually hotel rooms but based on the elevator area and casino I can only imagine that the guest rooms are not too much better. I actually felt like I dodged a bullet by not staying in this hotel. The arcade and circus area is nice and fun for all ages. If you are traveling with children its worth the stop to play and you are guaranteed to win a stuffed animal! The employees were also very nice and helpful. The only down fall in this area is that be warned... the circus acts don't perform on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. We were informed this was a change post Covid, but this is not mentioned on the website. So plan your days accordingly if you want to see the circus acts. The arcade is worth a visit but skip the hotel and casino if you are looking for a good Vegas resort experience. Also the food court is not that great. This classic hotel needs a major renovation if they hope to stay alive and an icon on the strip.

Though a tad better experience this year, this place is really not a nice place especially $140 a night during SEMA. We did get our room cleaned once during our stay.

My complaint is about the lack of communication regarding my security deposit. It's over 2 weeks since we returned and I haven't received it back or had any communication despite numerous emails to them.

Stayed here for 4 nights for When We Were Young this week. This was a horrible experience. We stayed here for the proximity to the festival, fully aware that it is not at all a nice hotel, but it managed to be much worse than expected. The largest problem we had was a chunk of our shower collapsing and shattering in the middle of the night. Obviously this was extremely alarming as we had all been asleep and woke up to a crash, and then in the morning we discovered a shower covered in shattered tile. We called housekeeping to request that they sweep & vacuum so we could shower, but they told us the room had to be put out of service and we were forced to change rooms. This was the morning of the festival, which was of course the entire reason we stayed in this dump, and it made us late getting in because we had to pack up and change rooms before we had access to a shower. The new room also had the shelf that fell already removed so this was a known safety issue that they failed to correct. If this had happened while one of us was in the shower we likely would have ended up in the ER. Additionally, the new room had significant amounts of mold in the shower, and for our entire stay the elevators didn't work properly and there was no housekeeping. At check out we asked to discuss this with a manager and Pelaya was extremely rude to us, totally dismissive, literally didn't even say "we're sorry that happened". We ended up finding another manager, who at least spoke with a polite tone, but only offered us two nights discount on the resort fee, which barely even covers our property that was damaged in the shower. We plan to go back annually for the festival but will opt to stay further away and walk rather than risk the Circus Circus again. This put a huge damper on our festival day and wasn't worth the convenience.
