Always busy! There's coffee and food. You can get a bank card and student OD on the first floor amd there's rooms that can be used by the clubs upstairs. Also, free booklets and scantrons! A life saver!!!

Yelp Review 2023 #234:This review took 6 years to finish. When I was still going to UNLV, I must have had some not-so-pleasant experiences at the Student Union because I originally drafted a 3-star review. Now, that I've graduated and haven't set foot at this place in years, I have more appreciation for the Student Union. A lot of things you need as a student are here: food, coffee, ATM, mailing services, student ID, etc. and the bookstore is just a few steps away. There's a game room that I've never checked out. It's coming back to me now...this place is super crowded from 10am-3pm. People just lounging, some people getting something to eat/ drink, and some studying. The food outlets they have change every few years and offer quite a variety for students (and faculty). I survived on SoHo's sushi bowl. Other food outlets include (that I didn't get anything from in the 3-4 years I was here): Taco Bell, Steak n Shake, Jamba Juice, Panda Express, Subway, and a healthier option that I can't remember the name of...Greens to Go (I think?).Whatever it is that annoyed me about this place is all a blur. Let's compare other public colleges/ universities in Las Vegas - I've taken classes at CSN (different campuses), and Nevada State and none of them have a Student Union that has the amenities we have at UNLV. The small parking lot in front of the building is very limited, always full, handicap spots or metered. I had a freezer bag full of quarters in my car just in case I was desperate enough to park here.

I took my daughter here for new student orientation. I graduated from UNLV in 2011, so I'm a little familiar with the campus. The Student Union is spacious and comfortable. Lots of classrooms, or meeting rooms. Food court and Starbucks. I was disappointed to see a lot of homeless ppl roaming about, or just loitering without consequence.

Great staff & restaurants, but too many homeless people in the evening. They sleep, stare at students, and pick through food court trash. Verbal interactions can be confrontational.Similar homeless problem at the library, but it gets better after 6pm with Rebel Hours. HUGE decline safety since my undergrad, please bring back security patrols.

Unfortunately UNLV has not been able to get a handle on the homeless problem. Why is tuition so high and security so low? Just got another report of an assault on campus.

The staff and students are helpful and pleasant. Wish when I went to school I had all these great choices.

Place has a huge homeless problem now. Rates of assault have been increasing and honestly a lot of students are talking about how they feel less safe on campus because of it.
