As far as banks/credit unions go, I appreciate these guys. I've done banking with bank of (death by fees). These people are true locals and take care of all of the things Car loans were super easy and better rates than the other guys. In branch everyone is super efficient and friendly. I love that they have a coin machine which is free for members. Just dump in the jug and deposit right to checking. It even spit out the buttons and car wash tokens. High fives and thank you to everyone

DO NOT BANK WITH ANY OF THESE BANKS. They will make things so difficult for your loved ones to close out your account if you should pass away. I have been trying for 5 months to get in touch with the 1 person “Sofia” in special accounts who never is in her office. While the tellers in the branches are nice and helpful they can only do so much. Especially when you have this “Sofia” who refuses to do her job. It shouldn’t be this difficult to close out an account when a family member passes away unexpectedly and it certainly shouldn’t be made harder by a banking institution that hires people who refuse to do their job. I have been into the bank at least 4 times to provide death certificates and orders from a judge and still months later we are waiting on “Sofia” who never answers her phone. Even customer service can’t get a hold of her. Do your family a courtesy and make their mourning a bit less stressful and don’t bank with this establishment.

I just went to make a deposit at 1 of only 2 locations open on a Saturday. They have always been open til 2pm. I arrived at 1:30 to locked doors and a little taped on piece of paper hand written "1pm" over the 2pm lettering on the door.. So inconsiderate and inconvenient for members..

I am extremely disappointed that Silver State Schools Credit Union stopped using Card Force. I can no longer control different aspects of my debit card, like prohibiting online purchases, but can only turn the whole card off or report lost or stolen. This was an important ability to me and now I may need to find another bank even though I have been with SSSFU for over 30 years. Very poor judgment in my opinion.

Been in 3 lines & still.unable to deposit my $$ @ this location. First outdoor ATM down. Go inside & 4 people in front of me. 20 minutes & teller puts up a sign that says be right back. Now I'm in drive through line. Really. The Durango location the people sitting @ desks take customers when all this is going on. The lady @ dedk paid us no mind

DO NOT GO TO THIS BANK!!!!!!! I went to their drive through ATM to get money out, I received a message saying to contact my institution. I tried 4 times and I still got the same message, so I call the bank who stated that I should be able to take money out of my account with no problem. I asked the teller if the money was taken out of my account and she said no, I tried again and still got the same message so I just left. I woke up the next morning with my account negative -$500. I called the bank back they said that the ATM reads it gave me the money, I told them to check their cameras and it will show I never got any money. I have not heard anything at this point and I am so angry that they stole $500 from me.

I recently tried to transfer money to another account via the popmoney service offered by the credit union. I attempted to use it. it has been seven days and the money has not yet been received by the other party. The other party is registered to receive money on popmoney. Unbeknownst to me the credit union will send a text to the recipient and they must log on to the popmoney website to complete an entire profile. takes over an hour to complete because of the complications they make to enroll. I prefer to use Zelle with all other lenders as your money will be transferred to the other account within 30 minutes. The credit union said that if after 10 days it has not been cashed by the other party I will get my funds back.

This bank is awful!! My account has been compromised almost 5 times since I've been with them. Just this Friday money was taken out. Why do they offer card drive if it doesn't work. I went in and they gave me a new card but didn't put my money back that was stolen. So what use is a new card if I have no money. I know they got hacked!! And it was a Friday! They are not open on the weekends. But yet they took out a privilege fee from my account which put it more in the negative and they let someone take a international fee out of my account. I haven't left the states!!! Because I have NO money!!! This is a really bad bank!!! There is no customer service on the weekends to help!! So if something happens we are all S.O.L!!! Until the weekday!! Your card force is awful why even have it!! Your service sucks!! Or lack of!!!

I have been with the credit union for approximately 30 years. Recently, I have noticed a decline in customer service. Last time I was in the credit union on Rainbow, some of the tellers were laughing and appeared to be making fun of customers. Today, the employee that assisted me was inattentive. This was never the case in the past.

I had a very similar experience as other reviewers. I have a car loan and went into the Rainbow branch to cash a check from a very reputable law firm. The manager said I could not cash the check because I had not used my account there often enough. My paychecks go into another bank and I was never told they would not be able to cash a check at good old silver state. The Rainbow manage is awful. no wonder they have had to close 3 branches. They have bad customer service and a horrible website. Bad manager at Rainbow. Get rid of her.

Have a family account with them for many years. Go in to cash a check and was told by the clerk i was a NON Member. Then proceeded to tell me how they dont help NON Members and yes get this.. People of my race. I immediately asked for the manager. What did she tell me. The SAME EXACT THING!

I would like to give them a zero but can't. They will not help you if you need to stop payment on pending charges from a fraudulent company. They talk down to you if you have a problem and are not friendly at all. Avoid this bank if possible.
