I bank at another credit union, & SS is a co op bank for us, but they only let us use their walk up atm…we can’t use the drive thru, nor can we make transactions inside the branch. The problem is the depositor is down on the atm so we can’t make deposits , & it’s been 2 -21/2weeks now …how long does it take to fix this machine??And why can you do everything else on the atm, except make deposits? That seems odd to me?? You would think your bank would offer us to be able to make deposits inside the branch until this is taken care of, but you don’t, so for that , you get 1 star!!Then I went inside the branch & asked what it took to become a member, bc I would just deposit my $4,000 in your bank, & she asked if I were a teacher , EMS worker , a firefighter, or was I still in school, & I said no to all. She said the only other way would be to do a 1 time donation to PBS tv for $65 & I said no thank you & walked out w my $4,000 & will never go back to that bank ever!!!Gougers….????

been with them since I was 14 years old when my grandmother opened me an account. I promise you they're awesome! everyone on here complaining about overdraft fees is pathetic. that's your fault not theirs!

3 reasons why I gave a 1 star rating . I don't bank here & never will now! Today is September 11th, & this is my 3rd visit in the past week & 1/2 trying to make a deposit at your atm & it's still down...how long does it take to fix this?? Terrible service considering this is the only way I'm allowed to do any banking here bc your a co-op bank w mountain America credit union who I bank with, but we can't use your drive thru, nor can we make deposits inside the branch which is ridiculous! If your gonna be a co op bank, then why can't we use your bank other than just the atm outside ? So I go inside the branch to find out what's going on w the atm ...that you can do everything but make a deposit. She said yes, the depositor was down but that someone was coming out to fix it, & that was a week & 1/2 ago! So here I am this morning on 9/11 still trying to make a deposit, & machine is still down!! So I go inside the branch & ask what it takes to join their credit union , bc I'm carrying around $4,000 that I need to get into a bank & the lady said if you are a teacher, a firefighter, or ems worker, or still in school it would be free to join, I said none apply to me, she said the only other way would be to donate a 1 time fee of $65 to PBS tv, & I said what?? I tell her never mind, & walked out! I had $4,000 that I was ready to deposit, bc I asked her what the rates were on her CD's & she told me 4% & I was good w that, but bc they seemed so greedy for you to join their bank, I took my $4,000 , said no thanks , & walked out their door! I WOULD NEVER JOIN THIS CREDIT UNION JUST BC THEY SHOWED ME WHO THEY WERE.... GOUGERS!! Now I'll take my business elsewhere, bc I'm tired of coming to your branch & the depositor is still down & tired of wasting my time, so I warn you people...dont bank here, find another bank !! Mountain America credit union has moved on the other side of town which makes it very inconvenient for me since I live in Summerlin , & there were 2 co op banks that I could use, now down to one which is this one, bc they don't co op w credit union 1 anymore, so my only option is here at SSSCU. No thank you ...I will find another credit union today so I can get this money off me that I've been carrying around !! This has been so inconvenient for me, but I've been w MACU for 20 years & have an excellent history banking w them! Hopefully I can find another credit union today that I'm happy with!! Out of their 30 reviews, they only have about 5 good ones, the rest are 1 star ratings ! DO NOT BANK AT SILVERSTAR CREDIT UNION @ CIMMARON/FLAMINGO!! FIX YOUR ATM ALREADY...GEEZ LOUISE!!

I was going to open and account here but after reading these reviews I would have to be crazy sorry all you ladies and gentlemen have to deal with these people but I thank you for letting me know now I don't have to I will go down the street don't know if it will help but you can always let the better business bureau know about what you've been thru thanks again and goodbye. You can’t even payoff loan over the phone. They add fees to pay vehicle payments. It’s a pathetic hassle just go for the next best loan place you will thank me later. Way to much hassle

This CU are a bunch of crooks. Nissan used them to finance my new car. Two weeks later, SSSCU calls me to tell me that the dealership put down the wrong payoff amount on my old car and that I owed $2k more, which would be added to the new loan and change my agreed to payment. Long story short, the employee at SSSCU pulled the correct amount, but misquoted it over the phone. They even reviewed the call to see it was their employee's error. They refused to take responsibility for the error and I had to sign to a payment of $30 more per month. Shady business with no accountability. Consumers will be punished for their failure to follow their own protocol. I will be shopping a refi out of this scam of a company.

I re-financed a vehicle through them and was able to pay it off in full in April this year. I have still not received my title. It has been 5 months now without receiving it and they continue to make excuses as to why I have not received it. They need to figure this out because this is unacceptable. I will not finance a vehicle through them again.

Horrible customer service! The employees don't know what's going on. We have a car loan through silver state and every single time we come to this location there is an issue. Today some woman said that I cannot pay my car payment through the drive through even though I have been paying using the drive through for the past 4 years! I have children with me always and I cannot leave them in the car alone in the parking lot. She was very rude and treated me like a criminal rather than a customer. The other locations are so much better than this one. I won't be going to this location again!

i was just at this location about 40 minutes ago there was a very rude ass woman in the drive through wasn't tryna let me pay for my own car bill. ? i had all my kids with me. my 1month old baby was screaming her head off in the backseat and this rude and unprofessional woman sat there and argued with me saying i can't pay my loan at the drive through when i ALWAYS do that. every single time i come to pay they always let me go through drive through. she was NOT trying to let me pay i was literally about to just tell her to give me my shit back and i'll go to another location. horrible customer service. never coming back

I will not air the details of this credit union and their issues in court. But after a mortgage loan with them, I currently have, it has been more than one can take. Mine is fixed, and the person who did the loan is gone. Escrow amount was less than hundred, and they knew it was not right, but continued to only take what the loan was written for. This went on for over a year, and then I get a letter stating I had to make the difference up. Well now the escrow amount will be a thousand soon, and they continue to add this amount, stating it is because your taxes and insurance have increased. Now when I add up the amount they take out for escrow times, that by 12 and substract the insurance payment and the tax payment, I have money left over. I ask them, where does that money go plus the extra money I had to pay to make up the negative you stated I had? No one can give me a straight answer. Now I am being told the review of the escrow is done in May. So how can you start the year off almost in the middle of the year? Furthermore, my loan started at the end of the year, which was in December. So why do an analysis in May, why not in December?

Very helpful and joyful staff. I enjoy doing business with them other than other costumer disservice departments at major banks. Silver state is much faster and less wait time than other bigger name banks.
