I wish I could give zero stars. I made an account just to share my experience. I was enrolled in the Driver's Education course and was unfortunate enough to get Kathy Kelly (the owners wife) as my teacher. The first red flag was asking a room full of minors how many dead bodies they've seen. She is very opinionated on politics and talks about it just as much as driving training. Shes very lazy veering off on charged rants and somethimes just leaving to gossip with the secretary during class hours (we spent an hour just sitting around while she yapped in the other room). This was advertised as a slow learners class but when I asked her to slow down she told me to not hold up the class and then when I asked again she threatened to send me home. She is old and forgetful, constantly backtracking and "wait no actually" on different driving rules. I would strongly steer anyone away from this in fear Kathy is their teacher. I doubt she has a driver education license and is only here because she is the owners wife.

A friendly school, with instructors who are rooting for your success. A professional establishment that push their students to do well. The activities that are given are straightforward and very good to learn the laws and procedures of the roads.This establishment is perfect for a friendly, respectful, and peaceful environment and community.

The lady with the many piercings was unclear with her directions. She said to pull up to the dotted line and then marked down for not pulling past the line. She was more in a hurry to get the diving test done than to conduct it properly. Not one cone was hit and still failed the driving test in 5 minutes, and never even made it out of the parking lot. She was unrealistic with her expectations. You aren't supposed to be a mind reader or an expert driver for a road-ready test for a driver's license. My son has already been driving for 2 years and just needed to become a legal driver now that he's 18.

My daughter took lessons here. By far the worst. They are rude and on one of her lessons while she was driving the trainer yelled at her twice. So loud to the point it made her cry. Would NOT recommend!

Im very happy to learn how to drive with lynn. Shes been very patience, calm and teaching me very well. Im very comfortable with her. I didnt know how to drive at all and im from different country. Im so happy to learn from this driving school i got 10hrs class, I have 3 classes already but i learned a lot behind the wheel. 2 more to go before my driving test! Hopefully i will pass my driving test next month. ??I recommend this school of driving.

Went from zero driving experience to passing the road test first try with a couple of lessons with Jamie. I took my test with Cory and both gave great tips. Great lessons for any level of experience or nervousness

Great school, great service..got my kids licensed. Office staff was very friendly and accommodating to my wants and needs..the instructor Corey was fantastic. Highly recommend this school. We have tried other schools but was very unsaturated with their results. Save your money going any where else. Safeway is the real deal. Also, their prices were good, I noticed they didn't price gouge like the other schools I've used. If I could give the 10 starts I would.

Did one their behind-the-wheel options a year ago and Jayne Brooksbank was the instructor. Instructor was slightly rude when I would ask for confirmation of her directions (as a new, nervous driver this did not really help my confidence) and if I made a mistake she would make comments such as "are you dyslexic because I think you are". Would also constantly need to stop for bathroom breaks, by the office, and grabbing coffee. However, her feedback was good and highlighted my problem areas.

Excellent teacher. Very patient and knowledgeable. Our instructor even helped correct some early adapted bad driving habit and misconceptions about safety. I'm giving four stars instead of five stars, because the instructors car could have been a little cleaner. Other than that.... We highly recommend this school!!!

Thanks to Corey Avis, and I highly recommend Safeway Driving School. When it comes to language issues, as English is not my first language, he always has a way to make me understand my issues, such as demonstration teaching, such as driving to a roundabout, or showing me special traffic rules, teaching in a way that is easy to remember and understand.I once had an instructor who barked at me during practice sessions before this school. As a result, I, who used to drive, became unable to operate the vehicle. So I switched to Safeway Driving School, met the most helpful instructor Corey, and got my license in one test. There is so much to consider when choosing a school and an instructor.

Definitely would not recommend. Highly disorganized, very poor customer service, and when important email communications were missed, I was actually told that they don’t check emails. The 1 star yelp reviews are sadly quite accurate. I would not use this company again.

Kathy and Kelly The owners of Safeway driving school were extremely accommodating to my son who has some developmental delays. They worked with his school schedule and helped him find the perfect driving instructor to help make learning to drive easier. They go above and beyond to meet the needs of their students. They are a quality business.

Kathy is very rude I called to ask about driving lessons on my first call she told me they don't offer manual transmission lessons I thanked her and said ok.I received a call from her later but because I was calling around different schools I didn't remember we had already spoken so I asked the same question.She responded very rude to me when she was the one that called me.Totally unacceptable treat people with respect!!!Do not use this place Iam sure there are a lot more other schools with pleasant people.

Ms. Kathy really helped me out!I completed the Driver’s Ed course the weekend before my permit test. I passed with only one wrong. The way the course is set up really makes you grasp the information and stick with it. Ms. Kathy is very encouraging and just makes the whole learning experience 10x better. I highly recommend Safeway to anyone who is going to take their permit or driver’s test
