The best hotel I've stayed in so far, they planned to change the whole hotel design and quality. the check in was fast, and one employee was kind enough to take us to the VIP check-in lounge. The hallways on the Ipanema tower to get to our room were not smelly, they were looking very new, and once we got in our room, it was like a small penthouse. Due to the golden faucets, the new 65 inch tv, couch that can turn into a bed and 2 regular beds with a decent view of the strip. Best hotel for me. Since the renovations, the rio vibes are coming back!

From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome by familiar faces. Your personal assurance during our first conversation, where you promised to take care of everything, left me beyond impressed. It's clear to see the positive transformation the Rio Hotel has undergone, especially after the rollercoaster of management changes over the last four years. All our VIPs were impressed with the hotel's new facelift and the management's improvement. Although I only directly handle 10-15 VIPs, their influence extends to 300-350 guests staying at the Rio Hotel. Your efforts have made a significant impact. Recently had a horrible experience at the Rio. I booked a tower spa suite 4 months in advance, to host an event. I checked daily leading up to check-in, to ensure the suite I booked was available because it was a sold out weekend. The day I was due to check-in, I checked with the front desk multiple times, and each time, the room was not ready, and they kept delaying me. Mind you, I had to stand in a huge line just to be turned away each time. At 4pm, which is the normal check in time, I was told the room was still not ready, and I could wait until 5pm, or take an identical room on a lower floor. So I agreed to take the lower floor, and the lady told me she would give me a discount for the room not being ready. I gathered all my luggage, and went to the lower floor suite (in the Masquerade tower, which is FAR). The room was tiny for a suite; Not the 2,000 sq ft suite I had booked. And much of the furniture seemed to be missing. I think the bathroom was bigger than the living room area, so a lot of unusable space if you're trying to host a party. I called downstairs and was told my original 2,000 sq ft room was still available. So made the trek back to the front desk, and was directed to the Manager. I told her I was willing to wait until 5 and they could have their discount back, as originally planned. After a lot of arguing, she finally admitted that original room was out of order, and there were no more 2,000 sq ft suites left, and I had been "downgraded" and given a cheaper rate. She admitted that the front desk personnel had given me bad information when she told me the rooms were identical, but there was nothing else I could do. I had no choice but to cram all my guests in the smaller suite. They sent up additional seating and a couple small tables, but it was still a tight squeeze for my event. Not to mention that the HALF the elevators for the Masquerade tower were out of order, and one was dedicated to the 50th/51st floor for some reason. so there was literally ONE elevator for any floor over 22, and the wait to get up to the room was 30 MINUTES! The line was at least 50 people long. The Rio is so run down, someone needs to put it out of its misery. There are renovating, but they've been saying that for YEARS.

We recently stayed at the RIO for 2 nights. Let me do this pros/cons style: PROS... Check in was super easy with the app. The parking garage is very convenient. The casino is clean and has plenty of restaurants and shops. Our room was spotless and spacious. Our rate was very good. And parking was free. CONS... The twisty roads all around the hotel make it confusing to find your way at first. The elevator system is ridiculous. Different elevators to different levels- you have to go down to go up. Some restaurants change their hours on different days, making it difficult to plan meals/snacks. The decor of the room is very dated. Not a big deal since the room is so clean. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but some inconveniences hindered us. Minor things overall.

Rebranded away from ceasers, still same rooms, definitely not renovated (I think they claimed 2023 when I booked it, but rooms look the same from decades ago). Came twice recently, both times hot water did not work and they dont care. Thought first time was a fluke. Guess not. I'm scared to try a third time. Thought the location was nice, however if you plan on walking to the palms it's somehow a pain even though it's right there. Its a very busy intersection where each time drivers almost turned into us. Then there's homeless in the area.

rooms smell like 40 years of smoke and neglect. the elevators not working...expect 10 to 45 minutes waiting for access to floors. servic in the hotel is lacking any enthusiasm. way over priced and hyped for the dollars.

Unfortunately the Rio hotel got us real good. We're hosting our annual race at the Rio. We were told that the rooms would be renovated by race day but instead we received poorly maintained rooms. No hot water until the next day, calcium buildup on all the faucets, except the brass one which contained green mold, wood furniture was poorly conditioned, wall paper coming off the walls, damaged walls in the bedroom; instead of fixing them, they covered them up with wall paper. The carpet and sitting furniture is outdated and excessively worn. Not to mention, 2 of the masquerade tower elevators, do not work, the main bar and cafe is closed. Only 2 restaurants are available for thousands that will come to our event.

I've never encountered such dreadful "suites" before. From the entrance to the bedrooms and everything in between, it's all incredibly disappointing. We reserved a hotel suite with an adjoining room for the Baker 2 Vegas Marathon, but unfortunately, we're stuck in this unsightly place until Monday. We even went back to the check-in counter to ask for a different room, only to be given another suite with the same issues. The couch in the living room is disgustingly dirty, with feathers poking out of it, and the material on the side chairs is even worse. The drapes are filthy, and the bathtub and shower look like they haven't been updated since the 1960s. We're so unsettled that we're not even unpacking; we'll spend the entire trip living out of our suitcases. Rio should be embarrassed about this mess. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here. Trust me these rooms don't deserve a rating but I had to select something in order to close and post.

staying here now in a newly renovated room. don't expect a new hotel or for the service to be better than before. I've called three times to get pillows for the pullout and nothing. first time, they brought me wash cloths instead of pillows. AC is super noisy as well.

I stayed at the Rio Hotel & casino for one night on President's Day weekend 2024. I found a nice deal online on Hotels.com and quickly booked it. It was a nice stay after picking up NV for my 2nd round 50 states marathon quest. I love the Rio hotel & casino. The room rates are pretty good and they have the Indian restaurant that I've been to at least twice when I'm in Las Vegas. I booked this hotel on Hotels.com maybe two months before departure and they have good photos on there. I arrived here at around 1:30pm after grabbing lunch nearby. Feeling a little tired so I just wanted to try to check in a little early. To my surprise, the staff at the Rio hotel checked me in early and that was great! The service was good and friendly while being professional too. The Rio hotel is quite large and has at least two different towers dedicated to guest rooms. I ended up at the Masquerade tower for my most recent stay. It was not hard to navigate around the hotel lobby, especially when there are a lot of gaming machines and other amenities for guests and other things for everyone to enjoy while on property. There was also signage for anyone to point in the right direction. I feel like this property was a good for the price. Doesn't have to be fancy or on The Strip to be good or memoriable. Just need a cheap place to sleep and enjoy Las Vegas while being a budget friendly traveler. Majority of my stay was basically in the hotel room, since I was here to relax and enjoy the 2nd half of my vacation in Las Vegas. I ended up going to the Indian restaurant on property and the next morning, going to the Starbucks before heading out into the world. I feel Rio is a typical Las Vegas casino with standard rooms but the ambiance is nice and typical. I know I did during my stay here. The overall experience here at the Rio hotel & casino here in Las Vegas was as typical as you'd get anywhere else in a major city or town. The vibe of the hotel and the casino on the 1st floor adds some excitement but at the end of the day, I just needed an affordable place to crash in Las Vegas. The check in process was great as they gave me early check in at 1:30pm. The check out process was interesting, since I waited in line for a front desk person, as was a bunch of people for 10 minutes. After 5 minutes of waiting, one of them told the crowd that if you're just checking out, leave your room key on the counter. And so, one thing lead to another and I just dropped my room key amongst a pile of other keys. What an interesting start to that Monday for sure. The room itself was quite standard and typical. They assigned me to a room with 2 beds, which was cool. Slept in one of them and that was it. The room was functional and nice, along with a couch too. Everything in the room worked and it was pleasant. For the most part though, it was an enjoyable stay here at the Rio and it was nice to be back in Las Vegas. If you are one of those budget traveler people and want a good deal, consider coming to the Rio Hotel & casino. Definitely recommended. The Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is physically located at 3700 W Flamingo Road. It's not on The Strip, which probably makes it a little bit cheaper and more economical for the traveler. Like many hotels in the industry, they accept major credit cards and usually people book directly thru the hotel's website or thru 3rd party sites, which generally needs credit card payment anyway. I came and went using Uber, so that's probably the better way to get around if you're a tourist. As far as parking goes, there's plenty of parking here for those of y'all who rent a car or have your own car while in Las Vegas within the Rio Hotel & casino parking lot areas. Not sure about the Las Vegas metro public transportation system, but best bet would be to use google and see what routes you would need to get yourself from the airport to the hotel, or wherever your starting point is. I didn't gamble during this trip to Las Vegas, which is disappointing.

Great deals at RIO these days. Bargains here for Vegas. Inexpensive. Extremely spacious rooms and convenient location. They still have lots of ongoing constructions happening, so it does get loud at times here. Fast hot water shower. 5/5 stars rating for the newly renovated rooms at Ipanema Tower. Highly recommended for the great experience here. 4/5 stars rating for the old existing rooms at Masquerade Tower. Yes, old tubs, but still spacious rooms. Great views available. Both type rooms have mini refrigerator included. Well stocked with good bathroom soaps, towels, shampoo/conditioner, body creams, etc. I really liked the NEST New York brand stuff. Good closet size too. Their Conair 1875 hair dryer in new room was excellent. As a previous Caesars Palace member, you get complimentary room deals for free. Not bad if paying under total $45-$60 per night with Internet access/hotel taxes & fees included in price. Foods, gaming, and game selections are wide. Food court is convenient. KJ dim sum is a must try. Overall experience was a 4/5. Excellent front desk customer service, but slow at times with long lines, especially when kiosks don't work. Yes, very slow checking in and out sometimes. Very common here, especially with old technology and old integrations of database. Definitely try to get in line early, in case kiosks doesn't work. Lines are long. RIO rewards membership customer service was surprisingly helpful and excellent. I only have great things to say about the staffs and representatives at membership desk. Great people. Public parking garage was an easy walking distance. Not far! Looks entertaining and fun inside. Roulette games are our favorites. We will be revisiting in future if more deals are available. They really made improvements at RIO over the years. Most people would rate 3/5 if staying at the older rooms with older carpets. My rating is for the overall convenience experience and location packed with fun. Definitely go for the newer rooms if you can. By the way, the Guy Fieri happy hour dinner operation of the Mexican-American restaurant/bar was delicious downstairs.

I booked Rio on a Wednesday for that same Friday. They said their rooms were renovated but this was my first time staying in this hotel and I was impressed with what was offered. I have been to the hotel before for chippendales and the Show in the Sky when that was still a thing. The customer service at check in was spectacular, I unfortunately didn't have the funds to cover both the resort fee and the accidental hold so they adjusted it to where my card wouldn't decline. The room was clean, better than I expected it to be. The only cons of the room in my opinion was the A/C heater unit would bang and was loud when it clicked on which disturbed my sleep, the ceiling in the shower area was distorted but that is only expected in shower areas over time. My personal preference is I wish that the vanity lighting was placed over the vanity as well instead of just the sinks and that there was a closet towel rack to the shower but made it work. Every hotel room has quirks but I was pleasant with my room.

The renovated rooms are great, hotel is getting busier. Staff is nice. Restaurant choices are fine but very expensive to what they serve. I wish the real buffet was back they had good prices and great variety of food.

This was our first time going to Rio. From our hotel view at Aria, this hotel exterior look modern therefore we decided to go and check it out. The only plus I saw was that they offer free parking. As we walked inside, we noticed this place is so outdated. We were told that Rio was sold to Caesar casino in the past and resold to their current owner Rio sometimes this past fall. There is still a lot of updating that needs to be done. There were not a lot of people here. There is putt putt here if you are interested. Otherwise it just too outdated to me. Maybe it will be better after renovations.
