This store is great. I always really have wonderful service here. But tonight I experienced much more. I regret not getting the names of the 2 people that helped me tonight. I was running late (no excuses on my end) I called 8:55 pm knowing they close at 9pm. I was literally 5 away. the gentleman that answered the phone was kind and just let me know not to worry they would have my order. As I pulled up this nice young lady was literally waiting for me I can’t thank you guys enough! Thanks to Petco for hiring people like this.

I waited 20 plus minutes for 10 feeder fish while slow staff ignored repeated request for assistance. Not good Petco. Small request exorbitant wait time in store with minimal customers.

I can’t. I just can’t. Let me start by saying I’m an adept bird owner and I’ve owned birds for quite a while now. Those poor parakeets have mangled tail feathers that were curved and broken. Don’t even get me started on the cockatiels. They were all on the bottom of the cage, with damaged crests and they had no energy. Barely had perches for their size of feet. I sincerely hope this is addressed as this is not adequate living conditions for birds.

PetCo NEVER has all the items I need in stock at the store. NOT ONCE have I ever left with 100% of things I have come in to shop for…EVER.

Sadly this store does not care for its fish properly. They have an extensive adoption system to buy and maintain a fish but god forbid they follow the same standards. I have gotten several fish now and will not be purchasing anymore. 3 died from fin rot before the week of purchase was out, the one that survived pregnant had multiple babies so small luck but just more unexpected happenings I thought it was my fault they got fin rot so I reset my entire system bought a better filter and everything tryd again got a betta it’s been two days his fins are almost completely disintegrated ive been treating him but he will die his fins are to far gone in the store his bowl was bad looking but I just figured maybe they don’t change the water that day which is still bad Stagnant water kills fish. I’m honestly very upset they are “just fish” but these are companions and friends to people and it’s incredibly disheartening $$500 I have spent to maintain “dead fish swimming”
I posted this review this morning on tuesday the 20th of February by the time my shift ended today 9pm I came home to my betta unable to swim he was alive but just floating I had to sadly put him down so he would not suffer any longer. I am completely heart broken.

to be honest i never write reviews, but today changed that ? alyssa is a wonderful employee there who is VERY knowledgeable and kind! she was able to thoroughly help me with a pet i had purchased once it had fallen ill during the 30 day period. she made me feel very comfortable in the whole exchanging process and reassured me when i had any questions or concerns. personally, i struggle with standing my ground on what making my own decisions when people say otherwise, but she was able to answer and fulfill any and all concerns i had. i honestly cannot thank her enough for the help i have gotten with her, we love alyssa
