Dr. Hwang is amazing. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AS A 1st choice. For some reason my insurance sent me else where, where the experience was highly stressful for me as a first time mom and my family. The day of the circumcision we were told that the procedure could not be done and that the baby needed surgery, we did not at all understand the explanation that we were given it was rushed & vague. We were given a date that the baby has to come back for surgery (@ 3 months old when he can apparently handle anesthesia better) and sent on our way. That situation led me to search for a second opinion which is how we came across Dr. Hwang. Dr. Hwang has time for all of your questions, he asses the baby before the date of circumcision, he will take much more simple measures before jumping straight into suggesting surgery for your newborn baby. Dr. Hwang prescribed us an ointment to use for 2 weeks we came back for an assessment and he was able to do the circumcision without putting my baby under! Dr. Hwang is the way to go with all that being said the circumcision is complete it looks great, my baby didn't cry, the affinity surgery center is clean, the staff there was great. As a mohel who performs ritual circumcision, I can attest to the professionalism and expertise of Dr. Hwang. Whenever I have a case of a child that needs more than just a circumcision, and needs a surgery like for hypospadias etc. I am always confident to refer them to Dr. Hwang. I have watched him perform surgeries, and he is very skilled, precise and professional. He is very caring to all his patients and their families, always making sure they feel confident and secure with any procedures that need to take place.Also, his office staff are very caring, and accommodating for all. I've been there many times assisting different families, and it has always been an amazing experience.I highly recommend Dr. Hwang and his practice.

So far I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Hwang and his staff. His staff has communicated well through the text option, and one time I sent a text on a Sunday about some concerns I had about my son, just to have it sent sooner & so I didn’t have to worry about it Monday morning.I really was not expecting a response over the weekend and was okay waiting until Monday. Well to my surprise, Dr. Hwang himself responded to my text on a Sunday night! It meant a lot to me that he took the time to go over my concerns that night, when I’m sure most would want to relax on their night off before the work week, especially a surgeon!He always explains things clearly and I feel like he genuinely cares that not only his young patients feel comfortable, but so do the parents. I never once felt like with all the questions I had that I was a burden or felt rushed or dismissed by him or his staff.Seeing that some reviews are bad based off of issues with payment and insurance were a bit disheartening, because I truly felt so comfortable and my mind at ease with my son’s surgery being performed by Dr. Hwang, that I feel it is a bit unfair ratings for him are lower than what I feel he deserves.So far I haven’t had any issues with my insurance, and that was clarified before the surgery was booked. If insurance/payment is not an issue for you, then in my opinion, Dr. Hwang is the doctor to go to for his expertise.

Best staff ever for a business. You will be treated with kindness and compassion. Very understanding to your needs and willing to go out of the way to help. Take it from me as a client I am 100 percent satisfied. Thank you laser away ( town center location)

Terrible experience with the billing department here. Majesta from their billing department has been giving me the run around; not answering phone calls, making me call my insurance to get information, having a full mailbox, etc. for almost 5 months now. My son was circumcised in December which we paid for upfront. Then when insurance paid out because it was covered they wouldn't send us a reimbursement check. It's been months and hours of phone calls back and forth and it's not even worth the 500 bucks or whatever but now I'm just mad at how the office has handled everything and don't want them collecting money from patients and their insurance. I'm sure this has happened to many other people that didn't have time to hassle them like I have. They need to get it together.Besides this Dr. Andrew Whang used the plastibell for the circumcision and put too small of a cap and it had to be cut off early because it was slipping down and cutting off circulation. Terrible experience all around.

Waited for over an hour after our appointment time to be seen. Receptionist was incredibly rude and on her phone the whole time I was trying to talk to her. Seemed really annoyed everytime I checked on how long it would be

Dr. Hwang is a good doctor and our son's procedure went well back in 2018 with positive results so far. But be cautious with the billing and their procedure center. They talked us into having the procedure done at an out of network surgery center that Dr. Hwang is part owner of. They told us we would be charged as in network with our insurance (Aetna) so it didn't matter if we went there or to Summerlin Hospital, which is in-network. Since it appeared that it didn't make a difference and I was repeatedly told that I wouldn't be charged any more than if I went to Summerlin Hospital as in-network, I agreed. Only to find out that even though I got the in-network rate, I was still charged for the center as out of network on my insurance EOB so they applied that entire $2000.00 bill to my out of network deductible and then applied the separate $1850.00 fee for Dr. Hwang to my in-network deductible. Therefore I had to pay nearly twice as much since both deductibles were brand new and I had to cover 2 different deductibles! Plus we had to pay for the anesthesiologist. I paid nearly $5,000.00 for a circumcision that normally only costs a couple hundred dollars when it is done at birth. I am just now getting this bill from Dr. Hwang 1.5 years after the surgery. We received the procedure center and anesthesiologist bill right away so I thought that was it. But now I'm receiving another bill for almost $2000.00.

Let me start this review by saying that Dr. Hwang is a great doctor. We had a good experience, interactions and visits with him. However, like other reviews have mentioned his front office/billing is extremely horrible.We started consulting with his office on April of 2019 thru a referral from our Pediatrician. We had a procedure done with our Son and everything went well - Until it was time for billing. We received a call from “Buffy” on 11-12-19 at about 4:45PM. She was trying to collect on the billing, which we understand and was very willing to pay. We told her that we have not yet received any statement from them or from our insurance and would like a copy of the itemized document so we can review it before paying anything – which I believe is within our rights to ask.She told us that it is not possible and it is necessary to settle $444.77 that day or our upcoming appointment for follow up on 11-14-19 would be cancelled and our account will be sent to collection. I told Buffy that, we are willing to pay right there and then if she can send us a copy of the statement on my email or we can settle on the Doctor’s office on our 11-14-19 appointment (in 2 days). Buffy was still insisting that it needed to be paid at that time over the phone and “it is not possible to send or print the statement, all she can do is print us a receipt of some sort AFTER paying”. I told her that, that shouldn’t be the way it works, as a client we should be able to review the statement BEFORE paying anything. I do not understand how it is impossible to print or email a statement of bill to a client. “It’s computer generated and it’s impossible to print or email” is her exact words.Again, I told her that we don’t have any problem paying what we owe as long as we have the statement to review and a document to keep for our taxes. She said that the statement had been sent 3rd week of October. I told her that we haven’t received anything or it may be possible that it’s not been forwarded correctly by the post office as we have recently moved.She is very rude and condescending like I don’t understand and aspect of this. I work in the healthcare industry and understand this process very well. What she’s doing is, she’s trying to bully clients on paying without any statement just to get the job done.She is continuously threatening to cancel our appointment and send our account to collection. I told her to go ahead and send it to collections if she’s not willing to work with us. I said, we’d rather deal with collections and settle. Her exact response was, “No! I will make sure you won’t be able to settle. I run this. This is what I do! If you don’t pay today, I will make sure this get sent to collection and you won’t be able to pay anything after I hung up” classic narcissist. At this point I knew there is no point on discussing with her. We finally received the statement as it was originally sent to our previous address. This statement was dated Oct 16th 2019 with amount due of $388.01 and a due date of 10/31/19. So we were 12 days past due when she called and she’s already threatening to send the account to collections.The thing is, under Federal Law per Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) an office should try to collect at least 31 days past due before sending the account to a collection agency, even up to 180 days.Funny thing is, on 11/17/19 we received and had a chance to review the “computer-generated” (So much for it being IMPOSSIBLE to be emailed or printed) not-official statement and the discrepancy of $56.76 was for the service date on our first visit 4/11/19 but check the date on the Billing it says 11/13/19 and check the past due balances on 31-60 days, 61-90 days, and over 90 days. Yep, you guessed it right. It’s all $0.00 because we don’t have any 31 past due balances to warrant our account to be sent to any collection agency. Dr. Hwang was great and detailed about my son's procedure but, best of all was being able to text him post-op when I had questions on my son's healing, etc. I do agree with him needing a better front office though.

This doctor was amazing at explaining everything to us. He went the extra mile in helping us contact another specialist he referred us to because we were unable to contact them through the information provided to us. I’m super happy with the service and treatment received from this clinic.

Great Doctor !I had a concern regarding my sons healing process .. I was able to send the doctor a text he promptly responded to reassure me that everything was okay .I appreciate being able to send a text...saved me time and worryAgain thank you !!!
