Absolutely the worst car rental experience we’ve ever had.
When we arrived at the rental desk, we were met with an incredibly rude and condescending attitude from the woman at the counter.
To make things worse, the dealership didn’t have the car we had reserved. Instead, they told us we’d need to travel to another location to get the car we booked- even though we had arrived by Uber and couldn’t just drive there ourselves.
We asked if there was another available car we could take instead, and she said we’d have to pay extra (accompanied, of course, by an eye roll). She then disappeared into the back room, and when she returned, she accused us of being late for our pickup- even though it was 11:30 a.m., our booking was for 11:00 a.m., and we had been standing in line for some time...
After all that, we were forced to wait another 2 hours(!!!!!) while they brought the car from another location.
We had never rented with Hertz before, but we always had a positive impression of the company. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed that. We’ll never rent from them again.
I only wish we had read the other reviews about this place beforehand. clearly, this kind of service is not one-time issue. Every other rental company we’ve used in the past simply upgrades you if they don’t have the car you booked. Apparently, Hertz operates differently.

Car I rented had more dents than someone with acne. Don’t even clean the inside out when getting it. Had dirt still in the back. Drive like crap and needed breaks. Wow I didn’t even want to drive it I was so embarrassed if it.

We were skeptical about renting from here after reading the reviews but took a chance. The prepaid rates were really competitive. Service was fast at counter. We got the exact vehicle category rental; a 2025 Jeep Compass 4 wheel drive Trailhawk with less than 20000 miles on it. Drop off in Palm Springs was very easy and smooth. We had a great experience with this rental.

I had a terrible experience with Hertz this week. I rented a car on Thursday and by Friday I noticed a loud noise while driving on the freeway. When I checked, I saw a big plastic piece hanging underneath the car. It looked like it had already been taped up before, which is pretty scary and weird— I didn’t want it flying off and causing an accident.
I went back to Hertz this morning to see if they could switch me into another car. The employee at the front desk, Jeri, had a really bad attitude. She told me they didn’t have another car the same size and basically said I’d have to drive all the way to the airport to see if they had one there. It wasn’t just what she said, it was how she said it — with an attitude, rude, like she couldn’t care less.
I wasn’t planning on canceling my rental, but after the way I was treated, I did. If this is how Hertz handles safety issues and customer service, I won’t be renting from them again. Poor attitude and unsafe cars are not a good mix.

This place is not good. rented a 7 seat car only to be notified that they only have 1 smaller car available, and still making me pay the same price as the larger car for one that was way too small. This location is trash! I will not recommend nor will i be returning

If you value your time, do NOT use this service.
We booked a car two weeks in advance for our trip to Las Vegas. We spent time and money on an Uber to get to their office — only to be told they had no car for us, and that no other locations had cars available either.
We flew in from Chicago for just 3 days in Vegas and had our entire trip planned — Grand Canyon, national parks, everything. And they simply didn’t give us a car. No solution. No help.
While we were sitting in the office looking for alternatives, another woman came in for her reservation and was told the same thing. She politely asked to speak with the manager and calmly asked what happened and what she should do.
The manager’s response? Yelling at her, saying:
“Get out of here! I’m not giving you a car. You’re not getting a car here.”
She was kicked out for simply asking questions.
This happened on July 21st, between 8:30 and 9:20 AM. You seriously need to review your security footage and speak to your staff — this kind of behavior is unacceptable.
We had to spend more money on another Uber to get back to our rental house. And now I’m stuck searching for another car, probably paying much more, because I need it last-minute.
So thank you, Hertz, for wasting our time, ruining our trip plans, and costing us a lot of extra money.
The worst customer experience I’ve ever had. Unprofessional and disrespectful.
I wish I could leave 0 stars — you don’t even deserve one.

The Hertz Rental I just picked up is very nice, just spacial enough for our trip to Lake Tahoe, smooth riding, very clean inside and out, full tank of gas,, Lovely, we love this S U V, Looking toward to a wonderful.trip. Thank you Hertz!

Absolutely the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had.
I arrived with a confirmed reservation, only to be met with a dismissive and rude attitude from the representative. When I politely asked if my reservation was in the system, she responded with a flat “I don’t think so,” and made no effort to even check properly. It felt like I was bothering her just by showing up.
There were only two customers total, yet the three staff members (including the manager!) kept saying they were “slammed” and acted completely overwhelmed. No one offered help or solutions — just attitude and eye rolls. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or disrespected as a paying customer.
This experience was incredibly frustrating, and it was the final straw for me. I’m officially done with Hertz. Never again.
