“I've had an account with TIAA for a long time. The company used to be known as TIAA-CREF, and it was the largest administrator of institutional retirement plans for universities and colleges. In recent years, they dropped the CREF name and changed to TIAA Financial. They also started marketing to the general public, offering the usual stocks, mutual funds and proprietary accounts to all. The aggressive marketing led them to recently establish an office in Vegas, on Howard Hughes Pkwy staffed by, it seems, by one person, Ari Faneuil. He reached out to me and invited me in for a complimentary consultation. It was an amazing experience. I'm going through some rough times rightnow, and Ari spent two hours with me, asking questions, gathering information, and mostly just listening. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with this in-depth meeting; the part about "listening" was so needed and appreciated. He followed up with a call the next day, giving me information on how to better secure my account, and will follow up again in a couple of weeks to present a more complete picture of my financial situation. The company has done well for me in the past, and Ari is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!”
