I brought my moms pet in to be euthanized due to a spinal injury that they could not afford to be treated. The amazing doctors and nurses did not feel comfortable putting her down due to her age and her having a chance to have a good life. They found her a home writhing hours. I can express how thankful I am . They are truly a blessing and I hope they continue to do amazing things going forward.

I brought an 7/12 year old bearded dragon in for possible parasites. Dr Martinez didn’t seem to have a clue as to what she was doing. She gave me an estimate of $788 for everything but an intestinal parasite screen. She literally tried to get me to do dental work before trying to see what his actual problem is. Then she claimed he has yellow fungus. Due to his markings. After requesting a parasite test again they agreed. Honestly I should have left but this was the only “reptile” vet that could see him within a few days. Now I have no trust in them and I’m awaiting a test I don’t even know if they’re actually sending out. I have an appointment with my regular vet hopefully he lives until then. Save your money and go to a place with professionals

If I put zero star, I will.
Horrible services.
My friends, my neighbor, my client recommended this place for me, they told me “this hospital was amazing, friendly and super fast, didn’t scam”. BUT, I took my dog go there and did a blood test and some more test. I paid around $422 , the doctor told me, she will call me next day to let me know about the results. I went there on Thursday, I wait till next Monday, I called asked about the results. The receptionist told me, the doctor will call me back in Monday. I waited till Wednesdays, they still kept silent and didn’t tell me what it is going on. I tried to call two time, stay in the line to wait for 20 mins / each call, and the same answer, the doctor will call me back.
I never recommend this hospital with any one. You paid a lot after that, you didn’t receive any results. They more than scam .

I called multiple times just to make an appointment and every time I got put on a hold for over 10 minutes. I just needed a few questions answered, because of this I’ll unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere since I can’t even book an appointment.

Durango Animal Hospital, along with the entire staff is always over the top for our two 17 year old cats. They are understanding and helpful in times of need and offer a complete explanation as to why and how of treatments if necessary. The other appreciated fact is it doesn't take a month to get in and see our vet.
Thanks Durango Animal Hospital

The international health certificate process through them is horrible! For starters when I brought my dog in, they had paperwork and checklists for the wrong country... Should have been my sign to run, but I let them do the health certificate, and submit due to the tight timeline. It got denied because of gaps in information, even after we had conversations about making sure everything was in line and ready. When I tried to get in contact with the vet, I was put on hold for HOURS, and told multiple times I would receive a call back by a certain time, and it never happened. I had to initiate follow up every time, even after being told I'd be called back. Anyone going through the health certificate process understands the importance of time as everything has to be on a specific timeline, and if you miss one thing, then you have to repeat others, so when I couldn't contact the vet for days it pushed back the entire process, and resulted in over a month long delay (again, people going through this process understand how expensive delays like this are. Ended up costing me thousands to change her flight, had to have her boarded, and multiple more vet visits to fill gaps. The lack of ability to do the health certificate was annoying enough, but the lack of responsiveness is what blew my mind. I've been to 10+ vets in America and never had an experience so unbelievably bad. Thankfully, I was able to find a vet to rectify the situation, and my dog has now already travelled, but I would caution everyone going through this process to LOOK ELSEWHERE.

This is my second visit here. The last time I was here I was pleased with the service and the building etc other than the less than satisfactory parking situation.
This time however I am more than disappointed and disgusted. I had to park half a mile away in the Albertsons parking lot (semi) then walk to the clinic. They proceeded to tell me that I needed a carrier for my kitten and they would charge me $6 for it. Or I could stay in my vehicle (which is half a mile away.) Apparently the soft sided pet carrier she was in and clutched to my chest cause she was scared wasn't sufficient for them. So I had to walk back to the truck half a mile. They are supposed to call me when they are ready and then I walk back another half mile! I think not! I won't be walking back to the clinic and then back to the semi again. I will find another veterinarian clinic. I've called several times to remove myself from the wait list and no one answers. Im not calling again, they'll figure it out I'm sure.
The heavy set receptionist at the counter was shaking her head rather than speaking to me or the other receptionist, perhaps she should educate herself about soft sided pet carriers and the art of oral communication since she works at a veterinarian office. You'd think she'd have a handle on the concept already.
This was my last visit here.

We have been bringing our pets here for 15 years. You can get appointments but we do walk-ins. From home I call to get on the walk in list. They send you a text link that shows where you are on the list and it’s updated constantly. When you’re 3-4 from the top you get a text to head over. We often will head over and wait in the lobby because if you get there before the “other person” that is heading over you might get called first. My favorite doctor is Dr. Vine and we always ask for him. Baby (our dog) more importantly liked him. All the doctors there are good and I have no compliant on any of them. The entire staff is great and the front desk remembered her name. They are also one of the few Vets that give Senior Discount. So ask for the discount. My husband just asked, is it a Sr Discount based on human age or pet’s age. I dont know. Ask!

The actual veterinary doctors here have always taken good care of us, but there are several members of the front desk staff {including the girl with all of the tattoos} that are just dumber than dirt and a nightmare to deal with. It hasn't always been this way, but it surely is now. Shame.

Thank you to the caring receptionist Isabel and Christina, especially Dr. Martinez for helping us say our final goodbyes to our family dog. Dr. Martinez reassured and comfort us that we were doing the right humane decision. She is a amazing human that cares deeply and gives all her patients and clients the beyond best, will always trust her with my furbabies. Thank you guys for everything! ?

Some stuff and I’m saying some stuff very unprofessional don’t know the terms of the test which need to do it and do but mistakes. Some of Doctors, I’m like it and some of them mediocre. So you choose go there or not but I am not recommended because they’re gonna miss much information. Specially, if you have multiple pets.??

Had received some help for my cat in the past to figure out what was going on with her.
They found out that she had asthma.
There was some good treatment done for her, but unfortunately, at another time at Durango Animal Hospital... she was given the wrong inhaler that was later found out by another veterinarian(doctor) from another clinic.. the inhaler was meant for canines(dogs), which is what was told to me.
She's doing much better now and doesn't need an injectable steroid periodically to keep her asthma attacks away. Instead, she's on an inhaler twice a day but does still have some steroid in it. I was told that she could still possibly be fine doing the injectable steroid when needed by Durango Animal Hospital, but I am just a little confused with it all as to what would be the best option for her long-term.
Another case, my other feline(cat) had swelling in his paw. The veternarian(doctor) tried to help figure out what was going on with him. I was told that there could be a possibility of having to amputate it.. :/
I was able to go find a second opinion and help elsewhere. Thankfully, at the VCA Animal Hospital in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. They were able to save his foot from being amputated.
Thank you all!
It has been struggling, but they both are living a very good life from all of the help from everybody.
Love yall! ?
