Amazing education for my son, caring teachers and staff. My son has been attending Challenger for 4 years now. They offer excellent education, independent work and we are very happy with staff as well.

Called the school. The lady on phone was so rude and in a rush to get me off the phone. I did not feel welcomed. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

I have learned very disturbing facts. In my 4 year olds class, they practice time out as a form of punishment for not following directions. My 4 year old did not use the color pink, instead used the color black to color her bunny. She was sent to timeout on what they call carpet time, and when she asked to pee Ms. Kayden said don't bother me. My child then held her pee then screamed out from agony emergency emergency which then she was allowed to use the restroom. After that she started crying and when Kayden asked her why the tears, my child said it was in response to her raising her voice. Kayden replied "are you kidding me!" My child was humiliated among her friends to be placed on the naughty carpet and observe the activity from a distance and when I spoke to Brenda she was passive aggressive, dismissive and said that the school is successful due to following all directions, and if I don't feel comfortable with their policy then I should just not send my child there. I was told even in art if a child does not follow correct color steps they then are sent to the carpet. My child was so disturbed by these emotions she couldn't sleep, she cried intensely and refused to go back to class as she said Kayden was mean to her and she felt alone and scared. Brenda told me the children have free will and they can use the bathroom anytime. As a 4 year old when placed on the naughty carpet, she did not know she had free will to exercise. Other alarming facts, they are learning about Christopher Columbus as a man who discovered America. I was also sent home a paper that read "I am fat" which the school said in response to my concerns that it is used for children to learn how to read. Apparently the meaning of sentences and the social culture of 2022 has no foundation in forming uplifting sentences for children as young as 4 to learn. I urge parents to speak to their children and find out what is really happening within these classes that are not made transparent to parents. The only reason I know what happened now is because my child is getting better at communicating and telling me what occurred. I hold both the school policy, Brenda for dismissal in my efforts to change punishment procedures renamed as carpet time and teacher Kayden for over exercising her authority in a classroom with a 4 year old child regarding colors that were selected in art

We've had our daughter here for the last couple of years - two years of preschool and now she's in kindergarten. It's unbelievable how much she knows - she can read a second grade level, her writing and ability to do math is excellent, and I couldn't be happier with her progress. The reason why we chose challenger for preschool and kindergarten is because of the reading program in particular. By the time they finish kindergarten, she'll be able to read about 80% of the English language because they teach them the foundation and rules so effectively. We are very happy that she is there.

My child has been enrolled in PreK at this Challenger campus for a short period now. I don’t have a single complaint or concern about the teachers, administration or curriculum so far. Coming from a strip mall day care, I’m ecstatic with the organization and structure of the class room. When I was shopping for PreK’s I was concerned that Challenger would be too academic oriented with not enough fun or social engagement. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Yes, the focus is always learning, but so far the delivery method of the material is social and fun.Every day when I pick her up I watch through the class window as the entire class participates in ORGANIZED singing and dancing. I stress the word organized here as it’s not a free for all where an unruly child is free to bounce off the walls. She’s learning through the story in the songs and she is learning how to have fun in a socially appropriate way. At home she is singing the songs without being prompted to do so. That alone tells me she is enjoying herself. Simply put, she is noticeably happier being at Challenger than where we were prior and so am I.

I have my 2 kids here since kindergarten and now my older is in 6th grade still going to challenger. The Algebra I she is doing here will not be done by most students in Nevada in 8th, 9th or 10th grade. Its not just the number of topics but also the in depth understanding. My kids do not whine at doing 15 - 20 math problems every night and that is because they grew in that atmosphere since kindergarten where they have to do what they have to do. Its all about being self reliant, confidant and managing work load.It definitely is expensive and of course I can go on a shopping spree every month if I do not have my kids here. But for me education is far more important than anything else. So if you have long term goals for your kids in life. Stick with the school as long as possible.Reading, spelling, language... its useless to tell you that I haven't encountered a single challenger student starting from 1st grade and up having any difficulty in reading, writing and spelling. They are at least 2 grade level above their peers.

Good place for preschool. For the difference in price between other facilities you get a lot more, worth the $$ and great staff.

This review was based on an appoitment we made to tour the facility for our 2 year old. The campus was clean and bright, outdoor play looked fun although I would have expected some equipment to play with. We observed a small class of students around 5 that were able to demonstrate some lessons they learned about vowels and their sounds. When we reviewed the curriculum our 2 year old would be exposed to I was surprised on some of the advaced exposure to reading, however this was a plus. The staff that walked us through answering our questions, Kristin I believe, had very high energy and knew all the students that randomly came through during our tour. Everything looked great, again, we only received a tour. For the price associated with tuition, I would expect a little nicer of a facility, and a play yard that had more space for playing ball, this area was to accommodate all ages and visually speaking seemed to lack something. We are still shopping schools at this time to find a happy medium between curriculum and cost, this school has not been ruled out for us yet.

I love the school and the teaching techniques. An absolute amazing school and worth every penny spent!
