my sister is an art major and used to attend the csn campus across the street and needed some new supplies for some pieces she has coming up. Since Christmas is around the corner I decided to take her on a little shopping spree because this is her go to place! This was my first time here and they also allow pets!!! So I was happy I could bring my baby with me. The employees were so sweet and even though my little dog was getting a little upset they didn't kick me out hahaha. They had sooo many art supplies here (professional) that you cannot find anywhere else in the valley. I really wish they had more locations because I would come here more often! But it's on the other side of town from me. They had many deals going on and even cute little stocking stuffers for the holidays!

Ok , I came in because "BLICK" brand paint withstood the Las Vegas Summer heat in my garage while the "BASICS ACRYLIC" turned into one large glob that I'm sure with a little water would come back to life. I was just so impressed with the "just like new "vibrant and pigment, I had to check out the store.However, I will say that the older gentleman who has beard , acted very pretentious and snobby with my questions about what was on sale, and almost shooed me aside so he could come look what I was asking even though the question was very clear, as it was Christmas , the entire store was on sale and I was just asking if the price on the displays were the amount off or the amount of the item. It was almost like he was making a show of not answering me , until he walked around the counter and then 10 feet to where I was standing, just to shoo me aside AND behind him to look at the tag that is identical To every other sale tag and me being the only one in the store, besides his 2 coworkers, he easily could have just said it's the price of not the dollar amount off.The next question I had was 7-8 minutes into my browse of this store, I was in blick paint isle looking for sets instead of buying each color individually. So I went up to the counter, and told him the story of why I love Blick with it withstanding the summer heat(trying to compliment the brand), and asked if he had any sets available. This time he walks me back to the isle I was in and said "here are all our paints " and starting walking away and I asked"so no sets of colors sold as a box set"? He said "no-o"And I said "ok" and as I stood there, and different employee who had also been helping me as I browsed, walked up and lo and behold, box sets were right there. I had missed them.Why would the older gentleman with silver hair and beard , brush me off like that? So , it made me feel a certain way, I ended up leaving after buying $120 in supplies.I wonder if he's the owner and if not would they appreciate such a snobby employee to persons who are just starting their painting journey?! Prices were decent, as a hobby store, it's not. It's mainly paint. I did not know that , I do mosaics , I really wanted crafts for my mosaic projects, and was planning to pick up a blick paint set while there, so , it's various paints, brushes and canvases. I think reasonably priced but I don't purchase enough painting supplies to give a fair assessment.This was more in the way I was feeling during and after l shopped there.

Blick Art Materials is simply the best. Very nice, helpful, and friendly staff. The staff want you to leave, knowing you have everything you need to complete your project(s).

Wayyy better selection on art supplies than Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff too!

It's a nice store ,good supplies ,sometimes good deals and prices.The down side ,you get followed around as if you are not there to shop, but to lift.Not sure if is base on appearance. What ever the cause is ,make the experience uncomfortable. Not every one is out to get you.

So grateful that Tia helped me find the 0.3 Graph pencil of my dreams, now I want the whole set. Also that she recommended a white gel pen for small ink corrections. I never would have thought. Such a game changer and made my editing a breeze. Great knowledgeable customer service from everyone. Thank you for an inspiring trip.

There is a lot of thing I loooovee it, the price is much better then other places if you are student they have also discount for you and also customer service is so kind and helpful to find stuff you need I recommended this place :)

I love this store! I could go broke if I shopped here too much! They have just about everything an artist needs to hone their craft. Not just painters but many different artistic disciplines. The staff is friendly, helpful and encouraging! So go ahead - shop to your heart's content!

I came into the Blick store looking for a oil paint thinner I was instantly greeted by the team members there . I was asked if I needed help by tia , instead of pointing me in the direction where I can find it, Tia help me find the best one and explain to me how they work.I rly appreciate the customer service

Great place for art supplies. If you are tired of big craft stores like Michaels and want just art supplies. This is the place. Reminds me of the type of store we would go to on the east coast when I was young.
