To keep it short and bittersweet. It's overpriced, in not so perfect area. And the selection isn't anything to brag about. Service however is decent.

Need checkers available until closing. If they expect me to check myself out, I expect an employee's discount for working for them!

I always shop at this location. It's clean, friendly staff and they have what I'm looking for.

I’ve been shopping at Albertsons for a long time, but my recent experience at this particular location (5975 West Tropicana Ave) has been extremely disappointing. I’ve noticed a recurring issue with the weight of meat in their department. Every time I buy meat, the weight on their scale is consistently higher than what I measure at home. I’ve used my own scale to verify this, and in some cases, it’s been off by as much as one pound.
I decided to take my scale into the store to show them the discrepancy. When I demonstrated how their scale showed 6.85 pounds but my scale showed almost a full pound less, they dismissed it, claiming my scale wasn’t “state-approved.” I pointed out that when I measured a can of goods, which should be a reliable weight, my scale was accurate, but their scale still showed incorrect measurements. Despite this, they refused to acknowledge the issue, suggesting it might be a problem with my scale but not providing any proof or valid explanation.
When I asked them when their scale was last calibrated, they couldn’t answer and were unable to provide a date for their state inspection. Their response was to just refer me to the state if I had a problem. They didn’t show any concern, empathy, or willingness to resolve the issue. It was clear they didn’t care that they were potentially misleading customers with inaccurate weights.
This is not a one-time issue—it’s been happening for months, and I’m not the only one affected. I can’t help but wonder how much profit they’re making by selling less meat than what they advertise. It’s frustrating to feel like I’m being lied to and not taken seriously by the staff. I would strongly recommend that the state conducts an investigation into this store’s scales. If there is any wrongdoing, the store or the meat department should be held accountable. This kind of practice is unfair to customers and should not be tolerated.

If I hadn't been on a business trip, I would have starved to death in California. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. My feeling has changed.

Good selection, fairly clean, decent sale items. Great coupons for discounts.

Three differents ways to get discounts, digital coupons, paper coupons, sale items, what an incredible hassle and waste of time. Then you spend too much time in the cashier line because of people questioning the varied coupons.
The last straw, no one at the regular cashier line. They were attempting to push people to use the self check. They should give us a 15% discount for that alone. Along with everything locked up (takes 15 mins just to get some alcohol). This store wastes your time. I walked away and will never return. The is a better place just across the street.
Never again!
