I've stayed at the Luxor many times over the years for conferences, both in the pyramid and the towers. This time in the pyramid was the worst. The 29th floor has in infestation of crickets. The noise made it difficult to sleep and one was in my headboard. Fortunately it crawled out and I was able to kill it. The others were not loud enough to affect my sleep. I talked to other guests that experienced the same problem. I feel this is unacceptable in a hotel, but there didn't appear to be any move to rid the floor of these noisy pests. If you get to a room and hear them, move rooms, it won't get any less noisy.

No prices on anything. Very deceptive. Water and some sodas cheaper in vending machines throughout hotel.

I will make this short - place was a blast. Rooms were great in the west tower - casino was clean and smelled good.Check in was simple, easy, fast and the casino is in a great location. The gym was great - the gym could holds its own to any membership gym. Thanks Luxor, looking forward to the next stay and making more memories.

If someone asked me if they should stay at the Luxor my immediate answer would be: no way I don't care how cheap the room is. I've stayed here in the past many moons ago along with some crazy stories- what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. The rooms and elevator were such a trip since they were slanted. Fun when you're sober. I was a guest of the hotel during the time the car bomber incident happened years ago in the parking structure. The casino was taped off and the guests were trapped at the hotel. They didn't tell anyone what happened. My friend and I escaped to our vehicle ended up on the news (hungover) rushing to a wedding at Green Valley Ranch. They told us it was a car bomb, the hotel gave us no information. Fast forward to Feb. 2023, I came here to see King Tut's Tomb experience as a local. That was really interesting and I totally recommend. The parking lot is your first impression and its so foul and dirty with trash everywhere. The walkway to the hotel is grungy. When you walk in the air is stale and smells bad. The people walking around look like zombies, smelly, and not classy. Then again this isn't the Wynn, Aria, or Belagio so that's expected. The employees don't really know whats going on and don't provide the best service. I don't feel safe here. The food court is lacking. It just feels outdated, old, low quality, and empty. The only cool thing about the Luxor is driving by the pyramid on Las Vegas BLVD and seeing the light shooting straight into space with the sphinx. Maybe one day soon it gets a major revamp like most hotels on the strip.

We stayed here 3 nights in the pyramid - the King Suite with a tub by the window looking directly at Mandalay Bay. I always wanted to stay in the pyramid so we finally did! The "inclinators" were slow, but nothing more than 5 minutes from the 19th floor. It was a slow time though so I can see how they would get super busy. Unfortunately, our room, 19001 was directly across from our floor's elevator so we had a dang trek every time we wanted to go somewhere or put something back in the room "real quick". That's my main complaint - had we been on a lower floor or closer to the elevator - it might not be terrible. Our AC went out for one night, that sucked, we didn't get offered a discount or anything either. But they fixed it the next day and the rest of the stay was fine. We used the food court a couple times, ate at Diablo's, and a few visits ago we saw Carrot Top which was actually really enjoyable! Overall, I don't think we'll be back to stay here.

Room was clean and cleaning lady was friendly (although wanted us to choose to have room cleaned every day.) Water was lukewarm the first day, but nice and hot other days. The furniture was a bit banged up, but we had a large room with hot tub and sitting room with a nice view of the sky and airport. Bed was comfy, towels plentiful, included an air purifier. Didn't hear any noises from other guests. Drapes covered windows well: nice sleeping environment. Mobile check in on the app, no waiting in lines, room was ready around noon at no extra charge. You can use your phone to get in your room, but you'll want to grab a physical key to get to your floor in the elevator as thee we elevator sensor is touchy (we learned that from the friendly Luxor locksmith who rode up with us on the first day.) Nice shows here, we saw and loved Carrot Top. Bought some ibuprofen at their Essentials shop, free bag storage, Starbucks coffee galore (no coffeemakers in rooms) and lots of restaurants, bars, casino machines. Avoid the expensive buffet in the basement unless you want to pay $28 s person for very average food. This hotel has somewhere around 4,200 rooms, so it's a busy happening place. Built in 1992 or so, it is a bit rough around the edges but still very serviceable.

The best thing I can say about the Luxor is the beds were comfortable. That is important; I have stayed in rooms that were nicer with "brick" beds, so I'll take the dated and dusty Luxor with decent beds over those rooms! That said, I do not enthusiastically recommend this property. We booked our room within the CES block, so it was affordable by Vegas standards ($200-something; higher on Fri and Sat.) We had a room in the east tower. I was glad to get a tower room because I had heard the pyramid rooms were older and not as nice.PARKING: Self-parking is far away from the front of the building. It took my husband 10 minutes to park and another 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the front of the hotel. CHECK-IN: Thankfully he was able to do it via app, because at 7 p.m. on a Thursday the line was LONG. A friendly, chatty fellow whom we thought was a hotel employee struck up a conversation. Quickly we learned he was just a time share hawker. They're everywhere in Vegas. After checking in via the app, my husband made us 2 keys on the machine, and we set off in search of our room.FINDING THE ROOM: It was tough! The time share hawker sent us to the wrong elevator (of course). When our key card wouldn't start the elevator, we realized it was the wrong one. You cannot even start the elevator without the correct key card. Finally, we found the right one. You wave your card in front of the reader and press the button for your floor. You better hurry if you have a low floor, because if someone above you beats you to it, you'll take an unnecessary trip to their floor.THE ROOM: Our "Tower Premier Two Queen" room was spacious, with two queen beds, two upholstered chairs, a desk counter, desk chair, wardrobe, safe, and three big drawers. The bathroom was also large with a separate shower and a big soaking tub. Water pressure was good. I would have hated the pyramid shower that doesn't have a full door, soaking the bathroom every time one showers. This one had a full door. The room seemed clean. However, on day 2 I tried to use the phone and discovered it was disconnected. Leaning down to plug it in, I was repulsed by the layers of dust behind the nightstand. That area looked like it had not been cleaned in two years. The check-in app asked if we wanted to "opt out of housekeeping". No, we did NOT! One of the joys of staying at a hotel is having your room cleaned every day! On day 2, I spotted a housekeeper down the hall and asked if she was assigned to our room. Her name was Shtina. She said she would do it. She did a nice job cleaning and left me the extra towels I'd asked for. But she didn't get me the blanket I requested, and I had to call for it. It did come quickly after that. (The beds have only a thin sheet and comforter combo - no extra blanket is supplied in the wardrobe.)Day 3 - At 10:37 a.m. I saw a cleaner down the hall (not Shtina) who she said she was not assigned to us, but she'd tell the supervisor we wanted a cleaning. (Why? We did not opt "out" of housekeeping - it should be automatic, right??) When I returned at 1 p.m. the room was not cleaned. I called housekeeping. They said they would come. I left for the gym at 2:13 and when I returned at 4:03, the room was still not cleaned. I called AGAIN and was told they would come at 5. The housekeeper showed up at 5:45 pm after my husband had returned and we were ready to eat. I had her just leave towels. I was not happy. Many reviewers comment, "who cares about the room; you don't spend time there anyway; it's just for sleeping". That isn't always true. My husband had a pass to CES. I did not. I had a class to prepare for online teaching and planned to spend several hours doing that. I am not much of a gambler, either. So, I spent a great deal of time in the room while he was at CES.FOOD: There are no refrigerators in non-suites. We brought a cooler but of course you're limited with what you can keep cold. There are various places to buy food on the property, bu

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Just a bit on the dated side. The beds were fairly comfortable, the pillows were uncomfortable though. Great water pressure. The shower didn't have a door. Water splashed all over the floor. The TV might have been over 10 years old, the picture was a little on the blurry side. Not sure I would recommend staying here.

It "pays" to have high roller friends who comped our room - a suite and during CES, busiest convention in LV! Quality/Quantity - We have not stayed at this location since like 2010, when you opened. Not much has changed, I think it is time for a remodel? But the room is much larger than expected, nice to have a separate seating area.Actually for such a large room, including the bathroom, why are there so few towel bars? And can I suggest a double sink? And a jacuzzi bath in the bedroom. My daughter asked if I was going to take a bath; LOL.Thanks for the fridge & safe, but the last guest did NOT leave the safe door open.Hope no one steals my Yelp stuff, LOL. Atmosphere - Open 24 hours.Slanted room ceilings, got to get used to that. Glad I am not 7 feet tall.Dog friendly.See website, but also available: pools, transportation, rental cars, spa & salon, clubs, fitness center, shopping, events, conventions, weddings, catering, etc. Also connected to Mandalay resort and Excalibur resort via tram or indoor walking.Current restaurants are: Diablo's Cantina, Public House, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Buffet at Luxor, Pyramid Cafe, Starbucks, Blizz, and of course a food court. Service - 5 stars so far. Checked us in early, again it "pays" to have high roller gold status friends! We were ready to check our bags and hit the road. Getting our room early makes such a big difference. Thank you. Price - Comped!! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1993. I am not as big of a MGM guest as Caesars, but I am an MGM shareholder.

Checking in was a longer line, but too be expected as it was New Year's weekend and was a little hectic since a lot of us were in town for the Niner's and Raider's game. Shirley or Sherry (My apologies if I got your name wrong) was a doll and was able to get us into our room earlier, so we could drop off our luggage and head out to tailgate a bit before entering the stadium to watch our game.We loved our stay at the Luxor and our King Suite. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view. The elevators were a little of a hassle, and using our room key for the parking garage didn't work, but we were able to get immediate help, so we weren't just stuck in the garage. The Luxor hotel was in walking distance to the stadium and other casinos and was a huge perk! The Luxor will be our home base in the future when we come back for our games. We also dined in the buffet here for brunch 1/02/23 and was over priced and food quality was mediocre at it's finest. The Carving station was served hot and nachos and Hawaiian ice cream were my favorites. It's was not worth $80 for the both of us.

Hotel Room Theft/Premise liability - Staying at the newly renovated East Tower at Luxor has been a horrible experience. When we walked in I noticed that on the hand towel there was a dark hair and then stuff left over in the bathroom. I wouldn't have complained about these little mishaps, BUT as we left our room unattended for 2-2.5 hours it was broken into. How was it broken into? Well, someone had to have used a key. This room is located near the stairs and exit. This must have made this hallway or us clear targets. Security was involved and we filled out a report. Hotels know who badges into rooms. Housekeeping came down and shared that none of their staff entered our room. Several items were stolen and this person with a key walked out with a backpack with numerous personal belongings, several charges and cables, battery packs, and cash. Staff also have not been cordial about this issue. Housekeeping prior to a lady coming down to give us food and beverage vouchers was rude on the phone and accused of of stating it was there staff when there housekeeping cart was found outside our door. Who else has the capacity to enter our room unattended, so we were just stating that someone with a key came into our room and ransacked it and left with our belongings with no consequences from Luxor. This I believe would be considered premises liability as Luxor allowed someone with a key to go into a room of a guest and allow theft to occur. Engineering also came by to double check the door and said that the door closed correctly and no one physical broke in and that it is suspected a person with a room key broke into the room. Please think twice before you stay here at Luxor......theft can occur in your locked room while you're away. This happened between a 2-2.5 hour window so we almost feel like we were targeted.
